- in this episode we find ourselves with another stuck stem. only this one some careless person has rounded out the bolt!
I figure I might as well try and save the the stem and frame and fork by using the amazing technique called "Removal by Destruction"!!!! drilling out and destroying the quill stem wedge bolt and hoping I don't damage anything else, and hoping the stem comes out! do I pull off this double miracle?!?!?!

It's so much easier to talk about things after the fact than remembering to film things while doing things! But I'll try.

Lol, I just made this yesterday! But give it time and hopefully that will be true!
I was just at salvage sales today and there was a nice frame with a Cinelli stem in it. I assumed it was stuck but it loosened up and just took a gentle push to free the plunger and one good yank to break it free. I couldn't believe it, it seemed way to easy after having to film this episode!
How did you know I´ve been fighting with this problem for the last three days?
Because at some point we're all unlucky enough to stuck with this problem!
But also learning how to do anything is very freeing! So maybe it's a good thing in the end... After you're done... Hopefully with luck getting it out!

@@starmichaelbuilds Got new cheap drill bits alright, but I lost my nerves when the the drill jammed and a bit of the bolt head flew off. My poor drilling not your technique! Solved the issue by buying exact same bike where everything was screwed except the fork and the stem. Keep up the great videos and greetings from Austria!
