When Logitech offered to send over the Logitech G432 7.1 surround sound gaming headset for review I was initially really excited to try something that might compete with my current and beloved Logitech G Pro's.
So here's the good and the bad..
Good: 7.1 surround sound is awesome and the included DAC really makes a difference especially when playing in FPS games where hearing the opposition is the difference between winning or losing.
Bad: The microphone is average at best. I mean its fine for what it's designed to do but you're not going to be wanting to live stream with this microphone anytime soon..
Now with the comfort its obviously going to depend from person to person but I found these to be super tight and basically felt like after a few hours like my head was being squeezed and never really felt comfortable with them...
So if you can get them for under $100 then I think you have a got yourself a good deal, but for the asking price of $149 I think you are personally better off getting the Logitech G Pro or even Hyper X Cloud as even though they don't have 7.1 I don't think you'll really miss and the mic's on those headsets are far far better!

In case you weren't aware.
The general consensus for this headset and mic is: Don't use the regular jacks. But switch to the USB port that's added with it.
It improves the sounds a LOT better (and doesn't sound like this.)

i found a way to make it sound better, go to sound control panel, go to recording, click on the mic with the headset then press properties, go to advanced, and put the one with highest hz

@@DoctorWhom Basically changing the audio frequency for a higher sound output...if that makes sense. I had the g430's and remember doing the same thing years ago, since by default the headset is set to studio quality playback( iirc) which sounds clear but very low in comparison to Fm quality( being the loudest while still clear) or even cd quality which is right in-between.
Kinda confusing through text but if you mess around with it in sound control panel for your headsets, it'll explain itself really.
Are these settings on PS4? Like the sound control panel

Sounded pretty good to me. You were probably using a much better mic to record the review but its decent for gaming I think.
yeah, alot of reviwers ignore that 95% of people are fine with a mic like this. Only way people really arent fine with a mic you have is if you have a dollar store mic where you can hear your entire house lol

I recently bought these, but there is a big problem. The headphones sound terrible. THe sound is very flat the surround effect isn't noticable and overall they sound very distant. Is it a bad specimen or are the headphones just like that ? I'm returning them tomorow so i would ask you for a quick answer. Thx in advance.

Buy a usb splitter, they’re 8 dollars on Amazon. Plug it into your one or 2 USB ports and it has 4 on the other end. Sorry I didn’t see this till now I could’ve helped u months ago. You need to work on audio balancing. Your voice went from really quite to really loud. You can do this in adobe premier by highlighting the hole video and then normalize max peaks.

As long as you use the included usb-sound-card you'll be fine. I love mine. almost studio quality in voice-chats and gaming.

these are about 85 australian dollars with blackshark v2 x's both similar price and im struggling to decide which ones to get some other ones ive looked at are (steelseries arctis 3, razer kraken x or lite, maybe spc gear viro but i doubt about those) so yeah im having trouble picking out of those preferably
Hi, when turning on the microphone, I can hear (i can hear echo) how can I fix it? Is not really funny when talking to friends.
@@SocialHardware I have fixed it, just going to the sound options on w10 control panel, the microphone had an option marked "listen device" and thats why I was hearing myself .

problem with all Logitech G headsets in the DJ-Style is that they will break where the earpiece connects to the headband. Had two pairs of G430 and now got the G432 (last two were warranty replacements) and they are the exact same design. The junction is the same on all of the DJ-Style headsets. The G432 has lower quality audio than the G430 when comparing analog only (3.5mm jacks). It is fine for watching netflix or youtube but for gaming a lot the game sounds were distant or muffled sounding. Ive had $20 planttronic headphones that sounded exceptionally louder than these. Since I use an external USB soundboard I cannot use the USB TDAC.
How can I my own solve the echo when I connect to a ps4 with the USB?

I just bought and the sound is very poor and is high how can i fix it or the max of the sound is that anyone fan help me?
I just got a new PC and my headset I used for my Xbox didn't work on my PC so in a rush I ordered the G432. This was a huge mistake. When I first plugged them in with the DAC it worked perfectly the first time. Then I unplugged them in order to do some cord/wire management so they weren't hanging on the floor so I didn't accidentally run over it with my chair. Then, when I plugged it in the second time I could here this faint static noise in the background. Also on discord and other platforms that require you to speak in them in wasn't working. I tried everything I could on G-Hub and at this point I think I'm just going to refund them. If anyone has any ideas please reply :)

Im hearing my friend use these headphones over discord right now and the quality is far far better than what is shown on the video. He's got it connected straight to his PC not using the USB dongle. Maybe thats where the degredation lies?

Hello, when I plug in the headphones with the DAC on my computer, I hear some slight white noise coming from the headphones and this can be very annoying. I'm using the DAC simply because it makes my microphone sound better. Any tips?

I bought these and they broke in the exact same area. Luckily they have a 2 year warranty for them so I can just get another one. And those ones broke in the same exact spot as well. Worst headphones ever

It would've been nice if you had tested the sidetone feature and commented on that. Too many reviewers gloss over this feature, even though it might be a big factor for a lot of people when getting a new headset.

@@MrMoppeh Sidetone is like an instant feedback of your mic to your own headset. It's sort of like when you're talking in a phone, you can still hear yourself a little bit, but good sidetone is like an enhancement of that.
Sidetone helps you hear your own voice, and especially your pronunciation of some letters, especially the S's. It's a nice feature, that helps you control your own voice level while talking to others online. If you can't hear your own voice properly, you might talk louder than normally.

@@MrMoppeh In GHUB, click on the headset, and then there should be a sidetone slider. At 8:33 in the video you can see him navigate to that part, but he just never touches the slider or comments on if it's good or not.

Just got those for 45 euros, I'm coming from in ear samsung wired earbuds, so with the mic, the snug fit and the surround sound work great for me
I bought these for about 50€ and I would say they are one of the best in the price range. After I used them for some time they stretch a bit, so the don't are so tight anymore. The mic isn't the best, but when you tweaky around with an equalizer or something, it sounds good. When you only need a mic to comm in games or in discord you don't need to do anything. The speakers lack some bass on standert settings, but I just make a "V-Shape" in the qualizer settings for listening to music.

I don't know why people complain about tightness. Lot's of things people wear need to be broken in or fitted like shoes or baseball gloves. Headsets are generally one size fits all, so they will come out of the box tight. You just put the headset around something over night like a basketball or whatever and it will be good. If not put it around for another night. It's better to have a tight headset that you can stretch than an overly sized headset.
It won't pick up any sound from the mic on my Xbox one . How do I fix it? I already tried to unplug and plug back in.

Sound + Mic quality seems fine to me since I plug it into my case 3.5mm jack and the audio codec chip that's embedded onto my motherboard is an ALC887 by Realtek. However, I'd like to consider that the build quality seems to be questionable as I had an older model of these pair before (Logitech G332). The older ones were broken due to the wear of the plastic swivel on one of the speaker. I was just an unlucky customer. My only wish is that they made the cable for this headset detachable from the speakers. This would be great since you don't have to worry about yanking the cable by accident thus causing damage.
I use the 4-5 year old model g40whatever and the sound is fantastic. Highs are ridiculous and lows are perfect for Warzone footsteps. My only issue with it is hearing myself, though my friends don’t complain, i have to yell to hear myself. Capture range is ridonkulous, picks up the faintest sounds

IMO the microphone is suppose to be better than the mic that comes with the G430’s and I actually just got finished a game now and I was getting great compliments on my mic with my G430’s. They thought it was a $150+ headset and were very shocked when I said I spent $45 US on my G430’s. Lol. So, the G432’s are suppose to be an upgraded version, I’d go with the G432’s.
