lol, I like the realness with you and your mom. My mom is very similar. Just last evening I ask my mom to season the chicken till I come back. when I returned from the store mom had already started making the chicken and rice even though I told her I was going to the supermarket for potatoes to make the dinner. lol it comes natural
Mothers are priceless... cherish her as she does you. Also, we make a version of this around the holiday. We call it "Corn Pudding" :)

I think turned cornmeal in Jamaica is the equivalent to coucou in Trinidad (as well as Grenada and Barbados). A friend of mine from Saint Kitts calls the same dish fungi. There seem to be variations in terms of how it's made though as I've seen versions with or without coconut milk.

Hi my dear I'm from Trinidad , I was just browsing through my phone and Saw this so I decided to watch your video , I watched some of your mom's be videos lovely video I don't mean to prey , your mom looks like she's day dreaming lol I love your hair beautiful were you born in Trinidad you have that pure Trinidad accent I love Cor pie but I used coconut milk from the carnation milk ,I love the taste I get from the coconut milk I hope to see more videos .

I know this recipe but it does not have the corn meal so I will try this one
Angela, DON'T make mom pull the car over!!! Raymond makes this as a side dish for grilled Mahi Mahi and it's delicious!!! One suggestion is to not use store brand corn, buy the most expensive canned Sweet Corn because it's the sweetest. Add a bit of Mango Salsa to your plate, close your eyes and you'll be on the island!! Thanks ladies!!!
