I loved this movie when I was a kid. Davey Crocket was my hero. I’m almost Sixty nine and it moves me more than it did when I was a kid. I married a Mexican Girl over forty years ago and I love her more than ever. The love of freedom comes from our Creator who gave us free will. In 2024, we are facing some big choices.
@Mercedesgonzalez1658, YES, and also The Republic of The United States.!! Way too many Great PATRIOTS have to even try to count.!!! FACTS.!! The untold Sacrifices made by so many people is really something we'll never know.!! Only a handful of them are famous, and mentioned in history.!! We are a free people due to the UNKNOWNS hardships, and suffering.!! We all have ancestors who gave all, and have the Freedom we enjoy today, because of them.!! We are, and have to be One People, and One Family to keep the the Republic Safe, and FREE.!!❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😊
Custer did the same thing Santa Anna did. Santa Anna split his forces not knowing what to expect after the Alamo, and Custer thought his forces were strong enough to split them, didnt know the terrain or how many Indians he was facing, both lost men. Santa Anna was captured, and Custer died along with his men, finally, hopefully, realizing what a stupid mistake he'd done
Much to admire, and well made. However the overall result lacks something, for example the Ernest Borgnine character not fully developed, or perhaps truncated by editing. (Herbert Yates did not like running times in excess of 95 minutes). The production programmes of 1954 and 1955 contributed to the ultimate demise of Republic, not helped by the block-booking system of the time.
I remember going to the Fox Theater downtown as a kid watching this movie. It's good to see it again. Thank you Do you know that the Alamo is still here? Sadly, it is across the street from a shopping center in San Antonio, Texas.
❤😂❤ MAHALO 🙏 SHALOM ☮️ ALLAH'U'ABHA 🌹 Missed TX...oh, how I love to BE back... WOW 😳 No battle such as the "ALAMO" as is "WaterLOO".. I lost all battles in my life of 69..."I fight NO more"!~ Chief JOE🌵🌵🦬🦬❤👹

The Alamo 1836...to the last man dead...overrun by nearly 6000 Mexican troops. The Texans repaid Santa Anna shortly after at San Jacinto and Texas became a republic. DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS!

Can't believe I've never seen this movie before but seen the Alamo bout dozen times
If Slim Pickens is in a movie, it's good.
J. Carroll Nash, a view of an older Texas and US from the 1950s. We might learn something
It’s funny Sterling Hayden played Jim Bowie and Alan Ladd played Jim Bowie too. It’s about a 1 foot difference in height between them!!
RICHARD WIDMARK ALSO PLAYED COL JIM BOWIE IN ALAMO WITH JOHN WAYNE AS DAVY CROCKETT

It took 188 years, but we (meaning Washington) finally surrendered. Thanks, Joe.
WTF are you babbling about?
If people break our law by entering this country they can get what they want in our prisons.

Thumbnail shows a modern-day combat soldier and it doesn't fit the movie! Clickbait!

TRUE PATRIOTS... and believe me when I say, millions more in this country now.
Bringing women and children into a war context is madness. First time raining in the Alamo.
The thumbnail though? I thought it was about Vietnam
👍👍
GALLOPLE HORSELO 🐎🐴☝
Is it true that they are mostly dead men????????>

In 2024 the Texans have got it to do all over again. Remember the Alamo boys.
