I'd prefer EtH to stay at least one more season under the new structure. Chopping and changing obviously does more harm than good so in order for consistency to be in the team, we've got to give the manager time. We saw what he did with 80% fit squad in the 2022/23 season. This season should be a write-off and should be seen as one of the downs in project. If we end up changing the EtH, we're gonna be back at this moment in the next 18 months regretting. Back EtH
That doesn't make any sense. Why waste another window on Erik Ten Hag? so he can sign more flops like Antony? If you want Ten Hag to stay, he should stick around for at least 3 years so he can build his team properly. If he could get sacked in the middle of next season, then why waste another summer transfer window on him?
I'm telling you now, INEOS are gonna do one of two things with Erik Ten Hag:
a) Give him a long term contract
b) Fire him immediately after the FA Cup final
That's why I said "under the new structure" in which his say in transfers would be reduced. By "backing him" I mean the recruitment should do their jobs properly and get him good players to fit with the long term vision of the club. If then he's unable to perform well with the team, then you let him go.
Keeping ETH is basically writing off another season and we will be right in a FFP mess.
Too much of a risk.
There has to be a change of direction.
The damage would be monumental if another season like this is repeated.
Imagine the mess if we sack him in December and nobody's available.

ETH had a condition of coming to United sway over signings. It’s in his contract.
No way INEOS can start their rebuild with a manager in his last year.
“New structure” won’t close the gaps in midfield or sort out our press.
EtH has to rethink some of his tactics especially the one leaving the midfield with acres of space for the opponents no doubt, but we've been chopping and changing too much and it has become more of a problem for the club. Concerning the tactics, that's why we've got a technical director to hold him accountable. It may sound a bit old fashioned but it's the truth.

@@jayjoesadoptedsonbenjamin it might not be just down to physios and coaches. The manager decides the training sessions and how many they do and he also decides the tactics. If he hasn't built their fitness up to be able to execute his crazy high-engergy game plan then that would lead to these fatigue injuries.
For a manager that came with a reputation for details and preparation, our team looks absolutely lost and unfit for every game. The worst part is he did nothing to change anything all season. Game after game he just kept doing the same thing. I lost my faith in him by October.

Whether he stays or not. I would always have a soft spot for him. Took a squad which not only finished 6th but lost Pogba, Mata, Matic, Lingard, Cavani and Greenwood. Then for whatever reason he lost Ronaldo and was given Weghorst. Massively overachieved, finished 3rd and 2 cup finals.
That was the Glazer’s punishment for lost merch sales from getting rid of Ronaldo.
With all due respect that same squad finished 2nd just the year before. He was given an open checkbook with far more power & backing than any manager in recent times. If he get's sacked, it's fully on him. He ran that same squad into the ground btw to finish 3rd & get a redbull cup, he refused to rotate so we can't moan about injuries a year later along with his silly training & tactics...or lack of.

According to a lawyer very familiar with their workings, the Glazers actually have about 400M available for transfers this summer... you ever hear that stated? Bet not. (for the exact info got to "X" @SwedishRumble). EtH was forced to find players because the people charged with doing so totally failed to perform their scouting and assessment duties; it's no accident that his signings were players he was familiar with.
The only thing I would've done if I was ten Hag is create a totally fictitious player complete with teams played for & stats - totally fake bio. Put the fake player's name in with a half dozen real players & see if Murtough hands the list to Jay Glazer to make the final decision on.
