I bought this specifically to power my 7 cu ft chest freezer. Works great, charges fast.
How long will it run your freezer before needing recharge?

@@themoldysoldieryou have to be sure to factor in compressor and defrost, so there's a lot of factors. if the lid's closed, once it hits the temps it needs, it practically doesn't take any energy at all until the compressor kicks on, there's a spike, then nothing again for hours. So every make/model is different. as long as if it's packed with frozen water bottles, or mostly air. I know that's kind of a non-answer, but it depends how optimally you run your freezer.
@@themoldysoldier Seems like I figured at least 15 hrs, maybe up to 20 hours (?) The freezer draws 60 watts, but the compressor is only on about a third of the time. I wasn't really worried about it because it charges so quickly. (I have a gas generator in case the power stays off, I can recharge the Pecron). Too many clouds here, so no panels.

I was just talking about getting one of these and how expensive they are, like in the $700 range.... This one is only $330., finally something I can afford...We just want one to run a freezer off and on to keep it up and maybe charge some stuff if needed.... Thank you, thank you Dave.

I have the E2000LFP . I totally love it. Pecron has awesome customer service. any questions I have are answered almost immediately.
My power was out for a week I had the 3000 pecron and 2 (300) run the generator for four hours a day been off the power packs for 20 hours that included fridge, television freezer, and all the lights
don't forget to throw your battery/solar questions in the chat, these are the best vids to ask those on.
We have a power station like this and a couple three scrounged up solar panels we rigged a support for. Our power went out for almost 4 days and with this unit we used it to. Run the fridge and freezer part time on and off to keep the temps correct plus a small fan. It as not hot so it was doable. Showed us that without power you are in deep doo

That's great! I paid almost 500 for a 510 wh Rockpals a little over a year ago, and even though it works well it doesn't have a LiFePo battery and no pass-thru. I'll definitely look into this. Thanks, Dave!

I agree i have 3 other stations smaller and larger and this is my go to. For a small station the solar input is awesome.

The 100W USB port, quiet fan, efficient AC and DC output and wireless charger are also worth a mention. Great model
The wierd plug comes with good adapters. The bigger issue is that if you are standardized on 12v you must series up 2 or more panels to obtain the 400 watt rate.

Pecron has this model and a few others on sale right now in competition w/ some of the big prime day sales. I already have their larger unit that I bought around black Friday last year. I just ordered this solar kit to have a more portable one for camping etc.
Nice for lights, a fan... and leave the bigger units for the food...

I don't really know anything about this manufacturer, but they, and I mean quite a few different companies, are putting out some really high-quality power stations.
Good ol' _Free Market Capitalism_ at work. Yes, I know practically everything is made in China, but the market is elsewhere for most of the products, and we, the consumer, benefit from the competition.
I bought an EcoFlow unit a few months ago and love it. So much so that I'm buying a higher capacity device and extra battery that'll be more for home use versus portability.
If the unthinkable happens, loss of electrical power is something that will negatively affect nearly everyone, and almost immediately.
Prepare. If you wait until you actually need a device, it's probably too late.

some cords do have chips in them, I don't know if these do specifically, but I'd practice keeping all the cords together anyway. it's absolutely infuriating to have your offgrid stuff, and the cords are who-knows-where. so at the very least keep all your cords together, and then keep those safe.

i saw the Hz on lower right during start, how do you change AC output from 60Hz to 50Hz and vice versa? I know that Bluetti and Ecoflow have that function

Will it run a microwave?
microwaves are a beast. it could probably???? surge, and handle you microwaving something with a small microwave for a few minutes on low/medium, but that's about it. the major kitchen beasts are microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer, stove, oven, dishwasher. How I remember this, is the things you know if you turn on too many at once, you blow a 20 amp, that's why. Like a tiny microwave is like 900 watts, this could theoretically surge and handle it for a few minutes...

LP in this context would probably mean lithium phosphate, Dave's recommended battery type as it is more stable than lithium batteries alone. 🙏

how long do you want to run said fridge/freezer, and how optimally are they loaded? Under optimal loads, you could run a standard unit off a 2,000 watt for a day or two, maybe stretched a bit further. There's a lot of variables.

@@joyfulrnwithout digging through all the details and your needs, whenever I see the word 'expandable' I light up like a lightbulb because if you're on a budget, the best/safest way to 'expand' (future proof) is to go with a unit that's 'expandable'. It looks like it can control two more bricks off it. Which means if you can't afford to expand now, you can expand later, maybe when one of the bricks is on sale. Now I can't say that the max of 7600 watt hours is the end all be all, but it also means if one of your bricks goes bad, you still have the other one, so you aren't completely down. just return one, get a new one, or so on. redundancy. Also 7600 watt hours powers a fridge for quite a while if you're efficient.
pecron's reputation seems to be based around the strength of its inverters, but the fact that they're getting into lifepo batteries and expandable is very promising. they're really working hard to stay in the market, it appears. that's a good sign. plus they're brick-shaped, which means they aren't unnecessarily bulky. and they aren't so massive that they're immovable like 3000watt batteries are. ;/
Its only got a 30 day warranty? Thats alot of money to spend for a device with no warranty. Do they repair them if they die? I did read you are responsible to ship them back.

Mine was fine for a couple of months then it quit charging Pecrons Customer service is horrible Their warranty means they will send you parts and you tear it apart and fix it yourself or you can pay to ship it to California for them to look at. For most of us shipping a Pecron 600 to California is well over $100. I will never never buy another Pecron
They are all the same. Only difference is warranty and if the company will disappear within the next few days lol. You’re just eating up these FREE power boxes 😂
