Although it's good, tgc don't make the best games, sky is pretty unpolished (but whatever, it's a free mobile game and jesus christ I've been playing for 900+ hours O.o). Other games unlike sky has oobs too, they even have something similar to chibi fall
And ofc single player rpg games shouldn't really be allowed for comparison since they're a story, having bugs and being all glitchy would make you feel out of it

Anyway chibi fall should be allowed, but so so so many oob areas you can reach just by flying in the right direction. I visited my first oob as a moth with no guidance, no glitches, and barely any wedges lol. So no matter what happens with Chibi fall, oob should be allowed.

@@Tmpest113 Yeah it can be stressful but look at Orbit!🌌 It's so peaceful, after the stress, players are greeted with nice music and joyful flight before getting reborn!💞 (the music still makes me tear up🥺💖)
I understand how Golden Wasteland and Eden can scare new players but in times when you need help and encouragement you can always ask for it!😊

It's a little sad to see people hacking to get unreleased items .. I mean I get it .. it's fun I guess ... But the fact that this beautiful game is free is crazy and the least we could do to thank tgc is to follow and respect what they say and most importantly be patient .. let's keep being a friendly and a non toxic community ✨✨

I love that tgc is actively trying to avoid patching favorite oobs (I think they got rid of the rainbow bridge but brought it back later?). I do think they accidentally patched the Wasteland Elder room, tho... Unless someone found another way to get there I guess. Too bad because that one was my favorite 😟

they made an effort to the oobs tho.. like the famous valley oob doesn't look like that before. it doesn't look that purplish and have less stars.. if I'm not mistaken it
I think TGC has taken pity on us.. Like, they patched the settings home glitch, (The emote menu works fine) and I think my friend said that the TGC said they ACCIDENTLLY patched it 😂 And, of course, they haven't made any effort to stop OOBs
TGC really sees that these glitches are fun for the players and they aren't stopping them! ^ ^
Yes, there was an official post about that on the discord. It was an accident. The reason it doesn't work in Settings Menu now is because using the home button there doesn't force you still anymore, you can move with the menu up. The other one, emote menu, forces your Sky Kid and Camera to be still, same with instruments like the piano and the keyboard thing. When the game makes it so you can't move, Krill can't take your wl. I saw shop menu works too, something like that. They know about all our tricks, piggyback rocket, chibi fall, etc. They know, they don't mind.
They even opened up a bit of the wall under the door in vault on the second floor so chibi's can walk right in now after the dreams update. There never used to be a hole there. You had to use an emote to get up on the ledge and hop in, but they made it easier for us like the kind people they are.

To use in game mechanics in order to access oobs is not considered hacking. Therefore using the same logic, using in game mechanics to perform abilities such as chibi fall, bicycle, and rocket is likely also not considered hacking. Hacking to TGC is like exploiting the game code in order to get items for free or early, I believe. Though, there’s a little contradiction here that nags at me. At times, players use these abilities in order to access in game areas that are not yet ready to be shown or released. Accessing content early in the same regard. I’ve thought of something maybe TGC can do to counter this, by making a cuboid shape barrier instead of just a slight wall people can chibi fall underneath. Solving the early access issue many players can achieve.
And about chibi fall? Is that also safe to you because sometimes u come across those 2-4 player doors and most of the people glitch in and out w chibi fall you see “that’s why I asked

I'd assume it's safe, as all you're doing is falling into an OOB in order to get somewhere to continue enjoying the game, or perhaps glitching just to complete a CR or just to have more fun! I tend to chibi fall through the ground in home and become a land shark :)
If you look under the 4 player door on the 2nd floor of vault there is now an opening for Chibi's to walk right through. That wasn't there before the new update, it used to be just a wall and you had to get up on the little ledge next to you with an emote to fly up and into the room. Basically, TGC purposely removed that part of the wall for chibi mask wearers to use that exploit easier. They have made public statements on the discord that they support our tricks, they even stated when the home trick got patched from the settings menu that it was just an accident.
Further proof that they support our 'glitches' and tricks is that they did fix the home trick in Eden, it doesn't work in Eden, if you get hit there it can take your wls or it will completely drain your light. That proves they have a fix for the home trick that would make it less effective, yet they didn't patch it in Wasteland, why? Because they decided not to, there had to be a reason for that. Point is, TGC doesn't care as long as we aren't getting places we shouldn't be allowed to go or getting items that aren't out yet.

Yeah, I never minded much of hackers personally. My friend for example usually is my wardrobe consultant since I am not sure if a certain hat would look good on me u_u But that's on his sperate account in case he gets banned. IDK, I find it funny (Dressing up as the Spirit guide etc.)
Oh I wish I could dress up as the spirit guide but my program doesn't allow me to use other stuff as it looks like a moth on me but I've always wanted to dress up as the guide.

You know when people got early access to the cosmetic prices of the traveling spirits- that was hacking, right?
I would not call it hacking since TS are random and prices are stored on server side. They are not part of the game code.
More like guessing based on past ts cosmetics like capes usually costing 60-70 candles or masks 40-50 candles etc
Some people will predict TS prices based on spirits from the past. Sometimes you can see the predictions aren’t the exact prices when they are released.
It’ll be tricky managing the autoban system. Imagine playing the game as normal and all of a sudden you’re banned because of an automated system that determines worthy of a ban rather than checking if the claim is real. That creates more time requirement to solve more players’ issues with the game alongside dealing with hackers, so they’ll have to deal with hackers AND people who were accused of being one by the system but didn’t do anything.

OOBs are an important part of keeping a gaming community alive during quiet periods. I refer to Journey as an example. Without the amazing oobs, the game would have suffered greatly over the 7 years of Sony exclusivity. TGC was smart to respect players that way, but I do wonder why they patch out some oobs in Sky. I'm sure they have good reason (maybe hacker issues?) but it's sad for us newish players who can't visit areas that veterans try to show us.

OObs are one way to help others as well, I made some friends who I carried through vault 1st/2nd floor 4 person doors using oobs and , i learned it from someone who helped me as well, and we became friends.
I wonder how they’ll handle someone simply joining a friend who happens to be in a hacked area. It’s not like we know where our friends are before joining.
Does in game mechanics mean we can use glitches? Or does that refer to areas that are missing invisible walls/collision?

You shouldn’t be able to enter the office without the cape because even if you’re able to get through the barrier, the portal won’t open unless you have the cape, so if you’re able to get into the office without the cape it’s either a hack or a glitch.

Oh, so forgot you can do that because I’m too impatient :). Hacking involves breaking in to the game’s code and using it to your advantage, but taking advantage of in game glitches is not the same. I doubt TGC is fond of people entering the office with glitches like they are oobs, but it’s not hacking.
However, I feel if they wanted people to stop using glitches to get into the office they would be a bit more focused on repairing the glitch, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

I would say that any kind of mod is considered hacking, since it’s a multiplayer game.

TGC examines every report, so they will conclude and probably say ur fine

I don't think so unless you use hellboy or reincarnation to stop it. Krill dodging and the other things are safe.
They should befriend the hackers. These are the people who find the exploits. They could potentially be quite helpful to TGC with regards to patching that sort of thing out.

Hacking means altering game code tho. Which is the only thing sky addressed. It was easier before to glitch since they've been adding new barriers, but still manageable .

Tell him to stop hacking since tgc's gonna apply anti cheat anytime now. If he stop then that's great, if not then tgc will do the job.

similar situation happened to me, but the stranger was able to carry me and everyone else. i asked them how did they do that and they said that they used one of STAR pins, then i kinda recognized what they were talking about. but i still dont remember if there was such a pin which you can use to offer a hand...so mayb better check on this as well

Nope
A hack is when you modify something like a game file or computer system, while an OOB is more of an exploit used to get the player out of an area they aren't supposed to be in. This video may be outdated, but given these facts, i doubt OOB is related to Hacking unless you do something like give yourself infinite flight

What can you even do in the game when you hack? I can't imagine anything you'd be able to do other than maybe get extra candles or something I have no idea 🤷🏻♀️ Even if I knew how to hack I don't think I'd do it because I'm a scaredy cat
well using hellboy you can have like a closet everywhere and you can use all past placeable but only hackers can get future ones. you can also warp to any out of bound. as well as have infinite fireworks. you cannot have any cape or anything it only shows up for you. You cannot do anything to harm other players other than honk till you blind them so please do not do that. You cannot use the props you don't own in shared spaces. You can teleport to anywhere that is a portal. You can disable wind walls for yourself as well as disable portals to go past them. You can get 1000 eden candles in a span of five minutes. So all that harmless stuff.

I personally don’t have all the time in the world for sky I would hack too cause everything is pricey with real money and sky doesn’t give refunds they just say contact apple or google and you still don’t get a refund they should just say no refunds
