◆What is the HUNTER×HUNTER anime?
Serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) since 1998, HUNTER×HUNTER is an epic adventure story by Yoshihiro Togashi. Gon, the protagonist, who takes the hunter’s exam to become a hunter like his father and be able to meet his father, continues to challenge the “unknown” world with his friends, Killua, Leorio, Kurapika and others he has met in an ongoing emotional journey.
The TV animation HUNTER×HUNTER, based on the manga of the same name, was broadcast from October 2011 to September 2014 on Nippon Television and other networks, and is still supported by many fans as a work that portrays the new “Hunter World” while maintaining the passionate story from the original manga.
The comic series has sold more than 84 million copies (including digital editions)

I think it will animated, Togashi is working in the manga in a good publishing speed. Hopefully, we will get those chapters animated as OVA at least!

Faitons pain packer is too cool not to include him. But if it is the budget probably can't afford to do it justice
There's also a certain deadbeat dad to a main character as well that they could add as a playable character.

@@r.e.d.docena5957 And it's arguable that it's even the same kick. In the manga it was a two-footed stomp, so I'm not even convinced it's the same attack...I think everyone just wants to believe it when it's not necessarily true.
Because out of all the skills used in the anime it is the most iconic one and the one used for marketing....sadly, most anime games do not cover manga material, so all moveset used for him during the Hisoka fight was just omited.
And he uses it outside lol
He only uses three stolen nen abilities in york new and they can only take from the animes when it comes to adapting moves for the game. That and indoor fish was the only one used for proper fighting

Indoor fish are cool, but he used them only once in the whole show. I would have liked it if he actually stole the opponent’s abilities like Seth in SF.
There’s also this mobile game called VitaFighters where they have a legally distinct Chrollo who basically has randomized special moves.

And also has 3 dfferent stances:
1. Random Specials.
2. Is basically just Slayer from GG for some reason.
3. He fights like Machi I think.

In the anime it is clearly explained that the Indoor fish is only activated in closed spaces. They had to make a Nen room, so it made sense, like the Trick Room attack from Pokémon.
The game is starting to look more polished every trailer but the sound design is still lacking.

Ngl outside of gameplay it just seems so soul less man. I really wish it got the budget of a Dragon Ball FighterZ. Just hope the mechanics and fundamentals are fun enough to carry it as a fighting game

It's common to focus on the anime references in these games, and very understandable in this case of HxH since the manga is in a problematic state. The only reasonable exceptions are like Jojo All Star Battle (ps3), that was made exactly in the time the Jojo anime was still on season 1 since it was a late adaptation of a manga that already had 100+ volumes at that point. It made more sense to cover the whole manga content than stick to the season 1 content.
Soo.... Did he never use any other abilities besides the fish? Doesn't he have like dozens of abilities in that book?
They weren’t shown at all, at least this version of Chrollo. Yes he has a lot of abilities as a character in the manga but in a fighting game with almost no source material of his other abilities to pull from besides later in the manga this is probably the best they could do.

Indoor fish can only be used inside sealed spaces and moreover - do damage only when spaces becomes unsealed. They just fck up lore from a start....
i assume they went to the safe way working on already animated moves seen on the anime. There is no reason to not include sun and moon.

I was probably hoping for too much here but I really wanted them to throw in some abilities that arent from the show/manga that would be unique to the game. Feel like it could work since we dont know how many abilities he has for sure or what they do.

here's some thing they can do.
sun and moon - a short range explosion attack
mantle - deflects attacks like in the anime
shalnark remote controller - stuns the opponent
the swaping hand thing (forgot what it was called) - swap characters with opponent (the moveset swaps as well)

Why do people like feitan so much? Genuine question bc he does have cool abilities and a sword but he is honestly a pretty generic character
@@frankdeanda5250 Combination of the little things that make him so likable. He's edgy, is strong, cares for the spiders, is short, badass umbrella weapon sword which also doubles as a gun, talks in a funny way, and has an interesting ability in pain packer.
Some nice animations for an anime game! Looks like some care was put into this one
He looks cool. I really hope he has more than just the Fish, though. Since he is such a versatile character in the series and has the potencial to have a really cool moveset.

like maybe having a stance where he opens his book and then another move, using the hand print on the book as a parry
If it lands he gets one of the opponents moves
This is 100% doable since the roster is so small and the game isn't very demanding in terms of animation

It is lame that everyones super special unique ability seems to be boiled down to "hitbox with mildly unique animation". But whatever, I still wanna button mash in this game.
For chrollo they could have made it so he can steal moves by either trading with the opponent, or counter hitting them. Im not saying it needs to be 1:1, there are ways to approximate the powers in the show without JUST using marvel functions you know?

To be honest with you, I thought we would see more "flashy" abilities or at least a few more knowing that Kuroro was seen to have some stolen techniques and/or that we would see abilities that he showed that he had from the fight between him and Hisoka in the saga more recent of this manga, but I suppose that if this version of Kuroro appears it will be a DLC perhaps.

Gameplay and combos look amazing but I haven’t seen one super yet that I love…. They all lack impact which is ironic cause of the title. Don’t feel powerful at all and don’t have visual flare. Which is crazy since the devs are the same who made marvel vs capcom…. Plus I hope they’re adding DHC supers
