remove g hub from startup, restart pc and run g hub as administrator, that fixed it for me.

or fix bad sound quality with surround?
i had a fix for my old G430, if you had it one one specific balance type then set it to the second surround sound option instead of the default it completly fixed my audio issues, though it seems the new driver only has the DTS surround option.
I REMEMBERED THE FIX
Step 1 - open sound settings.
Step 2 - Sound Control Panel (playback device menu in older versions of windows).
Step 3 - Speaker Properties > Advanced > Change format from 16bit, 48000 Hz (DVD quality) to 16 bitm, 32000 Hz (FM Radio)
Step 4 - Profit.

Check how you have it plugged in. Take all the parts of the cable and only use the USB part

i can tell you from experience the g430s are better in every way. the cord is shorter made out of rubber and mine already has a hole in it. also the sound is exactly the same and the volume notch on the headset is dumb, i am always fiddling with the volume because every time i pick them up it turns the volume up or down because the wheel has a hair touch.
No gaming headset is not worth it

usb thing is 7.1 , and you have to download logitech hub and enable surround sound there :)

@@stableihsen7619 I still havent experienced them (I never did with g231 either), but I'm not using 7.1(I don't like it for gaming). Everything else sounds ok.
I think whatever you take will be a good choice, you cant go wrong with logitech :D

I've owned about 5 logitech headsets over the years.. My only gripe with them is how easy it is to break that small bit of plastic on the headband where it says "g332" like at 1:18 ... The last one broke within the first month :( i really love these things but hope they change the shoddy plastic quality. Until then I think I'm gonna try another brand.

The g342 is a downgrade in every way, the sound is the same, the cord is shorter, the cord is rubber and wears easily to where i have one hole in mine and another forming, the volume control on the headset is way to lose and it changes the volume i have it set at every time i pick up my headset and accidentally bump it or go to scratch my head and touch it, and now the mic is picking up the headset creaking when i barely move my head.
If the mic is picking up the sound dosent that mean its a better mic also its not thier fault you poke holes your cords
@@DinoDeBlue no it means it is built poorly if it creaks and i take very good care of my stuff the wire is just extremely fragile and i could make the rubber casing around the wire is super thin, almost like a rubber version of plastic wrap, maybe even thinner.

This headset sounds worse than the G430. Extremely disappointed.
DO NOT GET THIS HEADSET!! I PROMISE YOU YOU WILL REGRET IT! this is not an upgrade from the G430! instead, stick to the G430 its literally a buggy mess and chooses when it wants to connect to your computer or not. worst decision of my life and i want you all to be mindful of that. I thought it was an upgrade but honestly the G430s are louder and better and easier to use. this is straight up a cash grab. take my words into consideration!
