- Some of us have gams that appear as if they were sculpted by the gods themselves on the apex of Mount Olympus. Others, however, have legs that seem like they were dry-cured in the basement of a French farmhouse next to a beautifully-marbled Andouillette sausage. We'll let you decide if this episode is about the former or the latter.

"Nobody could do your make up. You'd have to get a freemason who has sacred geometry knowledge. They'd have to know hieroglyphic tablets. The cuneiform. Ain't nobody alive that's like that."
Katya's jokes catch me off guard sometimes, what a brain
my favourite thing about her is her galaxy-brain way to say something simple, she'd be a great English Lit teacher
Literally an underrated genius
She makes me feel like I definitely need to read more books and expand this vernacular lol
I wish I had Trixie’s energy and work ethic. I walk to the bathroom and sit down on the toilet just to rest.
LOL same
Truth.
Big mood
i’m literally doing that rn reading this comment at work😭🤣

It’s now 10x funnier every time Katya says Marry knowing her childhood friend used to call his own mother that. It’s a Deeeep inside joke
I had the exact same thought lol. I can’t un hear it it’s like her version“hey girl” but better
I appreciated the clarification/correction on being “negative”, instead of “clean”. That’s a much better way to phrase that.
That was very considerate of them.
I understand why people say it, because "clean" is a really old way to refer to your health, even before the association of "clean" with being HIV negative (getting a "clean bill of health," etc). I'm glad they took the time to make the correction though. It can be tough to change old habits.
@@risemixFGC also the “clean bill of health” itself just reeks of greater purity culture, also insinuating that disabled/chronically ill ppl are somehow “dirty” because of their illness, just very diabolical to me. I’m glad people are moving away from that phrasing
I found so lovely the fact that Trixie was recording the podcast and still she considered it her free day. Like it’s chill! She is just talking to her friend and enjoying it. That's why I love the pod!
i like to think trixie and katya are sentient wigs that occasionally use brian and brian as hosts
Oh my god 😂
B1 and B2
I don’t hate this idea.
PLS someone turn this into a series
Where's the lie, Mary?
I feel like we are just eavesdropping on their conversation hahaha
folding laundry listening to the Spotify version of the pod feels like my mysterious neighbours that are seldom home are talking with their balcony door open and I'm just turning in on the tea for the month

Trixie: we should take better care of our voices, and stop stressing it with impressions.
T & k: proceeds to do non stop impressions of the worst sounding people, lol.
Katya doesn't like her side profile??? I love it, her nose literally makes it and is gorgeous
fr!!!
I love love love her nose especially, I am so jealous
In drag, she, absolutely, makes it work.
truly absurd like she's so beautiful in drag and really handsome out of it, especially this ep I was like challenging profile where??!!
N-word please stop lying
Use the word Mom when you have it. Trixie--that was so sweet
these two queens of comedy never hearing "bofa" is making me scream
I have never seen my mom without acrylic nails in my 24 years of living. She was a secretary for 20 years and tip tapped her life away with them. When lockdown closed down her nail tech of 20 years she was seriously losing her mind.
Does she even have real nails left beneath them?? 😅 that is true commitment
Lolol
Your mom is a QUEEN 👑💅🏻

love their convo about nails and dissonance/dysphoria, I know yall worry about re-telling stories but these sort of discussions and lines of thinking borne out of storytelling and humouring an idea or exploring a topic are so cool to listening to
thank christ you guys are back this week. it is alarming how much i rely on this pod for my sanity..
Sounds like you need Better Help ;)

Same sis, medication + Trixie + Katya = my sanity ❤
They went deep on this one. Philosophy of drag. I like what Trixie said near the end, about fully believing in her female presentation. I think that's why she sells her look so well, because she completely believes in it. That's commitment to one's art that I can appreciate 😊 Enlightening episode, good post-tour decompression
She's also a literal trained actress, so there's that
@@RNCHFND true, but let's remember this is not just an actor playing any role. This particular Barbie doll character is incredibly personal to Trixie. It's the role she plays constantly, and in many ways is an extension of her own personality
LOVE that you called out endometriosis Katya! As someone who has it, I feel so heard, seen, and supported. Most people don't even know what it means.
Omg same!! I've dealt with it since grade 10
except she incorrectly stated that a cream cures endometriosis. nothing cures endometriosis.

Happy 400th Birthday, Katya! 😘
I can say that because I am also 400, but she's 2 days older.
Oh, yeah. Good call, fellow flop!
Happy Belated Birthday, Katya Zamo!
She’s 400 million years old
AAAHHH!!!
Happy birthday to 2 legends, Jonny and Katya!
I love that they were talking about gay voice and then Trixie, for what has to be the first time in history, calls the bofa joke “fierce”
Brian May from Queen gets the acrylics for playing guitar, & he basically dresses like a wizard onstage so he goes for silver glitter or whatever. It was kinda neat to find out guitarists do that.
I guess Trixie is the definition of "when you love what you do, you'll never have to work a day in your life".... cuz she really must love what she does cuz she just never stops!!!
she's like RuPaul. she knows fame and relevance are temporary, so she hustles hard
I love that Katya ended up enjoying the tour. 🖤
I know!!
Tracey: When I’m in drag, I feel like a woman.
Katya: But you look like a monster 💀
Trixie: begging and grovelling for compliments for the last 8 years
Katya, consistently: you look like a freak
What a stellar friendship lmao
@@naurcho why it works
My friend had neon acrylic nails that were so long she couldn’t grip the steering wheel while driving. Drove her Charger around town with two open palms at 10 and 2.
Lmao
I love imagining this 😂

24:17 glad you asked. steamer works similarly as kettle so if the water is not distilled you have some magnesium and calcium hydroxide that by process of heating can transform into insoluble oxides which will cause boiler stone to form and eventually break the steamer. it can be removed by using some acidic solutions like vinegar or citric acid.
Thank u bb
52:12, does Katya murmur "oh my god Brian"?
Something about the delivery made me 🥺 bc she just seemed concerned and like. I need a friend like that.
Good catch!
@@ekaterina_shum I just happen to be ridiculously observant at all times.
I didn't even notice that
Arizona doesn’t MESS around with AC bestie. We take our HVAC verrryyy seriously. It might be 122F outside but most indoor public space will keep it at a crisp 60F. It’s actually dangerous to not have AC in Arizona.
an intimate episode thank god
me: oh, the quality is HIGH!!
trixie: in witness protection
What a lovely, gentle conversation. You're both always so deeply enjoyable and interesting - this one in particular had a deliciously soft, tender and thoughtful vibe; just what my soul needed.
About the acrylics/heels and feeling disonnance. As a transmasc person I definitely feel this. As a kid I experienced little to no dysphoria around clothes or having long hair, it wasn’t until my teens when my body started looking more ”female” that feminine clothes really started to bother me. There’s definitely a difference between the dysphoria I experience around gender expression and my dysphoria around sex characteristics, I think feminine clothes are pretty but I feel wrong and vulnerable and exposed when I wear them, and I don’t think that’s entirely gonna go away when I transition, might even exacerbate it, but I also don’t think I would feel this way if the current gender roles didn’t exist and not everyone feels that way because they’ve worked past those expectations, the internal ones at least.
Trixie's skin is looking amazing here! (A great, chill episode of the pod, and I was completely distracted by how good Trixie's skin was looking.)
omg SAME! Couldn't stop thinking about it!
The part when they are trying to figure out what they did for enjoyment - two old ladies - god I love them 😂💕
Oh GOD I wanted Katya to turn on her ancient crone filter for a little "where are we?" senile forgetfulness magic. If their WOW editors got their hands on this footage, WOO we would see some metamucil advertising. I don't think they even noticed it, which, hello! Shades of Eddy and Patsy as 90-year-olds.
I was driving, and heard the commercial where Katya talks about "Boom boom chicken" and the dance beat drops (at about 16:45). I laughed for about 4 miles. Love these women so much.
I’m a speech language pathologist who loves you both and would be happy to consult with you guys!
PS. I watched a documentary called “Do I sound Gay?” So, I totally knew what you were talking about Trixie. PM me if you want to chat. (Is private messaging a thing on CZcams?)
T&K, Get Miss Shelly on the pod!!!
@@naurcho I love it!!!!
haha as funny as that would be I would also be concern about the amount of drag references and obscured 1950 to early 2000 gay cinema you'll have to scrap from those two
I'm just here for the jurassic park references
HI BALD. Thank god it's that time of the fortnight again.
It’s pronounced fork knight.
I love the vibe of at home podcasts
Learned a new word today. “Portent.” Thanks Katya
Her vocabulary is truly a gold mine
I use the term Joyful Movement instead of Exercise and it helps. Then I do what I enjoy... walking, yoga, dancing.

you keep on goin round speaking truth, Susan!! 🙌
When my natural nails are long I can perform almost all tasks normally, the one time I had acrylics done I could not perform basic functions. It felt completely unnatural. I hypothesized it has to have something to do with them not actually being a part of your physical body, like they’re disconnected. These are the deep thoughts you two bring out in me…thanks for ALL the content.
You get used to them, just like anything
You ladies keep saying you have talked about everything about your lives but I had never heard about Katya’s dad being a martial arts master (?), and I feel like I’ve been obsessively watching Trixie and Katya content for at least 4 years. Anyway please never end this podcast
i believe katya has briefly mentioned it on some episodes of Unhhhh

Woooo! Thank you for taking the time to do the pod this week! ❤️🙌🙏🏼🤘
them describing feeling dysphoric with nails on when in boy mode is so nice to hear genuinely, reminds me that a lot of aspects of the trans experience aren’t as alien as people make them seem sometimes. like sucks that they have to feel dysphoria at all but like, it’s not just us yay!
also i don’t have acrylics, hate the sensory experience of feeling something on my nails all the time, but i do have pretty long organic (lol) nails most of the time and you do get used to it, it feels super weird when i break one and have to trim them all short.
Omg this just made me realize I've felt this before. I'm a ciswoman & I'm a dancer. We had this one dance costume that was men's black t-shirt and baggy army pants with the shirt tucked in. And the hair was slicked back pony. I felt so manly, I couldn't even stand to look at myself in the mirror lol 😬
@@bnicolette14 that’s it! not fun huh? it’s so good for cis people to understand these concepts/experiences
When I first started getting acrylics I had such a hard time, but now it's an adjustment when I don't have them on anymore. You do really feel like they are an extension of your own hand and nail. But I don't get them very long because of how difficult regular tasks become.
I've had acrylics for years and don't get me wrong, I love them, can't be without them but it's funny as shit trying to pick up coin change off a floor or putting a card in a slot somewhere 😂😂😂. But yes, they are an extension of my hands at this point.
Side note: sooo happy you guys are back! Having a rough day and truly needed the laugh. 💕
I have never had acrylics, nor have ever wanted to try but, honestly, admire those that can function daily with them. I'm Irish, and have visited America a few times, couldn't get over the whole economy devoted to nail care!
You guys give me my life anytime I can see you two on my screen. Thanks for providing much needed comedic relief! 💕🥰
i cannot tell you how much gratitude i have when y’all post.
also, im a full fledged woman. i would NEVER get lash extensions, and i’ve done acrylics and they’re cute, but i just get agitated after a while. the glue ones last for a few days and you have to reglue a couple of times, but they get the job done and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg
does anyone else like to just see them in the same room, so different to them on a call
Omg TRIX PLSSS don’t be afraid to let someone else do your makeup!! Your mug is iconic and that will never ever change but I’ve always wanted to see what it would look like if someone else slayed your face because you really are so gorgeous!!! I know you always joke about it but I know you could pull off that glamour diva look it just has to be done by someone who knows drag makeup!! Maybe like Laila McQueen or someone else who does queens makeup!!
when she was talking bout this part I thought "man no one COULD do a better job bc I've seen biches try for years and no one is even close" but you mention Laila and I eat my words, she's absolutely crush it fr
“But now, I’m either by myself…or with others.” - Tracy Montell 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I personally love press on nails, I get the fantasy of the nails, but I can take them off when they eventually start to bother me which is a few days. 😂
I love the really subtle movie quotes... "Clever Girl!" :-)
This was a great podcast. Not that the other shows aren't good, but I really liked the thoughtful conversation on dissonance and physical fitness.
So much fun! That hour just flew by. Thanks Balds!
I've been wearing acrylics since I was 13. I can't live without them. They're a part of my life. I will admit though, since the panorama, press ons have been super clutch and I love them too, because I can change the style/length way more often.
katya u should watch everything everywhere all at once in theatre, it is sooo good!
What is it about them and their friendship that gives me so much joy!
Such a great show they had. I caught it in LA and was well worth the trip. So fun and so funny.
I will call my mom by her name to get her attention in a crowd. She does not respond to ''mom'' in those situations for whatever reason. Especially at family gatherings where every woman in the room is a mom.
I find the nail conversation so interesting!! I’m a very cis looking gay dude and I love to do my nails. I don’t think I could do acrylics or press ons, but I love to grow my nails out a little and paint them. I love a bright basic color or a basic geometric look. It does feel odd in sexy situations sometimes, but not as weird as it feels for these two I guess lol
I’m completely obsessed with Cmon Loretta. I can’t stop singing it! SUCH a good song.
Houston show was so fun! Loved it! Can’t wait for Dallas
katya looks so beautiful and happy
I’m seeing the show in September! I am very excited
I live in Arizona and I'm so glad they gave you good AC, it literally keeps me from death half the year
I love that the office us is on in the back of the frame above Katy as head

Katya, PLEASE make Trixie watch good TV.
"I dont know if she's well but she's gone" LOL
I loved hearing them talk about hating the feeling of nails whilst holding my phone w my long acrylics
ily pls never change
Love you all so much 💜
I'd love to pay for a version of this without ads. I'm glad you get ad revenue too! I just find it breaks up the conversation in an unpleasant way since they're so long, and I'd love to pay in a different way for your content! Love y'all!
Agreed! They put this in the description: If you want to support the show, and get all the episodes ad-free go to @t

I'm surpris9ngly okay with it cause they normally say let's take a break.

I wear fairly long press on nails that I secure with a gel top coat, and they are a good in between just press on nails, and acrylics. I work with my hands a lot and they stay on for two weeks usually. But I can do them myself in an hour and I can pry them off with a metal nail file. ✨

I used to maintain active length acrylics because I work in customer service and people see my hands. Now I MIGHT get glue on if going to a function. I have gardening, grandma-ing, and video gaming to do and can't be bothered. You two are the glamor in my life right now.
