Super quality @Status Quo thanks for sharing this excellent video shot at my first Quo show at the IJsselhal (that is now being demoloshed as we speak) in Zwolle on May 8 1984. Went there with my mom. She was in the back at the stand and me stage front right. Fond memories!
I adore this song, it's brilliant. If you can get over it not being a Quo song and just a fantastic pop song you'll enjoy it more. I love most of what Rossi does, from the heavy older stuff to the easy listening melodic tunes. I'm a fan of all types of Quo.
Great version, one of my fave solos by Francis (strange nobody mentions it). None of the guitar greats has been able to produce such melodic solos as Francis.
It is indeed a good solo, added to the single recording of it. Would love something to be done with the multi-tracks from the back to back album. For example I wouldn't mind hearing Bad Company. It's mentioned on the Back to Back side 2 label on the Irish Pressing of the LP.
@@walkingtheboogie I think Bad Company was released as a bonus track to B2B album in the bunch of remasters that came out some 15 years ago. I need to dig it up at my home. The single version of GDTT was added too, but by mistake the first pressing of the CD had the album version instead of it! I e. the album version was included twice. Then the other pressing came with the correct version, but I still haven't managed to buy it.
Thanks for sharing this. Love this song and I really like the video too. I'm not always a fan of 80s sounding synths in Quo songs but I like them in this; Dreamin' and Cream of the Crop. Also Here I Go from One Step at a Time album by Francis Rossi is good. That was also written by Guy Johnson, like this one and sounds similar but not the same if you know what I mean.
Its not that I don't like it as such ,but what's with the parpy keyboards ,i wonder who between band and producer thought it a good idea to introduce the parp in most if their later albums .
Without the keyboards it'd be an unbelievably generic durge. This track is fantastic and very much of its time. Listen to "Can't Be Done" from the same album. Also listen to "Let's Rock", Quo's worst song, for why you dont listen to the narrow-minded.
This is a song which probably did more to split the frantic 4 as it was supposedly done by Francis Rossi in his studio and know one else actually appeared on it, but because of the bubble gum pop synth line sounds really aged and just doesn’t fit and sounded ten years out of date when it was recorded
@@koekelmetperen There seem to be 3 types of people who watch Quo videos. Those who hate Quo because they always sound the same (why they come here at all is beyond me). Then there are those who hate Quo if they dare try anything different. And then there's the rest of us - the real Quofans!
Filmed Just before the concert at the IJssel hal in Zwolle Netherlands. I was 16 and it was the firts of many to come😊
Shame they didn't film the concert as well.

Those die hard 70s Quo fans will punch me but: though it's essentially a Rossi song, I've always really liked this.

Absolutely brilliant, I love this song and great job of the mastering 🎸 🎸
Great job Luke👍
Fantastic !! ♫

Great job mate 🤜🤛
Love You're beautiful music ! ❤❤❤👏👏👏
Single from the 16th Album Back to Back 1983.
Great Rock and Roll Song!
Fantastic video always liked it, but averange song for me.
As a die hard Quo fan, not the best!! Too poppy, and not at all the rock we're used to from Quo. Sounds like a heavy S Club 7!
The parpy keyboard years...

Can there be a version released without keyboards 🤣🤣🤣 please
Yeah the keyboards are awful aren't they!

God thats painful. No wonder Alan Lancaster hated this song.
I'd rather listen to this on repeat than have to listen to his dire "Big Man" once.

God, that's awful.
Appropriate name you have, bell end! Why are you even watching this then, if you think that!
Alan Lancaster hated this song.
This is awful. The keyboard sounds like Circus Music.
