I wanna buy the 2016 for browse , youtube , watching movies and study for college for next two or three years.. Do you think 2016 will be enough while his price is so good for me or I have to get greater thing ?
Thanks for the video...The older Macbook's display appears to show much 'truer' whites and for me as a photographer that is crucial !! Maybe the newer Macbook's display needs recalibration ?
Can you put an M1 or M2 Apple silicon chip into a Macbook Pro 2016, since the modern versions of this Mac, are seemingly identical? You'd just have to swap the chipset/logic board, right?
@Kai Cenat_LIVE I would recommend selling the 2016 on the used market - that’s where you’d get the most money for it. Any exchange place will only give you pennies on the dollar for that machine.
Are you able to explain this? I've got a mid 2015 MBP which I love but is showing its age dreadfully. I am tempted to wipe it and start it again from scratch in the hope that might make it a bit happier, but was aware that OSX updates are done.
Thanks for update. I’ve been waiting to purchase a M1 used. I have both a 2016 13” and 16” MBP both i7 with 256gb I’m a professional DJ and we don’t really update the iOS due to the program and problems we might encounter so that isn’t a big deal for me. I haven’t had any issues at all with my keyboard on 16” and my 13” I’ve used only a handful of times since it’s just my back up. I don’t use them for anything else besides DJing. On top of that I have 2 iPad pros / 12.9”2018 and a 11” 2021 M1. Both with Magic Keyboards I use these and my iphone more for everything else So watching this helps out a lot to just keep them both until I see a significant price drop for a M1 Pro
Hi bro. I DJ too. I recently sold my M1 2020 due to too many problems. Do you think a 2016/17 Macbook Pro would be fine for me? Ofcourse I'm only using Rekordbox/Serato and DJ city. It's literally just for DJ'ing. Let me know, thank you!
I would try to stay away from the 2016/17 due to the keyboard issues, but if you can find one below 150 cycles on the battery, I can say it still has life left in it.

they intentionally make the older devices slower, I am using xcode ios simulators when I had the older version it was working fine then they changed the rules and said that ios 16 is required to publish apps on appstore I update the software now every time I open the simulator my computer crash and restart, capitalism is shit

It could be that I was running a custom display profile - I think I had that to bump up the saturation.
its because of true tone. You can disable it in settings

😅
No, the M1 is a thicker chassis and the keyboard housing is different. I wish!
wow, even the mbp 14" with m2 PRO that I use cannot open power point that fast. Its more like the 2016 in terms of time
Huh, interesting!
Just ordered a refurbished M1 macbook pro 13". I am a web developer, hope it will work properly
Oh great! How has it gone?

How did it go? I’m also looking into one
Btw just use OCLP to patch Sonoma and it'll work on your 2016 and older models. Still using my 2017 13" Pro.
how is the 2017 13 inch pro? I just found one with 16 gb of ram and an i5 for like $300 and im so sick of my windows laptop

@@JamesSomersetActor just search for OpenCore Legacy Patcher Sonoma tutorials and you'll learn how to install Sonoma on your older model.
my 2016 is having issues so i got the 2020. Hopefully it'd be a better experience.. im a dj and software engineer

I just did the PowerPoint test on my 2016 & it took 2-3 seconds to come up. I think it may have been slower here because of RAM. Mine is a 16gb RAM
May have just been a bad day for it. Mine is an 8GB model too.

Fuck the 2016 intel Macs, I have the one w the touch bar and it’s the greatest piece of fucking shit I had the displeasure of using
lol, tell me more! I’m very vocal about the keyboards being trash on them. Is your keyboard a pile?
Apple has set Intel's performance to minimum.
I think they're just simply getting older, and Apple has made the OS more bloated with the headroom that Apple Silicon gives them?
