    The Pasco Sheriff’s Office Explorer Program, Post 916, is chartered through Boy Scouts of America (BSA) and allows teenagers and young adults between the ages of 14 and 21, get exposed to a career in law enforcement. Members meet every Tuesday night from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the Safety Town complex near State Road 52 and the Suncoast Parkway. Explorers receive training in a variety of topics including handcuffing procedures, building search tactics, officer safety, communication skills, state statute familiarity, report writing, and much more. Explorers can participate in a number of community events and training sessions, such as the Leadership and Drill Academy, Ride Along Academy, Firearms/Pistol Team Academy, state competition, national Explorer events, and ride alongs with Pasco deputies.
