- I recently took a trip out to California for a Magic Lecture I did. Met up with my buddy Chris Oberle and decided to head down to "Mo Better Haircuts" to get the beard trimmed. While we were there, we broke out the camera, here's what happened.

I love when magicians ask "Did you feel it" and the spectators say "yes"
FunnyGames And we all know they didn't. lol! Power of suggestion, hooray!
nah, I don't care if they actually feel it or not.
I just love when they say "yes"
Well the Cork bit, lets just say.. he DID feel it, Chris Just has amazing finger tips.
@@Jhayology Nope, he did feel it,
First.
+Chris Ramsay man you cheat it
do the keepers feel like they said (amazing)
You still owe us the track in cyclone hahaha
pleaѕe how
i guess ...i can explain 1 trick ..
weird thing is that i can do all of these tricks but at the same time i cant do them.
i will never have that good of a vibe as you do, or presentation.
you are a living book
+Scorpy one word: practice. Practice your social skills. With magic this is really easy. I thought I could never perform magic on the street or stage, but after only few months of practice i feel really comfortable with talking to people, joking, doin magic and stuff.
Green Art Can you please help me? Whenever I want to perform for a public audience like random people on the street I just back away..Can't seem to have the courage or I don't know what to say..how do you approach people ?
you can start like "Hey Im (some kind of) magician/illusionist, could you help me out with something?" Add big smile to it and this is it. Then you perform, train your magic, after this you talk to him/her/them still with keeping big natural smile. People are usually very nice and it is very, very unlikely to get a negative reaction. It is however likely for people to ignore you or something like "sorry i have no time", but this is normal. For me it is like 90% of people I asked ignored me, and only 10% actually agreed to watch me perform.
Remember to keep your smile big, to be mannered, well dressed, and taking care of yourself and talk to random people a lot. If you have big town near or you live in one it is perfect, because even if you screw up they won't remember you and nobody will ever hear about it (if you're worried about what people think, I advise you to be not). For me this strategy got very well, after only three months I can go on the street and perform for random people without stress and keeping myself confident. Beginnings are quite hard, but you will eventually get used to talking to random people
I hope it helped somehow, sorry for my poor English but it is my third language. Cheers :)
Green Art Can't fucking thank you enough for this. I will start tomorrow..I have a ton of free time so I'll give the best of it to street magic. To be honest Street Magic is one of my favorite types of performances just because it looks so natural and random!
Thanks again soo much and I can't wait to get started :) Gotta work on that Ambitious Card routine a bit more if I really want it to look good in the next days/weeks/months :) Cheers and good luck with your magic further
Green Art I too can speak multiple languages: English, Nottingham, British working class and sarcasm.
I love coming back to these, reminds me of the laughs you can have with a few months of practice and (now this is the hard part) social skills
I honestly appreciate how great he is knowing exactly what he's doing and how. You are one of the greatest. IMO
Chris, you never cease to deliver. This video reaffirms my belief that you are the best all around magicin. you originals are great, your attitude toward both magic and the spectators is admirable, and your performance is stellar. You inspire me.
Dude, I genuinely love watching you work.
You make me want to go out and film street magic again.
Please do.
+Orbitbrown You should!

Gerat vid, man, I love your work, Chris, keep that coming, very inspirational!
Man respect you are such a talent, you make be remember the power of street magic thanks a lot, keep it up!!
Chris, I love your performance vids. It's nice to learn cool sleights and flourishes, but knowing a move only carries you so far. Your street magic videos really show how to assemble them into a real routine, which I think is really indispensable knowledge for the magic community. I hope you keep making more :)
Amazing! This touched me. Well, not literally.

1 word: AWESOME!
Im 14 and I love magic with all my heart, I have been doing it for a while and have even performed for a few large productions. Im just scared to really give it my all and dedicate my life to it, because I feel like magic is declining. There are more and more hecklers and the internet ruins it all.
Huge fan of the mental stuff would love some recommendations on where I can get better at those tricks

Hey Chris, great video! Your production quality is amazing, do you use luts or anything for color grading, or just Color Finale? Also, what ND Filter do you use for the 24mm f/1.4 when you're recording outside? Thanks! Btw, it was awesome meeting you at Tannen's in April for the meetup!
