What in my hospital bag 2012, whats in my hospital bag, what to pack for hospital bag, what to pack for hospital delivery, delivery, newborn, itsjudytime, itsjudyslife, baby julianna, julianna
my fiancé is due in October on the 4th I can't wait for my daughter to come !!!
It's so strange watching this, Julianna wasn't even born, and now the twins are nearly here!
its so amazing when i take a moment to grasp how much you guys let us into your lives and how much we feel we know you and love you guys as if we've met! ... we've seen u date, get engaged, married and now building an even more beautiful life with baby julianna!! its so awesome!
I can't believe you're already preparing your hospital bag. Watching you everyday, you forget the time!
thanks for this video. I'm 34 weeks now and your video was the only one I watched that didn't scare me about the bleeding after birth. congrats on your bundle of joy! #teamgirl
She does look different. Of course because it's different pregnancies!! I personally think it's also because her hair is longer than it is now. Her skin tone is slightly darker and her makeup, blush countouring etc. Also it could be her teeth (finished her invasilign, however you spell it, that also changes the shape of your mouth jaw)
I think she is beautifull always! Can not wait for the twins. Can't believe it's already been over a year. Julianna is soo big now.
LOVE YOU JUDY!!!!!!
this video made me emotional! i just have loved being able to watch your little family grow from the beginning!!
I just want to say when i was pregnant with my daughter in 2014 i found you video and it helped me out so much i got pregnant with ny son in 2016 i looked for you videos to refresh my mommy bag essentials now im back in 2022-2023 for my surrogacy and i only want to see your video thank you for also being apart of my pregnancy journeys 🥹🫶🏼❤️
cant believe its been 2 years since jb was born!
I can't pinpoint it but you look so different here than Now I'm not sure if it's your makeup or what but you have changed
I said the same thing when I was watching her older vids, and I figured it's probably because she had completed her invisaline.
I had to do hospitality work placement for school, which involved taking food to patients.. I've never really been fond of kids but I have to say the maternity ward was ADORABLE! The look on the parent's faces and just the atmosphere of the ward when a new baby arrived was pretty amazing, so I wish you the best of luck with your new bubba on the way and a safe delivery and speedy recovery! :)
I can't believe that baby Julianna is almost here; it's so crazy how quickly times flies by. Watching this video just made me realize how close she is to coming. You and Benji are going to be great parents; and don't worry if you forget little things. Honestly the hospital provides A LOT of things as well. Can't wait for Julianna to make her debut!
you look like a hot preggy girlfriend here.. more maarte the way you talk and do your makeup hehehe. you look like a hot momma now! cant wait to see twinbears!!!! :)

Those pads are useless. You'll have to change after 10 minutes. You want the thicker ones.
Thanks for making/posting this video, Judy! PLEASE KEEP THIS VIDEO UP, so i know what to bring when if i have a baby in the future! X
sooo excited for the both of you and the new addition!! Can't wait to see her soon!!
u should wash baby's clothes
Excited for you! and happy for you both!...I agree with some of the comments here about an extra pillow and bigger pads...
Its starting to feel so real that you and Benji are having a baby now! Craaaaazy, i'm excited for you both! Good luck xo
I agree, mittens are so important! And make sure you have your nurse teach you how to do a really good swaddle. I know the first time I went home, my baby loved to be wrapped tightly and I could never get it tight enough.
I also had one of those baby carrier inserts w/bumpers, but later found out they're actually really unsafe (although I can't remember why). The safer way to cushion baby's head is to just roll up some receiving blankets and stuff the carseat after she's already buckled in.
i truly wish you a speedy delivery.
Make sure to bring very comfy loose clothing to wear while you're at the hospital as well as for going home. And I def agree with everyone about getting bigger thicker pads! The brand "Always" has some really nice thick night time ones. (they come in a purple packaging) I got those after I had my baby, and they worked perfectly. Good luck and we can't wait to see your new bundle of joy!
And stock up on the pain spray and tucks! Huge relief down in that area!!
agree, i got one too after hours and hours of pain, it helped me rest and then it did wear off and the pain came back again and was able to feel when to push!
Watching this in March 2018! Expecting my first little bundle in May. Trying to figure out what to put in my bag, this was very helpful thanks Judy!!! ❤️
Good luck ate judy! Cant wait to meet baby julianna!!! We're so excited!
hospitals are usually very cold, so i would bring a blanket, just because i know i dont like to snuggle up to a hospital blanket! and of course a light blanket (not your comforter haha but maybe a throw that people usually use when lounging)! having a blanket to sleep with that smells like your own laundry, is very comforting:) maybe one for baby bear too!
I recommend you read up on carseat safety. I didn't know a lot about common mistakes many parents make. I hope you have a safe labor & delivery. Best of luck to you & Benji.
My bag was MUCH bigger lol I have regular pads but the longer once and I used two when I was at the hospital and I use a sash hope is write like that for support my belly, some towels, soap, shampoos, sanitizer, body cream, something to sleep you can look online too
Poise pads were my bff right after I had my baby! Yes I know they are for Incontinence but they were AWESOME! I would deff recommend thicker pads than what you have!!
Don't forget a cute outfit/dress for her photos the hospital takes.
I'm so excited for you!!
Ohhh, I can't believe you're already preparing for the hospital! I remember when you had just told us you were pregnant, and you had no tummy! Hehe, time goes by so fast! I hope everything goes well for you and baby! I'll keep you in my prayers! Stay Strong through labor Judy!♥
Oh my goshh you fit sooo much in that bag!! I'm so excited for you guys!!!
So excited for you & benji! Can't wait to see baby.
Hi Judy, I haven't had a baby but I know many many women who have. Their advice they gave me was "don't be alarmed if you bleed A LOT after giving birth".
As in, the first time you stand up "it's like the flood gates have opened"
They all said that they wished somebody told them that so the shock factor would have been softened!
GOOD LUCK xoxo
I am soo excited for you guys! My husband and I just got married and am waiting to start a family so that we can just enjoy each other. It is so encouraging to see other young healthy relationships and families starting! I will pray for you and your baby! God Bless! :D
so helpful thank you judy!
Good luck! my cousin had her baby a couple months ago and she felt so bad, she could barely walk around anyway! and if you have to go to the bathroom make sure to get a plastic type filled with air seater, i dont really know what its called but it helps you not go so down and hurting your area and making sure you dont rip..
It's been a pleasure being able to watch this journey congrats once again!!! :)
The day is almost here!! So excited for you :)
Definitely bring EXTRA heavy pads, and PLENTY of nursing pads. I also recommend taking a warm shower when your contractions start getting really bad. I thought it wouldn't help at all, but it seriously made the pain 10 times more bearable for me! Good luck pretty lady! I'm so excited for you and Benji!!! :) Love love love xxx
I'm SOOOOO excited for you girl!!
Dont forget things like phone and camera chargers. I brought my ipod to play some music throughout my start as well
if you havent already you should go and get a hospital tour so you can get all your paperwork done & also know what to do when you arrive at the hospital & where they keep there wheel chairs if you were to need one & where the emergency door is at if your contractions start in the middle of the night because at night the front doors are closed , hope this helps :)
I definitely over-packed when I went lol. But I definitely think you have all the essentials there. I would keep the things you need during labor handy and in a smaller bag or a side pocket (lip balm, hair ties, phone charger, etc). As far as pads, Always Infinity are the best! They're thin but work so well! Definitely get the highest absorbency which is usually overnight.
I remember when you first announced you were pregnant! Now Julianna is almost here! I pray you have a safe delivery! :) You are the best Judy!!
3 pairs of mittens, 3 pairs of socks, 5 burp cloths, a muslin blanket works best for swaddling baby. Be prepared to bleed... Those pads will do nothing for you but hospital will provide - - they're huge! I freaked out at them! I cloth diaper and the cloth eez prefold flat is the best ever burp cloth. Forget all those nice cute cloths.. The absorbency of a prefold is unbeatable! So excited for Julianna to arrive! You and Benji are going to be wonderful parents!
Yay, thanks for sharing! I haven't even thought about my hospital bag yet...thankfully I have a couple months left ;-)
I am so overwhelmed with emotions. I can't wait to see baby!! haha. Hope all goes well Judy & Benji! and baby!
A few things I suggest, the pads you might want to get a little bigger size, and I would bring a boppy pillow for nursing, it helped me a lot. Also where I live in Iowa hospitals don't allow the coarsest head things for baby. They have you put two receiving blankets on the sides of baby. The carseat headrest and slip down the babies head and get caught in between the neck pushing the babies head down. So they aren't good. Receiving blankets work perfect :) good luck and best wishes!!
congratulations!!
ugg i am seriously so excited for you.... you are going to be the best and sweetest mom ever
I would bring lots of sanitary pads and a change of pj pants just incase also cotton wool for wiping babys mouth, eyes, changing diapers etc, a coat or all in one coat for bringing her home, few changes of scratch mits, hand sanitizer and pacifiers x
I'm so excited, can't wait to see baby Juliana! I wish you the best of luck! :)
I agree with what the other people were saying. Bring your own pillow, nursing pillow (or extra pillow to help with nursing), and definitely will need some heavier duty pads :)
i just had my 2nd baby 2 weeks ago. my hosp had giant pads and disposable panties. i bled a lot for the first couple of days so i just used those. Even stayed in my hosp gown. You bled so much, it can leak and i didnt want to worry bout my clothes getting soiled so i stayed in the hosp gown til I went home. You may want to bring a dress or skirt. other than pants incase you have c-section so it doesnt rub against stitches.just in case. shower stuff & towel. Hair tie and headband.
I am so excited for you and Benji! She is coming so soon!!! I do have one suggestion for you to add and that would be a cute going home outfit for baby :) I wish you all the best!!!
Aww I'm excited for Julianna's arrival!
yes judy just like everyone else you need bigger pads and also a hair tie because omg my hair is long also and with my second kid i had a big knot in the back of my hair.also another blanket for baby good luck judy cant wait to see baby
I'm so excited to see Julianna!!
One thing I think you should definitely take besides your receiving blanket is a bigger/warmer blanket for when your going back home just in case it's cold outside :)
when i gave birth to my 2nd baby, my labor hit out of no where and i ended up leaving everything behind. but luckily our house was 2 blocks away and hubby went and got everything for me. :) i had it all packed but i went into labor while i was out. and i was screaming my head off in the hospital because there was no time for a epidural. had to do it naturally. and i felt EVERYTHING!!!! it was the worst and best experience ever! im excited for u!!!
My sister is due next month on the 16th, however by the way she's been feeling I think the baby can come any day now. Thanks for sharing what's in your hospital bag! :) Very informative!
beautiful bag!
great advice!
Judy, you're such a genuine and sweet person! I love watching your video's! Thank you for sharing your life with us, you are such a positive role-model! :)
I would definitely say to get the thicker overnight pads just in case the thin ones aren't good enough. Also make sure to bring a brush and hair ties and you may want to bring shower shoes or plastic flip flops. Also another heavier blanket for Julianna in case it's cold when you bring her home. The one you have is good for wrapping her in but you'll want one more just to put over her in the car seat while you're outside. Good luck Judy and Benji!!
I second the recommendation for extra batteries, cell chargers, laptop/tablet (labor gets boring if you have an epidural), a couple of magazines, and make sure Benji packs a couple pillows for himself (with a colored case so they don't get mistaken for hospital pillows) and an extra comfy blanket. Also the Medela cooling gel breast pads. You run them under water for a second and then place them directly onto your breast after feeding. They were a tremendous help.
I also agree with bringing nippy pillow and Lansinoh cream if you're nursing...you guys are great!! Keep up the great work:)
The hospitals actually recommend that you don't use any head support padding that did not come with the actual car seat. The reason being is that it hasn't been tested in your car seat when it comes to car accidents. Just an FYI. Congrats! We just had our baby girl 3 months ago! Motherhood is the best!
I know, the hospitals in the US provide all of those things (well, at least mine did) I didn't need to provide anything accept the going home outfit. They also gave me a huge goody bag should I say when I left the hospital that was filled with diapers, wipes, formula samples (in case I needed) samples of baby wash, lotion. Wow, plus a bunch of stuff for myself pads, tucks, and lots of other things.
Just a tip in case you "tear' or are sore my doctor told me to wet a couple of pads. Put the in the freezer and let the get really cold ( not completely frozen) and you can use them to help soothe if you are really sore. It was the best thing ever after I had my 9lb 8 oz!!! Little girl.
This was so helpful! you definitely thought of a few things I didn't haha thanks! :)
Awe good luck!
oh wow its so close now! excitement!
Babies nails sometimes come out really long! gloves for sure so she wont scratch her gorgeous face! Most newborns are really small when they first arrive so most of her clothes will prob be really big on her, try washing the newborn clothes and see if they shrink a little, if not get one or two pairs of premie clothes so they can fit her perfectly. I am so happy for you guys!
Whoa! You are super prepared girl!!
Stool softner!!!!! It's a little much I know but when I had my son I tore down there and I was soooooooo scared of going number two that I didn't go for like a week... A great tip I read from other mamas on babycenter was to take a washcloth and soak in hot water and press it against the stitches( if you do tear or they have to cut) and then go number two. Don't want to scare you but it's good to know if you find yourself in that situation. And also I heard doing kegal exercises will help you a
You probably won't have much milk leakage until you get home, it takes a while for your milk to start. The hospital will give you thick pads for bleeding, just make sure you have some thicker ones for when you get home. You will go home with lots of stuff from the hospital. I think the baby outfits you picked out are adorable, but look a bit big.
You and Benji are so sweet, and will be such good parents. Good luck, Judi! You will do great!
Here in NC the hospital provides everything for baby so we will only need the going home outfit. They even provide mesh, postpartum undies and thick pads. I'm not sure if your hospital does the same. I would recommend plenty of high fiber snacks because your bathroom activity will be monitored and will be taken into account when deciding how soon you can go home. Definitely check with the Maternity Ward to see what they will be providing.
Judy, my sister works on the maternity ward in a hospital...I know all hospitals are different but here are some things you didn't mention, maybe you did but I'll put it anyways. You need to get some baby wash for when you wash her at the hospital, barrier cream, newborn diapers, wash cloths, baby mitts, and baby wipes and like someone else said, the always over night pads are what you will need!!!!! Congrats again and good luck, I can't wait to see her!!!
I know you're going to get a TON of comments on what to bring, but here's my 2 cents. Don't worry about pads. You're going to get some serious pads there. Also ask for a can of Dermoplast! It's a cooling spray for burns and cuts but using it on your behind will make it a LOT easier to sit down. Some hospitals prefer that you not eat ANYTHING while in labor and just will bring you all of the ice chips you can handle. And I totally love nursing tanks! I still use them all the time for layering!
I am so excited for your child! I've been watching your videos since you started making them years ago, and I honestly feel like I am part of your beautiful family. I feel like an Aunty! Can't wait to see beautiful Juliana! =)
And now the twins will be here, induced yesterday! (Uk time!) excited! 😁
this is so exciting! i cant wait for baby julianna
November 1st in my Birthday!!! Woot woot! The possibility of Julianna and I sharing a birthday... XD Yay!!!!
I really hope you two vlog in the hospital
So exciting :) Like everyone else says...bigger pads (but hospitals usually provide the huge ones)...something to secure your hair...some sort of chapstick (your lips get dry from all the "breathing"...baby socks...shampoo/body wash...and light makeup of course~! You're almost there...looking forward to meeting your babygirl...the are so precious!
I wish I had thought about bringing a robe when I gave birth cause I hated those robes they had with the holes in the back..lol..very drafty! and omg..might need to bring more pads cause there's gonna be lots of bleeding but mine was provided by the hospital!! I am sooo exicted, can't wait to see Julianna!!!
I am surprised the hospital doesn't provide pads, mine did and they were HUGE. Get the overnights or the biggest ones you can find :) As far as the nursing pads you probably won't need them until after a few days when your milk comes in but good to have just in case :)
I reccomend bringing xtra blankets and a pillow from home. Also, petroleum jelly to put on babys bottom everytime you change them because when they are first born their bowels are really loose and sticky (tar like) and its easier to get it off if their little bottoms are coated in petroleum jelly.
I have been WAITING for this video,
Also hats for the baby. My baby is 2 now I'm trying to remember as best as I can x
Wow getting close! A few items you might want to consider: Baby wipes, preferably the Lansinoh for breastfeeding babies, really gentle on the skin and newborn poo is really sticky so it helps it come off gently without having to over rub. And get some of the big overnight pads hun, those little ones aren't going to cut it. Some baby socks would be good too.. If you are going to cloth diaper her you should take some with you with a wet bag.
i just had a baby 9 months ago & just got the regular pads too & people r right u need the big HUGE ones . . . so glad my mom went out & got me some
Thank you ! I am going to born in oct 24 so I loom around for this kind of video
For you: Towels, shampoo, something to read, chanche for vendingmachines, wet wipes so you can refresh yourself when you sweat, elastic bands for you hair. For Julianna: Mittens, soother, body for baby ( enough! ), blanket for wen you leave the hospital. Ooh and don't forget Benji ;)
So exciting!! Baby is almost here :-) i allways carry wet wipes with me. Just for a quick fresh up or to clean something. Maybe it will be handy for the ride home? Good luck with everything!!!! You are beautiful people!!!
@itsjudystime I'm not sure if you are aware, but for the first 2 weeks or so your nipps are going to be sore for nursing.. They are going to be real tender, but push through it because nursing your baby is the best thing you could ever do & its a great bonding experience.. I nursed both of my children.. Stay Blessed!!! BTW I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!
I had almost the same original and secondary due date, original is october 23rd and secondary is november 1st =] so excited!!
