Oak Wood Pedestal Accent Table: Design and Build

In this video I’m going to try to make a tall pedestal accent table. A pedestal table is any table that has one central supporting column or pillar. It will act as a sort of plant stand for me, used to display a decorative vase.
I thought this project would be a quick and easy build since the overall design is pretty straightforward, but I underestimated how tricky it was going to be. As a hobbyist woodworker, I still have a lot to learn, but sometimes pushing ourselves past our perceived limits is the best way to learn and grow. I definitely learned a lot on this build. It is, by no means, a perfect piece of furniture but I am happy with the end result. I was able to produce a piece of furniture that matches the vision I had in my head, so I’ll count that as a win and take the lessons I learned on this project with me to the next build.
