I never understood why everyone said Chad Gable looked like he was shot in the head. A blunt trauma impact wound would look like that and they had a hammer.

I thought it was hilarious the wyatt six communicates with vhs tapes. Michael Cole explaining what a vhs is was funny then he makes a Yoko Ono reference at the end.
Cole's explanation of what a VHS was had me hearing a child STILL asking what a VHS was 😂
I heard a woman explain what a penny was today to a young boy in a store I am in Canada we do not use them any more just round up or down to the nearest Nickle.

I think the psychology of the monster characters, isn't that they are heels that the fans hate but the baby face overcomes an unstoppable force when they win which gets the fans behind them. Different approach to get the same ends.
I was at WM 31 and got to see Wyatt vs Undertaker. That intro and match made me a fan
It was a pretty good match. Undertaker looked a lot healthier than his match a year before with Brock (and the full head of hair and full goatie was a much better look). He and Bray put on a 15 minute, 3 star match and people liked Taker getting the win.
Off topic, I don't know what James was watching but no one was rooting for the Terminator back in '84 with the original, and '91 Arnold was protecting Sarah/John Connor, no one was rooting for T-1000. Where do you get this info?
Ahh mate, I was there in 84' when Sarah said "You're terminated, f#cker" and everyone booed in the cinema, threw popcorn at the screen and walked out in disgust before the credits rolled. Biggest letdown in film history.

In the wrestling industry, it always has to pay off in the ring in the end. Sting's gimmick/story always ended with a match against whoever was talking shit about him.
Take all the time in the world building this! Maybe have Uncle Howdy interview each member... Ask them similar questions... Do you feel forgotten??

I wouldn't have much hope for this storyline or group under Vince McMahon's WWE. But we're in the Triple H era. And people are way into this storyline.

I agree with Dutch. It is hard to predict where they are going with this. But love what they are doing so far.
Dutch has the viewpoint of an old school you have to have baby face and heal, you have to have an angle to create a match, you gotta get heat, etc... What Bray and now Bo are doing is creating entertainment in another way. During Brays time it was going after both baby face and heal people in a psychological way to break down their character and all their flaws. A unique way to approach a match and also a way to get others involved that would normally just be sitting in the back.
I wonder if they could do an angle with Uncle Howdy and LA Knight (Bray's last opponent) and/or Randy Orton, one of Bray's more memorable feuds.
Have a feud with thebloodline
Bray had the type of character where he'd come out and attack someone, then give a story on why he chose that person and thats his rival for the next few weeks. After it was over hed repeat the same thing. Thats how he did Daniel Bryan, Undertaker, Randy Orton and Cena. And he stayed relevant. Hell we didn't care who he chose as long as he was on the show.

To be honest everything past the first movie was differing levels of bad.
A really strong character never has to win titles to get over. They will sell merchandise strongly. Mission accomplished all around.
I said pretty much the same as Dutch. After decimating security, officials (and Chad)😂 with only FIVE people, one being a very small woman, how do you go into run of the mill in ring matches after that? And be beaten in ring in a month or two 😂

If I was maybe 8 or 9 whatever age I was when Papa Shango was doing his stuff, Undertaker, Warrior etc I'm sure I'd lap it up. I think it will end up short lived as you say though. All Bray's ideas seemed to end that way.
@MarcoNegrisEye When its about supernatural acts, people always bring up Undertaker, Kane, Mankind, Papa Shango. The difference is Undertaker segments and storylines weren't drag, the direction was on point and any could follow it. But Wyatt 6 stuff is confusing for viewers itz direction very bizzare takes a lot of time their story always long time to reach a point.
Undertaker could take losses and he could win and elevate talents, but Wyatt stuff doesn't elevate, it drags.
I hope I am proven wrong but Wyatt under HHH failed before his demise so I am skeptical.

I’m not sure I entirely agree that because the story is being told slowly, that means they don’t know where they’re going with it.
You don’t put in this much effort to not have a goal in mind. They’ll have beats they want to hit, with an eventual end point. And that end point may end up being in a different place from where you envisioned, but that’s part of the creative process.
It still might fall flat on its ass, I hope not, but for now it’s compelling.

Bray being the fiend and his kids tv version was genius. Easily beat as one incarnation and impervious in another. Think theyll do the same with Bo.

It was Uncle Howdy, not The Fiend, if anything, I think they are keeping Bray involved, but as the unseen force that Sister Abigale was before, and that is fitting and why this will work.
They are not exploiting his legacy at all. Do you think Windham would've wanted his passing to be the end of all things Bray Wyatt, Uncle Howdy, and beyond? Or do you think he would've rather his brother be featured prominently on TV every week, making more money (possibly winning a championship in the future), alongside some of his best friends, as they carry the baton and tell the story they were starting to tell before he got sick?
This is how the Undertaker finally gets his revenge on Mankind.

Dude I just started watching and wondered if this old coot thought Bo was going to come out as the Fiend.
I agree with Dutch that Bo looks a lot like Brey with the beard, but recently I've gone back to rewatch the beginnings of NXT and, when he was Husky Harris, you can see the family resemblance to Bo even without the beard! You should check it out, it's kind of uncanny!

The IWC said Chad was shot. WWE never once made this claim. He could have easily just been hit in the head and knocked unconscious. In fact, WWE hasn't even declared any of the "victims" as being dead.
Bo Dallas has got IT. I hope he makes a megastar out of himself. All the tools are there. I pray this whole schtick isn't ruined, it could so easily be ruined. I'm sure both he and the team producing him will crack it.

They even asked Bo whether he was exploiting Bray’s legacy. I tend to agree with Dutch, but where does he get that the creative team doesn’t know where to take it? Seems like projection. Just say “hey, I don’t know where to take it, and I’m not interested in it” (or “but I’m looking forward to seeing where they take it.”)
Bray was the person Undertaker wanted to loss the streak to.
I'm sure this new regime in WWE has direction for them, but even if they don't, it'll still be interesting to see play out each week. It'll likely be a trainwreck, but they might prove everyone wrong.
I see The Wyatt 6 as a Love Letter 💌 to Bray from Bo and all of the WWE. In my opinion.

The Terminator analogy is a terrible one, in the first film people did not want to see the Terminator kill Sarah Conor he was a heel he murdered a load of innocent people, in Terminator 2 he was a face and people didn't want to see him die at the end
Bray Wyatt at his best was before he debuted and they were teasing every week on Raw these little promos where Bray spoke like a cult leader and wasn't magical
WWE doesnt care about length of this ...just the merch sales..if it doesnt work they will just change direction...And you have to make them faces.." Sting"ish if you will
uncle howdy was interviewing Taylor... another level. promo level = REAL. the way he talks... his facial expressions, thats pure pain deep down mentally. tearing up while i type this as i lost my other half a few months before bray's passing. Cant put it to words but watching wyatt sicks somehow heals me mentally. Its something no product has done without butchering it.

I sincerely believe this will be different from the Fiend storyline…I love Bray, but he had a lot of creative control and one of his issues is he spun his wheels without going anywhere. My gut feeling is the creative team has a very clear direction and a plan for the Wyatt Sicks. They won’t be supernatural, but very more mental, that will make a huge difference! And the story will go somewhere.
About in ring. I still remember a clip , captioned Brock Lesnar kills Bo Dallas and Brock german supexed him like 20 times 😂

Two things hurt Bray Wyatt John Cena and The undertaker at wrestlemania yeah the feed Bray Wyatt beat John Cena but the first match hurt him
The only problem I have with Wyatt's sick is that it is not WRESTLING, good sports entertainment, yes but not wrestling, and I'm old school. I've missed the PRO wrestling, but they are talented performers💯👍

I would love to join the Bray Storyline, somehow, as a "forgotten brother", i think i got the juice to make it a great program. I got the beard and the look. I can talk (too much, sometimes. lol.) I would do Bray proud. Only problem is i got 0 Wrestling Exp. I'd wanna only be a Manager, anyways. But, you still need years of exp., to get on the biggest stage.
I may be in the minority, but I always thought that Bo was just as...if not more talented than Bray, just booked like a goof under Vinnie Mac

Dutch clearly isnt aware of all of the stroy telling that has been done already through those QR Codes, so i dont fault him for not being up to speed. From what ive seen so far, ive been amazed by what has been going on, and how they have been able to salvage what was a dead angle, despite the main character not being there. And the way they used his real death as part of the story is awesome to me, because you cant ignore it.

Look I know if it's not spponfed, then most people won't get it, obviously, and thats cool. But it's 2024, and you don't have to do all the QR code and anagram work to find out about the story, because there are multiple CZcams channels that have already done the work. But most people don't even wanna look for the spoon.

On rare occasions they should use someone with the same size and build to come down from the rafters as the Fiend to help the Wyatt sicks win a match or help them if they're being beat down. As though he's come back from the dead to help his family. Then immediately disappear for a few months until he's needed again.

I'm trying to stay open minded.. but Raw is long enough as it is, this debut/return/coming-out party of this group has been buildup for so long and prolonged for so long for obvious reasons, and now we finally get them on TV and instead of giving us action we get the goth chick delivering VHS tapes of content that was clearly shot recently of an interview with uncle bad-touch.. by the time any of these guys do anything in-ring or in an angle I think it'll fall short. We've waited a long time already and at this point it's becoming grueling to watch Raw and these segments even more so.

Haven't listened to Dutch recently. Ive seen a lot of the Austin early days recollection stuff. This comes off as an old time booker not getting it. No shade but I didn't enjoy the breakdown.

I think that was just a mistake by the makeup department. They were supposed to put blood on Chad Gable and make it look like a cut but they messed up and made it look like he had been shot in the head.

It's easy.... remember Bray. They ride it. When their losing that's the reminder. They become animals. They need to be held safe for a long time. Keep them winning but not often. Have them hit both sides. The good guy to break them. The bad to humble them.

I suspect that the gimmick will peter out. With people shouting Taylor Rotunda's real name shows that there's no suspension of disbelief. It's gonna be a clusterflop

Uncle Howdy looks like a killer from the horror series "Slasher". Maybe that is where it belongs, not pro-wrestling. It will end up becoming goofy.

Pro-wrestling, particularly in the west, has always been silly at it's core and carny fun. What sells tickets isn't the "why are these fighting in a ring" so much as it's "WHO is fighting in a ring."
