A few weeks ago, the weekend before our country, Trinidad & Tobago, was put on lock down by the government, my family and I made a trip to Mayaro Beach to enjoy the sun, sand & sea.
This was not a serious fishing trip by any means, but of course, I had to walk with a rod and reel and of course, my net!
It turned out to be quite a fun trip and we did end up catching quite a few fish, nothing too big, but still it was nice just feeling them on the line.
During the trip, I also encountered a few crabs and saw some interesting stuff on the beach.

If you are fishing and you get a small fish then let it go,,,,, but if you are going to Specifically catch and release them, I cannot see the fun in that,,,,, too much stress for the fish.

Fun Fact the lockdown began the day after my birthday i believe ...My birthday was march 13th and i happened on the 14th i think or 15th

Simple advice....Fish any and every where you can! You never know what you can catch!
Wow, now that its lockdown, the fish have time to spawn cuz nobody catching it out and now we catching fish in mayaro, all I does catch in mayaro is catfish. It's nice to see there are other species too. Also, I didnt know there was tarpon in those little rivers, I always walk past them thinking there's nothing but frogs. Fish spawning for the lockdown. Mayaro has its good days bro! Sometimes you catch all types of fish once you meet the right conditions...Other times, is nothing or only catfish! But from the video, you can see there is a wide variety there! And it's always good to explore any body of water you find! Thanks as always bro! Fish on!
