- I can honestly say that this Fire Roasted Salsa is amazing and it is, quite possibly, the best salsa I've ever tried. It starts with fresh Hot House Tomatoes, Yellow Onions, Green Bell, Anaheim and Jalapeno Peppers, cilantro, lime and a few other key ingredients. Although you can find recipes, similar to this one, all over the web, I seriously considered keeping this one all to my self. But I get too excited when I discover the secrets to authentic recipes. It makes me want to share it with everyone. So that's what I'm going to do today. Read More and get the exact ingredients from my website: poormansgourmetkitchen.com/fir...

Seems like I've got a recipe for just about any occasion, these days. I've got about 300 video recipes posted here on CZcams now and that includes Asian, Italian, Mexican, Cajun, Indian and many other worldly foods. Not to mention all of the classic American or Americanized foods you can find in the USA. My recipe genres break down into some wonderful playlists; Appetizers, Soups and Salads, Pasta and Sauce recipes, Seafood or Chicken recipes. Also Holiday, Barbecue and Party recipes and a whole lot more. So be sure to take a good look at my channel and watch more videos because there's a whole lot more coming your way! - Jak na to + styl
What a great recipe! I followed the except for two parts: 1) I did not have anaheim peppers so I used poblano and 2) I had no grill so I set my oven to broil and put the veggies on a cast iron griddle for 5 minutes each side. This is probably the best salsa I have ever made, it really tasted like I had bought it from a restaurant! I shared it with family and everyone else loved it as well. Thank you for sharing :)
I love that you improvised and it turned out great for you. Now that's how you cook!

I loved everything about this video. The production, the recipe and the final salsa. I'm lucky enough to have just about every vegetable ingredient right out out of the garden as the season comes to an end. Now, I know just what to do with all of it. Thanks!
Oh good. I've been working my tail off lately, trying to provide even better videos and blog posts, so I hope you like it.
Finally!!! Thank you!!!!! A great authentic salsa MUST have a pinch or two of crushed or powdered CUMIN!! That is the secret ingredient other CZcams cooks leave out, even for the wonderful Mexican recipes. No need for paprika or bell peppers, your roasted chiles will have enough flavor. Other than that everything else is perfect 👌
Yup! 🍻
Yummy, thnx for the yummy recipes, healthy recipes I would be have it with wheat handbread thnx a lot
drop anaheim's and green peppers for: tomatillos, poblanos, serrano & habanero - also a fun add is roasted fresh in season peaches - to manage the heat! Sub fresh pineapple if peach not avail. I also like to add a bit of olive oil - enjoy!
Sorry I don’t know a lot about peppers but would that make it spicier?
Ooooh, now that looks good! I love your voice, very deep but relaxing and finally, I really appreciate you just getting to the point. There’s a lot of CZcams folks that just talk and talk and talk! Fantastic video, I’m excited to see what else you do!x

You really should try it.
It's very simple and delicious.
Just subscribed. Love your recipe! I made it with a couple of changes: took some of the seeds out so not too hot and squeezed out some of the tomato juice so it’s thicker. Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Sounds great!
Simple and best for sure. 👍🏽
Knocked it out of the park once again
I sure hope so... I've been busting my butt, all day, trying to get this up for you this weekend! ;-)

Great recipe turned out delicious... I also grilled one pineapple ring and then added a 1/2 teaspoon a liquid smoke to the blender.
Great idea!
Mmmm. And if you want, you can throw the blended salsa in a pan to get rid of excess moisture if you want to concentrate the flavors further. So good!
Sure 🍻
Its the best receipe of salsa i ever seen..I used to make it capsicum..

Fantastic!

That looks incredible
You've got to try this.
I promise it will be worth it!
Love it
There! Youuuu got it
Like a CHAMP!
New subscriber. I have been making my own salsa for years but liked the idea of fire roasted and was surprised that you left the skins on the veggies
🤷🏻♀️. Okay well that makes my life easier. I will give it a go!
The skins give it the "fire roasted" flavor. You have to leave the skins. ;-)
Thanks for the tall tale, Partner!
🍻
Great recipe! Thank you
My pleasure 😊
Thank you very much!!
Nicely done.
Thx 🍻
Food is an amazing invention
Looks delicious and mouth watering 😋..

Great video. You explained the recipe very well and you were very enlightening. Thank you for posting this incredible recipe---
You are very welcome! 🍻
Super Thank you
Welcome 😊
I've been looking for a fire roasted salsa recipe that's chunky like this so thanks. I subbed and started watching your other vids. I'm wondering what's the shelf life for a batch of this? Can't imagine it'll last long anyway it's looks amazing!
It will be fine for about a week in the fridge, but grab as much as you need and put the rest right back in the fridge...in other words; keep as much as you can cooled off, and just grab what you need in another bowl 😉(PS: sometimes even i have problems understanding what i mean, but hopefully you got it...i kinda did) 😊
I’m new to your channel thank you 🙏🏾 for sharing
You're welcome! 😊
To upgrade you video quality is to upgrade your audience. Great video!

It is our Ancient Indian Food, Which our Grand mother used to make.
Very delicious, in India in Every 2nd House u can find this Tomato CHATNI.
Nice
Is that where we get the word Chutney from in England? Or did you get it from us? I know we have chutneys that use vinegar like a preserve.
@@ApexHerbivore Chutny is a hindi word originated from india😊
I add sugar to mine for a little sweet and hot. Hadn't thought of adding oregano. I'll have to try that.
Me either
It doesn't get healthier than this !
Looks delicious !
I didn't mean to get this up so late but I've been working on it all day. This salsa is amazing and I just had to share it!
great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Are you able to can this recipe? Thank you
I'm Tom Bodette...and we'll save you some salsa...lol...you sound just like him bud...good recipe though
… maybe he’ll leave the light on for us. 😂😂😂. He really does sound like him.
Dude lol .where is tom these days?
This might be a dumb question? But could I do this in the skillet or even in the oven?? I’m learning how to cook so don’t judge my question LOL
Yes 😉
Oh yes very much so... There are many techniques on how to make salsa find the one you like and go with it...😁
Wow very nice 👍 love the voice too very homey.
Thanks a lot
Nice, thanks
You're sure welcome 😁 🍻
Looks yummy
It's so good. Yummy only begins to describe it! ;-)
Hell yeah I’m making this tonight. Just picked up some Anaheim & poblano peppers yesterday. Hothouse tomatoes are good, but I tried it with Campari, my favorite snacking tomatoes. It gives it a subtle sweetness I miss with the others. You can put this stuff on an old boot and it’ll taste good 😂. Great recipe, Chef👩🍳 Of course I had to subscribe.
Hope you like it! 🍻
@@PMGK It was Ah-mazing! Perfect with the refried beans and chorizo taquitoes I made last night. 😋
Thank you for your recipe. I will try it. I like Mexican food but, I have always used store-bought salsa. This looks good enough to spend the time to make it myself.
Hope you enjoy
Can we use this salsa to make chimichangas or can u plz show to make the perfect salsa for chimichangas plz plz
I might try to taste of the bullion too
Beautiful Salsa
You know your salsa! ;-)
Gorgeous Chef. LIKED! Chef, what's the difference between Mexican Oregano, and regular? I've never worked with Mexican Oregano before. Thanks.
This is a good read that explains it well: www.thekitchn.com/whats-the-difference-mediterra-93923
Is it ok to make this in a blender if you don't have a food processor? Going to try this tomorrow so excited!
Of course! 😊 🍻
Your good you got me
Good
This video is perfect ☺️
Are you going to try this? 😀
Poor Man's Gourmet Kitchen for sure !! Next time we have a cookout and the heat on the pit my husband will loveeeee this 🤩
Delicious
Yep, you know it!
Thank you
Great video. How long can you store this in the frig? Thanks
5 to 7 days is standard. 🍻
@@PMGK Thanks very much.
Wow!!! That looks so good. I’m trying this recipe.
I think you're going to love it!
do you think i could can this? I have a lot of tomatoes to use up from the garden
Absolutely!
Did you peel the Anaheim peppers before adding to the food processor
If you saw me do it, I did, If you didn't, I didn't.
game time thank you.... say can you freeze the let overs if i make to much. i have a few friends that might have to work and can't come over thanks again
Technically it can be frozen but it never turns out the same, once it's thawed.
Your recipe is supurb.
Glad you like it! 🍻
Im curious why he left the garlic raw instead of roasting it too. I add the lime zest to it really brightens the flavor.
Roasted garlic becomes very sweet, and some ppl don´t like that taste in a salsa...me included. But don´t know if that´s the reason he did what he did 😊
Lime zest is perfect...(I use lime juice also).
My eyes are already burning..
Good 👍👍👍👍
Thanks
Nice video... Mister, I was born in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas and Ive witnessed just about every variation on salsas from all over Mexico and South America... so just let me pass on a secret that none of them considered before... you take a 500,000 btu burner attached to those little 20 lb propane tanks and scatter your veggies all over your grill.. with a little control, you will have perfect fire roasted veggies in less than 30 seconds...
you may have to cook them longer afterwardsif you enjoy your veggies cooked... I always just stopped there and left them raw...
Chow ;)
Sweet, thanks for the tip!
@@PMGK No worries. Most people use those burners to burn grass and such. I used mine to burn picnic table wood (pine) into this gorgeous tigers eye looking thingy and then burned my veggies on the weekend to destress. Ill give you a link here in a minute
czcams.com/video/nx6j0AsrY5w/video.html
I'm mexican. but your recipe is very authentic, thanks
My pleasure 😊
Mexican salsa adds MSG? lol I don't think so!
@@jzizzles7799 A lot of Mexican restaurants use MSG... they just don't tell you
How long I can preserve this..looks good.
.
Love your videos mate. Do you own a restaurant?
Oh, Hell no.I don't want a real job! 😂
Thanks
Do you grill the garlic too, if it's a full bulb?
I don't but it doesn't mean you can't!
Lol exactly chef you're sooo😎😂
That's how I do mine except I just Fresno and Jalapeno. I also roast my garlic for a few mine. I might try add paprika next time. I think when I first started roasting I was losing too much tomato juice. I find myself not using as much Onion as everyone else. I rarely use half of one with 6 Romas and 2 Jalapenos, I'll experiment with using more
I think you'll like it! 😋🍻
