Yeah if you're a cop and you feel threatened by someone who is openly filming, not even trying to hide it, you should be stripped of your badge. It must not be that intense of an investigation if they have time to have several officers leave the scene just to harass a photographer. The problem with a lot of officers is that their pride and machismo gets in the way of them doing their jobs: Protecting and Serving the public. Nowhere in the constitution or in any police departments policy does it state that police are there to harass law abiding citizens who are clearly doing nothing wrong. This officer should be fired for the simple fact that he lacks the integrity to safely perform his duties.

Other District Courts have said 15' is enough distance for Officer Safety. Personally,I try to stay around 30' because I can get better shots of the entire scene. Regardless,at 25' your giving the Officers ample room for safety yet are close enough to get your shots in the dark.
In LTC class it a 21 foot rule meaning someone can do harm to you if they were within 21". He was well outside 21'. Typical APD, I have had my share of run ins with them. Power tripping thugs.
