I use the Desk Cycle 2 at home in front of the TV. You really can get a decent cardio workout out of it. I have it on carpet and never have any issues with it sliding.
I've had this Desk Cycle for a few years. I use it at work under my desk. The biggest cons are that if you're using a regular office chair that is on casters, you'll have to figure out how to not roll back while you're cycling. The strap that comes with the Desk Cycle is pretty worthless. The other one is that the height (regardless of the adjustment) is such that anyone with a little bit longer legs (e.g., an average height man) will have their knees hit the under side of the desk. You could use an adjustable desk but then your chair might be too low. It's a balancing act.
You guys should review the flexcycle under desk bike pedal exerciser and compare it to this one. It looks pretty good and is cheaper than this one, however, there aren't much reviews on it on amazon or youtube so it's hard to confirm. Nice video by the way! Great review of the product
These reviews are not honest. This DeskCycle 2 moves when used with on a sofa or recliner. You have to only peddle backwards to keep it from moving around
