Hindi Cinema and the actors have been swimming in opulence because of how their tabloid and paparazzi operates (it is the ecosystem, I'm not calling out individuals). I'm not suggesting that South India abhors this opulence, but they aren't akin to it either. Even if someone looks out of place in such a setting, I think it's great that they could hold their own.
