- A modern Mark Twain style adventure story, "The Peanut Butter Falcon" tells the story of Zak (Zack Gottsagen), a young man with Down syndrome, who runs away from a residential nursing home to follow his dream of attending the professional wrestling school of his idol, The Salt Water Redneck. A strange turn of events pairs him on the road with Tyler (Shia LaBeouf), a small-time outlaw on the run, who becomes Zak's unlikely coach and ally. Together they wind through deltas, elude capture, drink whiskey, find God, catch fish, and convince Eleanor (Dakota Johnson), a kind nursing home employee charged with Zak's return, to join them on their journey.

I missed that somehow. I noticed the way he looks at her while she was answering a question, detailing how much she loved to work with them. He was just staring at her with admiration and pure love. This isn't really something that you see in an interview.

Shia has a tremendous amount of star quality and charisma.
I appluad the interviewer for BUILD Series. He is excellent at giving the cast time to genuinely answer the questions instead of trying to move on to the next planned question like a lot of other interviewers tend to do. Furthermore, he does listen and helps move the discussion along in a way that is not disrespectful.

@@megamoviez Lol no he did not bash Russel Crowe. He bashed the character , which is a real person, that Russell Crowe portrayed. Roger Ailes was really not so great of a person. The Build interviewer had said harsh things which in turn Crowe declined to not come out and do the interview. The interviewer never said anything negative about Crowe himself.

My sister has Down Syndrome and we went to the theater specifically to watch this. I should have brought Kleenex with me. I cried several times listening to Zach talk. He sounds like my sister and did alot of the same things that my sister does in the movie. I am so happy that Hollywood put a film like this together for with an actor that has Down Syndrome.
It's actually a non-Hollywood film (non studio independent film) and I think that's what also makes it so special, it just so happened to attract the attention of some famous celebs, the script I mean

Dakota is a sweetheart and a real one, same goes for Shia! You can tell how humble both of them are and they also very similar in some ways.
It's funny, to me it seems like Dakota is a bit weird and spooky when compared to how beautiful of a person Zack is, he makes her come across as a bit glossy and insincere, which makes a lot of sense... he would make anybody else seem less than genuine

He grew up in front of a camera and I can’t imagine how many challenges that creates, but the way he has developed in spite of circumstance, I admire.

The moment when Zach reached out to Dakota. . .. that my friends is pure innocence and authenticity. . . .prior when Shia was speaking about Zach that he is intimidating. . . I felt it .
The love you could see in Dakota's eyes when Shia and Zack were talking was so unique and moving. You rarely see or hear interviews like this and at least from my perspective, it felt very real and genuine.
Shia has had a rough time in the media, it's good to see him back a very good actor. He also does the best english in accent i have heard from a yank.

I could watch a five hour version of this. I loved how genuine all this felt. Just made me all warm and fuzzy inside. As a mom of a child with special needs, I also loved how none of the questions or conversations were about his disability, nobody talked down to Zack or rephrased what he said. He was treated as the equal that he is and that is so so rare. Amazing interviewer and props to Dakota, Zack and Shia for showing us what genuine love can do for this world. ❤️

I like that she said we all need attention, not only individuals with disabilities. Zak has taught them as much as they may have taught him. Zak has been the rock of this production. He's dope! Get it Zak!! We love you!!😍🤗
Love how they give the time that zack need. Is important to respect the time of everybody. Shia talks fast looking at the ground, dakota is soft, takes her time and sometimes look at the floor like searching the words, and zack just think the words so he can say what he wants. Everyone of them is diferent, and have their time.

I read somewhere that this film was created especially for him.
Shia is true to himself and is comfortable wearing plain clothes and not dressing up. He cares more about deeper things than perception of a person from the outside. I'm glad they all taught and learned something from one another during this project

I don’t see it as Shia making a “comeback” or coming out of some type of bad light from the past. He’s just so normal and seeks deeper meaning within his career. Making mistakes here and there like a normal person being humbled as a human. It just so happens that he’s famous and we “see” him come and go.
This movie is amazing! Shia is a phenomenal actor, Dakota is so real and believable in movies that I forget she’s acting, and Zack taught me a lot about humanity and life. I would love to see these three in more movies together.

Incredibly pleased with this film. I’ve worked with individuals with disabilities for 13 years and I can’t express how happy I am to see these films come to light. What’s more, I am very impressed with the actors presentation here. They use respectful and educated expression towards Zach and it’s all very well thought out. Straight from the heart.
This is for sure one of the best interviews I've ever seen in my life... The one that informed me about this movie (which I will definitely watch) and made me feel warm. And I also had a good laugh and it made me think about the nature of these human beings, not Hollywood actors and about their special relationship

If someone hasn’t seen this then it’s a must. It’s a really beautiful and heartwarming film that reminds me of my brother and reminds me how lucky I am to have him in my life. It made me so sad to hear people speak about a disabled person in a derogatory way in the film. Though it’s realistic because there are awful people that say awful things. However this film focuses on the brilliance of the human spirit and people having dreams despite their adversity. I know I have been a bit vague but I don’t want to spoil the film for anyone.
Shia is really kinda killing it this year. I have a lot of respect for that talent.

I just scoured the Internet watching interviews with Zach for this movie and I have to say this was by far the best one. Zach seemed the most comfortable and the interviewer was just fantastic. I applaud all of you not just for the movie, but also for this interview.
