Great tip on making sure the fill hole plug can come off without a problem before draining!!
Oh yes. I heard of a few people that drain it then find out the fill hole is buggered. Leaves ya in a bit of a pickle.
Just wanted to say thanks new to polaris and this helped alot.
Glad it helped. 👍
Good job. Better than the official Polaris video!!!
Thanks Dave. Hope you have a good one. 👍
Great maintenance how to, man! It always makes me nervous taking that drain plug out... LOL
That's why I always check the fill plug first! Eeeek!
You can also buy a hand pump ( looks like the one from fast orange hand soap ) from Canadian tire and put it in the bottle of fluid. And pump it in. I use it on my 11 850 for all my fluid changing.
Thanks for the tip Scotian. I'll have to check that out!
Good tips. Thanks i use a syringe when i do all my fluid changes especially diffs they got them at Canadian tire its very helpful and has measurements on it
Thanks for sharing
Excellent video
Thank you very much!
I have this special funnel with a tube on the end of it and it makes this job very easy
thanks so the tip!
Good how to for video 👍
Thanks. I though it might help a few people.
I know you answered in an earlier comment but what type of Polaris fluid? They have several.
AGLfor the rear. Demand drive for the front 👍
How often do you need to do this? Just bought a 450 with 900 miles and wondering if it’s necessary or if I can wait a bit.
It's all in the owners manual. I do it once a year. 👍
Hey, have you had any issues with the power steering on the 570? Mines out...
This model doesn't have power steering. I'm not a fan of all the fancy stuff for something I'm going to go into the wood alone with. Just simple and needs to work.
I've read quite a bit of complaints on Polaris forums about people having issues with EPS. The two common responses were because it's electronic power steering, make sure you have a solid battery connection. The other comments were that the relay was faulty because of poor manufacturer protection assembly, and to replace it. About 25.00 at an auto parts store. I hope this information helps.
Have ya done the front too?
Yes. Links in the video description
Thankyou
You’re welcome 😊
What type of fluid are you using and how much
Just the Polaris brand. For this bike I use the full 1 liter
Is it the angle fluid?
Please send me a link
What is the rear diff fluid
Use the Polaris AGL fluid
Wash your machine before fluid maintenance to keep the dirt and grease out of your way.
Thanks for the tip. That's a good one.
Dumb question but is the transmission fluid the same as the rear differential? They are not separate correct?
There are two different fluids. Make sure you check your owners manual for your year make model
@@JoshuaGammon Ok in my 2018 Sportsman 450 the front takes about 9oz of demand drive fluid and the rear is both the transmission/rear differential which takes a quart of AGL fluid. Finished yesterday not too bad. I had to remove the winch to access the front.
Junk
Jealous

One very important question is do you know JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOR?
