Yeah if you're a cop and you feel threatened by someone who is openly filming, not even trying to hide it, you should be stripped of your badge. These guys have a complete monopoly on the use of force, are fully loaded to go into a war zone but somehow a camera makes them fear for their safety. American cops are huge pussies, I think we should be personally mocking these people as a society. They are supposed to be the brave ones who act when we all freeze, but put a lens on them and they panic.

It must not be that intense of an investigation if they have time to have several officers leave the scene just to harass a photographer. The problem with a lot of officers is that their pride and machismo gets in the way of them doing their jobs: Protecting and Serving the public. Nowhere in the constitution or in any police departments policy does it state that police are there to harass law abiding citizens who are clearly doing nothing wrong. This officer should be fired for the simple fact that he lacks the integrity to safely perform his duties.

and another for Cop Watchers/Auditors. If the Police can't control the Narative like with Corperate Media,
they pull the Move back 10,000 ft, so you are unable to get any footage.

"I already gave you my order."
No he didn't. Every time he discussed where he wanted Philip to stand, it was phrased as a request, not as a lawful order. Further, as Philip mentioned, the improvement in officer safety is insignificant for standing at 25.5 feet vs 25 feet.

It's the sheeps' fault. We are not educated about our rights so we allow them to get away with murder and now it is normalized to them that we should follow their orders no matter what. If a police officer says to give ID because he asked or that he can require ID whenever he wants then he should be reprimanded. There should be consequences to bad behavior but in the majority of cases the police investigate themselves and the outcome is too frequently a joke.

They have always been like this. Only now, it is being recorded and they don't like that. This shines the light on them to protect the public. Finally they are being called out on their unlawful ways.

2 Austin police officers just got 10-20 days suspension without pay for violating this guy's 1st amendment right and here are 2 more doing the same thing. How do you feel threatened by someone's presence about 20ft away, then you walk over and close the distance between you and the "threatening" person with a camera......Thats oxymoronic and makes no sense
