Nice thing about this job, is you wont have to worry about fixing the f’n broken bolts over and over again. 🇨🇦👍🏼
It sounds amazing, Nice Job.
I'm doing my long tubes today thank you good sr.
I have noticed that the exhaust exist and flows way better from many videos so I can’t Fn wait to get home to Alberta and install mine
Can see when someone steps on gas to show sound with stock then after change exhaust shoots out faster and relaxes faster also
Free flow
Are you having heat transfer issues? I am wondering if i should wrap my shortys before installing them.
I wanted to wrap mines too, I contacted bbk if it's alright and they said they do not recommend it. So I just left it. Have no issues.
Having easy access to that oil dipstick tube bolt means that’s a 2wd. 4*4 is a lot more of a pain in the ass.
From start to finish, how long did this job take you? Can it be done in one day? They look great!
It will take couple hours. But if your stud is broken it might take longer.
i should of had you take out the broke bolts i had on my manifold seems like you did better than the jackwagon at the dealship that just screwed mine up ,by dropping a scocket down the crossover pipe on the drivers side then they chopped up my pipe an put a big buggery weld on it an tried to call it good.
Jackwagon 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Magnet... Wth just use a magnet
Good job,
I'm doing this with bbq shorty headers on my 2015 Ram 4x4,and I can't get dip stick back in, how did you run the dip stick , any rebending ?
Yes I did needed to bend the dipstick.
@@AndreychukAndrey
Ok thanks..
mojo9696 how did it go on your 2015 4x4. I currently have my manifolds off on mine to fix the hemi tik. I’m thinking about ordering some. Who did you get yours from? Are they bbk-40140
@@brianhammond2560
I ordered mine at summit raceway. 1st time buyer got $25off , the work its self was tedious, since I had to work every day it took me 7 days to finish,
Removing the busted bolts in the head was hard. That took 1 day to do. I had other responsibilities to do as well.
Lots of head bumps on sharp edges, and a few knuckle busters and it was done,
My next upgrade will be the flo master muffler.
Good luck to your work ahead
mojo9696 thanks for the reply. I had one broken bolt. Took a while to get out. I too only have weekends. I’m thinking of just getting new gaskets and buttoning her back up this time.
Did you ever have a check engine light? Mine turn on when I install my intake in
No I have no check engine light. If you have a check engine light after you intalled the cold air intake, check the mass airflow sensor on the intake pipe.
Check that you don't have a vacuum leak because that's what happened with me
did you get a tune as well? also no check engine light right?
No tune, no check engine light.
Thanks for posting this video! What was the reason for installing these? Performance, Sound or getting rid of that hemi tick?
I did it just for the hemi tick. But the hemi tick came back. The bolt came loose on the headers so I retighten it and it went away.
You need to tighten the bolts with blue medium grade locktite. You will be fine.
@@JoseJimenez-xp2ym high heat though. Does blue come in high heat?
Did you have to lift the passenger side motor to get the header on ?
No.
Nicely done bud 👍 does it require to tune your truck when installing headers?
If you are doing long tube headers it is recommanded, but for shorty its not needed.
@@AndreychukAndreythat's great to know thanks bud I appreciate the reply 🤘 I'll be installing shortys on my ram
@@AndreychukAndrey can you link where you bought those headers? and the rest of your exhaust

Hello. I am wanting to install the same headers on my Ram. Some people on forums are saying those are not good headers and they have problems. I was reading the answers u gave on the comments here and you seem to have non-issue other than the loose bolt which u fixed with thread fastener. As of the end of 2020, are you still happy with the headers? They cost around 350 bucks and I don't want to spend so much for the other brands, around 800 bucks. Thanks for that video by the way.
Yes I am still happy with them. No issues.
@@AndreychukAndrey awesome. Thank you for taking the time for replying.
So des this fix the issue with the bolts breaking or is it just new bolts that will last a few more years?
I hope this are stronger bolts. But 1 bolt kept coming loose on passanger side. So I put threadlocker on it.
@@AndreychukAndrey I'm debating on just throwing in some arp hardware and keeping it stock or doing the bbk headers. Dont know the cost per longevity if you get what I mean
Where did you get the dipstick spacer?
Came with the headers.
What did you torque the header bolts to?
Sorry I don't remember. But some bolts you have to use a wrench.
I bought bbk headers for my 2014 ram 1500 and they lasted 5 monthes and the weld broke where the 4 pipes meet. Did u have any issues?
No I haven't had any issues, but I don't have the truck anymore.
Jacob I just bought a set for my 2014 and are being shipped now. Are yours welded all the way around the flange or just spot welded? And is your exhaust tight and solid on the hangers going towards the back? The reviews are good for these but I also see some reports of cracking.
I really don’t want to have problems after doing the install. Thanks.
I see a lot of people saying there's fitment issue on driverside in way of steering shift. Any advice
You do gotta disconnect your steering shaft and remove your dipstick. To me the hardest part was tightening the bolts, some of them are really hard to get too.
Have u had any problem with cracked welds since install with the bbk.
@@Break_um_John Not sure about the cracked welds but, my truck started to tick at cold start, so I checked and 1 bolt came loose on the headers, so I tightened it up and it's been good so far.
What do u have for carven exhaust?
Just the carven exhaust y pipe.
Do these mount to the stock exhaust pipes
Yes
Is that the Carven Progressive muffler? If so how much did it change the sound going from stock manifolds to bbk shorty’s?
I think I had the Competitor Series .
@@AndreychukAndrey did the shorty headers change the sound much compared to stock manifolds?
I got the muffler first so I'm not sure if the the shorty headers changed the sound. In my opinion I think my muffler changed the sound.
Can you tell my how to get the dipstick back in place after installing the driverside hearder?
You will have to slightly bend it and make sure to use spacer they provide for the dipstick.
@@AndreychukAndrey will it just pop back in me and my friend are having a hard time getting it back in.
@@antoniodavis9848 Idk mine just pop back in and then I tighten the 10mm bolt.
@@antoniodavis9848 I think it just slides in loose and just tighten the bolt.
Any updates ? Since it’s been a year any leaks or other problems
I have a bolt kept coming loose. Made the truck tick so I added threadlocker and tighten back up the bolt and its good now.
Have you done the cam and lifters yet?
No I sold the truck at 80,000mi.
Any heat related issues at all?
Nope
Any issues with factory heat shield missing?
Nope
@@AndreychukAndrey Thank you for the reply and making this video.
Do the pass state inspection?
Yes.
Nice video man truck sounds good. You still liking those headers? Did you have any problems with them being too close to other things and melting/damaging anything?
The only issue I have is that 1 bolt on passanger side keep coming loose and I hear a tiking sound. I am able to go underneath the truck and unscrew the bolt by hand. So I took some blue threadlocker and tighten the bolt back up. So far so good.
Did it pick up any speed
It's snappier.
Do u have link from where u got em
I bought mines from Autoanything.com
Great video thanks a bunch. But quick question did you use everything bbk sent you. ( gaskets, bolts) or did you order something different.
Used everything what came in the box.
Andrey Andreychuk how long have they been on your truck and have you had any issues with the gaskets or the bolts coming loose
@@wadeforster878 Since the video was made. I had 1 bolt came loose and truck started to tick. So I unscrewed it and put some blue threadlocker on it.
Andrey Andreychuk I appreciate your reply thank you for the intel
How did you get the passenger side on Im having trouble
The hardest part was the driver side for me.
Andrey Andreychuk how did you slide in the header on the passenger side did you have to life the engine
No it just slide in with no issues.
Did you notice a deeper or louder sound on your truck? After installing
Since I already have the carven exhaust, I couldn't tell.
Just put mine on last night. I had a flow master 44 muffler and now with the headers it did change the sound a bit. It's a tad bit louder but also sounds more like I have a magnaflow now instead of a flow master. I still enjoy it tho. More low end torque I noticed aswell
Great video. Do you notice sizable power gains after adding headers and aftermarket exhaust?
@@Shadow-Banned-Conservative The truck feels snappier when i press the gas pedal.
@@AndreychukAndrey Thanks man. Been looking for ways to add more power. This seems like an easy enough upgrade I can do on my own. Thanks again for the video.
Great job, sounds bad...
I'll be doing mine this wknd same headers
How much horsepower does it give you
Idk
Did you notice any gain in performance after installing the shorty headers
I wanna say yes. But I do have a cold air intake and carven exhaust.
You need a good intake and exhaust in order for the headers to make more power
Still happy with them?
Yes
dude i fell sleep in ur video haha
I shop could do it faster these broken studs are always a mess to make with id rather have a shop with all the tools to do this
seems logical one might not want to apply Loctite with the replacement bolts due to the possibly of making bolts difficult to remove next time?
Its blue loctite not the red one.
Are you in ca
No Ohio
Where in Ohio... I have a 2013 with a broken stud and I was planning to do headers when I fix it and you seem to know what the fuck you're doing
You didn't show "how" to install.
