Amana Side by Side Refrigerator: How to Use Forced Defrost, Find Error Codes and Troubleshoot

- If you own an Amana Side by Side refrigerator, you may want to know how to use the Forced Defrost Mode, or learn how to find Amana refrigerator error codes. Doing this is pretty easy, but does require a secret code. In this video, I show you how to work with this easy mode, and also show you what Error Codes are on the unit to help you troubleshoot your Amana-brand refrigerator.

I was looking at one today what type of problems your having
Not the most exciting video, but our studio is almost done. Had a flood at another building I operate at so I didn't get much done this week. Once in the studio, we'll be able to dedicate time to doing appliance series - take a Whirlpool washer and just tear everything out of it for all the major problems, put it back together, then make videos showing all the things that could cause a specific set of problems. Hopefully we can start filming those next week, but I have 2 more fridge videos to release before that happens.

What if the buttons never flash?
I just bought this exact Amana fridge. It's been 48 hours and I have it at the coolest but my water isn't getting cold.
Also, my fridge keeps moving. Where are the 2 feet to level the fridge. The delivery guy removed the front grate but can't locate the 2 feet. Please 🙏 help on both issues! Thx!

I have this model and trying to connect the water line. The water just continues to run into the water reservoir. Is it the water inlet/ solenoid?

Great video. Thank you. How long should it be left in heater mode to defrost the freezer as it iced up and the fridge is not cooling.
Until all the ice is gone
you can speed up the defrost with a hair dryer or heat gun
This great but how do i get the cover off the light on the freezer side to replace the bulb?

Does this work on Amana as well? What number is the ice maker? It only goes up to 38.
We just bought a new Amana side by side refrigerator exact same kind presented here a few days ago and the temperature in both freezer and refrigerator compartments aren't cooling down, I put it to the coldest temperature for both compartments now just gotta wait for 24 hours, and see what happens... Any ideas/solution's?
It can take up to 48hrs for it to do the initial cool down properly. Make sure the fridge can "Breathe" In the back with fresh air to go over the black condenser coils hiding behind the grate.
I replaced the light bulb in the refrigerator side and it doesn’t turn on. Must be the light socket that needs to be replaced?

Hi I have a whirlpool cabrio washing machine. It started a squealing noise and almost sounds like a jet. Do you have any idea if this is fixable?
Likely the bearing to the washer which isn't good. I'd check underneath to see if anything is rubbing and if it isn't, the bearing will cost a lot to replace
Amana problem in my unit ( bought about 1.5 years ago ) is that, "2 garden buckets" wiggle and not touching one wall at all. Seams they don't belong to this fridge. Any sugestions ? pleaseee and thank You
Mine is a display model off the floor the computer was never turned on they didn't set it up before I got it so it's just running and not working 2 days now I humming and it sounds like the compressor kicked in there is no problem showing on it is not flashing saying that something's wrong with it it's just sitting there why does it not just have a flip switch on and off and to talk to somebody about it I called 10 people before they gave me the right people it's ridiculous put on and off switch on it! Got to try again to talk to somebody 24 hours to see if it's going to get cold when you unplug the other ice box that was working and plugged this one in it's got power people quit acting like I'm stupid I might be done but I'm not stupid
