    Great tip on making sure the fill hole plug can come off without a problem before draining!!

      Oh yes. I heard of a few people that drain it then find out the fill hole is buggered. Leaves ya in a bit of a pickle.

      That's why I always check the fill plug first! Eeeek!

    You can also buy a hand pump ( looks like the one from fast orange hand soap ) from Canadian tire and put it in the bottle of fluid. And pump it in. I use it on my 11 850 for all my fluid changing.

    I know you answered in an earlier comment but what type of Polaris fluid? They have several.

    • @JoshuaGammon

      AGLfor the rear. Demand drive for the front 👍

    How often do you need to do this? Just bought a 450 with 900 miles and wondering if it’s necessary or if I can wait a bit.

    • @JoshuaGammon
      @JoshuaGammon  Před 2 lety +1

      It's all in the owners manual. I do it once a year. 👍

    Hey, have you had any issues with the power steering on the 570? Mines out...

    • @JoshuaGammon
      @JoshuaGammon  Před 2 lety +1

      This model doesn't have power steering. I'm not a fan of all the fancy stuff for something I'm going to go into the wood alone with. Just simple and needs to work.

      I've read quite a bit of complaints on Polaris forums about people having issues with EPS. The two common responses were because it's electronic power steering, make sure you have a solid battery connection. The other comments were that the relay was faulty because of poor manufacturer protection assembly, and to replace it. About 25.00 at an auto parts store. I hope this information helps.

    Wash your machine before fluid maintenance to keep the dirt and grease out of your way.

  • @Clarkstonlife

    Dumb question but is the transmission fluid the same as the rear differential? They are not separate correct?

    • @JoshuaGammon
      @JoshuaGammon  Před 2 lety +2

      There are two different fluids. Make sure you check your owners manual for your year make model

      @@JoshuaGammon Ok in my 2018 Sportsman 450 the front takes about 9oz of demand drive fluid and the rear is both the transmission/rear differential which takes a quart of AGL fluid. Finished yesterday not too bad. I had to remove the winch to access the front.
