- I wasn't going to put this one up because of the length, but I did anyhow if anyone is interested in seeing how I make my raw pizza crust!!

Personally, I cannot stand the taste of flax seeds their flavor is over powering (I don't believe humans were meant to eat them due to their profile, hence why they must be ground immediately before consumption). I use psyllium husk which imparts no flavor and has many nutritional benefits (it's also far cheaper and keeps for years), it binds everything with just a couple tablespoons or so and makes it easy to create raw crackers, crusts, breads, thicken puddings etc. Great vid as always Connie, you are a true inspiration!
Pulse:
medium size cauliflower
handful of cilantro
3 gloves garlic
1/4 cup onion
Then add:
1 cup almond pulp
salt and pepper
lime juice
chili flakes
1/4 cup ground flax with 1/4 cup water
black olive tapenade (optional)
olive oil
If the flax acts as a binder why is the olive oil necessary? Just for taste?

Connie, I rescue cats to. I also have 6. Same reason, I couldn't bear to see them out in the cold. People don't realize just how cold it gets here in Vegas in the winter, but let me tell you, it's cold. We also get wind a lot down here, cause we're in a valley. I know it doesn't compare to your neck of the woods, and I hope you don't think I'm being silly by saying that. But like you, I have a deep compassion for animals, and I can't handle seeing them abandoned and hungry, or injured. God bless you, and thanks for this fabulous recipe. My sister was just asking me if I would make another califlower pizza, and I told her I need to find a better recipe, and I saw yours today. She just asked me last night.
ur so wonderful!!!! not many will take in 6 cats! Sometimes it feels like a zoo here lol But I do my very best to love and take care of them!!! I have one who is so feral she allows me to go near her as I feed her. but she will never let me pet her. I want her to know what it's like to feel love. But she is just too scared and it's over 3 years now. But if I go near her with food she will stay right next to me, But no touching. I can leave the door wide open and she will never go near it. He has passed may -35C weather. I know she is happy be be here. But if I can just show her some love a gentel touch. Aww that would be great! Blessings to you for being so kind!!! Thanks for the recipe. I made this recipe a while back and although is was good, I dehydrated my crust too long and it was too tough for me. This time I watched it carefully and it was perfect.

Connie, First off you are AMAZING and I love watching you !!! Your such an inspiration !!! I do not have a dehydrator currently 😥 Any way I could use my oven, and if so, what temp, and time do I leave my crust in for ? Thank You Connie ❤❤❤
If you oven goes down below 135 you can use that ... maybe just prop door open a smidge to help moisture escape

ps ... My airfryer has dehydrate setting so maybe???

I made raw bread out of the recipe this time. Just keep it somewhat moist and score ahead of dehydrating. I also added little chunks of Red Bell pepper and extra chili flakes for more Bite. Absolutely delicious. Thanks again!

Can you make this without the almond pulp and without the flax? Basically nut free? will the consistency still come out good? thanks in advance
u can use some chickpea flour instead of almond pulp. and the flax helps give it a good bind :) like replacing an egg
Technically almonds are seeds and so are flax - they are not nuts. Blessings

I have a old good for you. but any deydrtator will do. today even ovens have dehydrators. excalibur dehydrator are the best

For what length of time is it supposed to go in the dehydrator?
that really depends on you how firm you want your crust and how soft ur toppings

What temp is the dehydrator set at and roughly how long? Several people have asked, but you haven't given any details. Thanks
when I was doing mostly raw I would but it at 115 to 117 it's a very low seeting to not cook the ingredients

What would I use if I don't have any nut pulp? Could I use almond flour?
yes for sure u can use almond flour. But this recipe is to show that pulp doesn't need to go to the garden. you can use it in recipes
Dehydrator for how long and what temperature?
I always go below 118 to keep it raw. I just keep checking to see how I like it :D ur call
How long need to dehidrate?
that's up to you when u feel it's dry enough for you :) I like mine dryer because when u do add toppings it tends to get a little wet so the dryer it is the better it is :)
Connie, could you do some family style casseroles, or how to take a regular casserole recipe and make it vegan?

Some eat vegan food and some refuse! I am trying to get them all vegan. I find my feral cats that I saved from the outdoors refuse vegan food.
@@conniesrawsomekitchen They are probably used to catching, killing and eating raw mice. It's what cats do.
Also please, what type of brown paper is that you are using on your tray?
Can you freeze "Raw" foods / crust/ etc?
my dehydrating tray?? it's a mylar paper made just for dehydrating. I don't freeze my raw food unless it's a dessert.

How long did you keep the pizza crust in the dehydrator for?
I let it go overnight till nice and dry. this way when you add stuff ontop it gets a little softer :) if ur crust is still wet you won't be able to hold it in your hands

I have to ask but..... why is it just about anyone who makes anything they do it with jewelry on? I make jewelry and you cant even imagine what's on and attached to jewelry like metals glass stone do you really want that in your food?
I wouldn't call the flax seed 'gelatin' texture..."mucous". Mucous is what comes out of the nose--runny boogers. DisGUSTING! SO unappetizing to call it "mucous"!!
