These are made of nickel titanium and when they are heated up they go to their original form this is how braces straighten teeth and that is why when you make your braces cold they hurt less.
Depending on the melting point of this metal and some other metals used in something like a heated blanket, I think it could be possible to lace these with something similar.

In one of the wolverine origine movies, he effortlessly cut through a porcelain sink entirely on accident and ran through a cell dragging his claws through steel cages without losing any momentum. I'm sure some concrete wouldn't stand any chance
