Welcome to another new video of our channel. Thank you so much to all our subscribers and all those that chose our videos to learn.
This is a quick tutorial on how to parallel park. This type of parking is known to be somewhat challenging and complex for many but here i will provide you guys with some examples and tips on how to master this skill.
To be able to align your car with the other cars near and execute a good a safe parallel parking is a challenge for those beginning to drive. When you are going to practice this type of parking, I highly recommend you guys to use these orange cones and head out to an isolated area with no traffic or cars to safely practice as much as you want until you feel more confident and secure.

I took my road test on Wednesday morning and I failed 😞 because I couldn’t get out of the parallel parking spot…I take my test again in 2 weeks
past it 100% i was nervous as hell i was sweating so much i had to open the damn window to breath

okay, i just want to thank you for this video. today was my road test and i passed it 💯. the way i was taught didnt really benefit me while i was parking today and so i remembered this video and the technique and quickly fixed myself. when parking I noticed that I was too far into the middle (meaning that i almost touched the curb) and fixed my self by turning my wheel all the way to the right and pulled the car slightly forward until i felt like i had enough space (by aligning the cones how explained in 3:11.) then i turned my wheel all the way to the left and reversed again until i was aligned with the back cones obviously having my body turned to look behind into the back window. i centered the car between the front and back cones and did great.
right after i had to do the k turn and then reverse in a straight line and then i was told to drive off and i passed.
i took my test in wayne nj and remember to always do hand over hand. it was really simple.

Do you have any videos showing how to parallel park a pickup truck into a parking spot near a sedan car being used in your videos in front? Where are spots that we can look and align our truck to in correlation to the other vehicle so that we know that we're doing it correctly and have enough room? Hope this makes sense.
Tomorrow is my driving test and I believe in my ability to drive even though I only have a few lessons

Why are there different instructions when parking between cones vs. parking between cars? with the cones you give 3 steps, all the way right, straight, then all the way left. With the cars it's all the way right then all the way left leaving out the straighten the wheel part. Do we not need to reverse with the wheel straight before turning all the way left? thank you so much for your help.

Do you have to do hand over hand and also do you only look back or all mirrors? I know when you back up straight that’s the hand over the seat and look all the way back
Make sure to check the mirrors and look back as well. Hand over hand is fine.

So this is how I practice, I align the two cars as the mirror of the two cars are aligned…
Then put gear to reverse,check left blind spot, right indicator and turn the wheel to right 360degree.. that is just 1 turn and reverse til my mirror is aligned to the bumper of the other car… then keeping reverse mode turn wheel 360 degree… that is 1 turn to left and check blind spot, right indicator and reverse till the mirror of my car is in straight alignment with the front car,… then turn the wheel all the way to the left… and reverse safely till the car is aligned straight… DOES this work.
I’m retaking my test again tomorrow after a year since I was really disappointed with myself and unmotivated but watching this video helped me calm down. I hope I pass!!!

@@nataliemejia70 yes I did, if you’re doing closed course don’t worry about driving in the streets or highway just make sure you’re going the speed limit and make sure to always look both ways (over exaggerate your head so they can see that you’re looking) and after you park SMOG signal, check mirrors, over the shoulder and go. I hope you pass it!!

Thank you for this great video, I think there is a mistake in the 2:40 minute. The car reversed straight, and unlike the minute 6:40, the distance is too narrow to allow a straight move , and this will makes the beginners confused. There is only one complete turn to the left and one complete turn to the right.🌹

Thanks for catching the difference. However, I think there’re two different techniques. For example, there’s a driving school uses a method called “RSL”, which stands for Right, Straight, Left for parallel parking. So, it depends on the positioning I guess.
I thought we supposed to keep both hands on the wheel at all times or that’s only with driving not parking ?

I take my test in 5 hours I’m nervous asf. Crazy part is I’ve done this and passed in illinois in 2012 now in 2023 I’m in Michigan and the test seemed totally different I don’t even remember L back parking or doing any of that in 2012 smh
I take my test again tomorrow this will be my third time parallel because I failed it twice :/ I got this down this helped slot but it’s my nerves that cause me to mess up

Hello, welcome!
First, turn the wheel all the way to the right and start backing up, then straighten the wheel and keep backing up, last, turn the wheel all the way to the left. It should be explained in the video. Best of luck.

You're not supposed to counter-steer. You must reverse until the car is parallel with the one in front, then in some countries you're allowed to straighten the wheels and drive forward, in South Africa you are to stop and not straighten the wheels, but disengage the clutch, apply the brakes, put the car in neutral and pull up the handbrake, with the engine running , then to move out, signal, 360 check, select gear, balance the vehicle, 360 check again, additional blind spot check and move off
