Great video - I’ll add a couple more…. The pocket 3 will always get a straight horizon (which most beginner photographers never seem to remember to do).. and with pocket 3 you can connect to mimo and then take the photos remotely. So for instance, leave pocket pointing at flower and go have a pint on the patio…. As soon as pretty bumble bee lands on flower, kick off a great photo, or even 120 slo motion wonder shot with tap of the screen. And another, try doing a motion lapse on your smart-phone…. :)
One of the few photograpbers to focus on photos. Thanks
Great video Barry… keep at it.
Very informative AND entertaining review! Thank you for that!
For me as a real estate photo/ videographer the pocket3 is a bless! In some cases I use the Pocket 3 as a replacing photo camera as well. I figured out how to make a prefix for straighten things out in Lightroom when using the Pocket 3 wide-angle lens. At location this little device on a light Ricoh 360 tripod handles so easy; you can place it almost everywhere. When controlled with the app on you phone you don't have to fold yourself in difficult places. Just go to the next room and make the magic happen with your phone. So much more conveniënt then using a heavy cam on a heavy tripod! The main (Dutch) Real Estate website only accept photos of 2160*1440 px, so enough to play with.
If only... there was a bit longer exposing time to keep the ISO low as you mentioned. And... if bracketing /HDR comes available; this would be my main cam for most of the the assignments in stead of my Canon R full frame. Strange is'n it? Hope DJI is listening... 😉
Great video, thank you! Very helpful.
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching. Did you think there is a big difference in the photos?
I think OP3 wins for walking talking head and cinematic B-Roll option. iPhone wins for social media accessibility, immediate uploads to things like Instagram, tiktok. Two different tools for the tool belt as many have said.
Great edit and thanks for sharing your a legend. 👌🙌👍
Great examples; Thanks Vic!
Thanks pal. What do you reckon? Worth the extra for a flagship phone?
@@VicBarry as i destroyed the main lens on my 13 pro max and replaced with a foggy "OEM" (POS).... that's where i'm torn...
- I simply need to focus on that story side of your review and I would probably be fine living in a 2k world and continuing my 4k existence within the hands of you professionals 👍🏼
@lambo_drives ouch. 😣 great reply and very true 🔥🙏
Excellent video, I like all of the info and your presentation is great! I am going to subscribe now!
Thanks Larry 🙏
I like the Pocket 3 photo at 4:43 as it looks warmer, more natural, and the bokeh makes it look great. Somehow the iPhone one (on the right) looks a little more like artificial sharpness, flat, and one-dimensional without the bokeh.
Next time use the back iPhone main lens...
Can take your own pictures using standard and follow mode?
Great video!
Thanks for taking the time to watch it 🙏
Great video! I was searching to see if someone compared the pocket 3 to an iphone front camera. Good to know that if I get one, the pocket 3 will look better than my iphone 12 pro front camera.
The one thing that frustrates me about DJI is their lack of explanation as to why certain features are the way they are. 1 second shutter speed for example? Why? If they updated the firmware with most of the things you've mentioned, given it's price, it would be very hard to beat. Cheers!
Yeah. It’s a fair point. I still think it’s very hard to beat for the functionality and quality though. That aside, I feel photo mode is just an add on. Definitely a video first device IMO
@@VicBarry 100%. I very rarely take photos with it, mainly videos. In fact, wouldn't bother me if they took the photo ability away and just had it as a video camera and update the f*** out of the firmware 🤣
@whatsnottohike 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hello, thank you for a great video.
I am planning for a solo travel and want to use Dji osmo pocket 3 on stand and take my own pictures. Can you tell me if its worth it?
Yes, absolutely
What camera and lens are you using on this video? Great set up!
Hey :) From what I remember it's the Sony FX3 and a Viltrox 16mm Lens...I think ;)
You are an amazing story teller. 😍
Thank you so much!
Just for my own reference, what makes you think that? (Always love to hear feedback so I can improve)
Thanks!
Thank YOU Norman 🙏
You are welcome Vic. I don’t think people realize how expensive making these teaching videos can be. Hope you get more help from our team.
:) Thanks Norman, appreciate the comment and acknowledgment big time! And thank YOU for all your support!
My OP3 shots are either great or garbage. Most shots of people come with eyes blurred or closed and its so frustrating. Like even clicking selfies half my shots are eyes closed. Is it cause of the slower shutter speed in low light? Anyway to tackle it expect for not blinking lol.
Ok you are funny… I’m subscribing 😂
3840*2160 photo from OP3 is perfect and sharpest than any camera or mobile phone on 4K big screen monitors.
proof ?
@@DoKaTS If you have a perfectly calibrated 42" 4K monitor, you can tell the truth easily.
Nope:))
