Carousel is a song that talks about how the character of Melanie Martinez (Cry Baby) is desperate to feel love, after having lived and told everything that lives in her life with the previous songs; Sippy Cup, Dollhouse and Cry Baby, after her mother has made her forget everything she saw in this song, with the sip cup, she tries to feel good and after arriving at the carnival she meets the boy from the music video with whom she falls in love Since she doesn't know what love is, she thinks that this boy really loves her, but it's a toxic relationship, the boy is a bad person who wants to have cry baby on the carousel to have fun for a while and make cry baby suffer , which in the end realizes that it was a false love and that he will never let himself be carried away by a false love again.

1. This song was the theme song in ahs
2. That guy's name is Alphaphet boy (some characters from this mv will appear in one of the mv as easter eggs, not as characters, their names will be shown in the same mv).
3. The album is divided into several semantic parts. (for me, this is 1- the introduction of the character, an introduction to his environment. 2- the personal life of the character. 3.- the formation of the personality and the consequences of the influence of the environment and experience in personal life.
I hope you manage to realize the idea of interviewing, it will be very interesting to see

Melanie has made it clear before that she hasn't been through this stuff in real life. She said that when she was in school she got called crybaby a lot and that's why she created the character of Crybaby who goes through all this stuff. Melanie said she actually has a great relationship with her parents in real life. But I like that her music talks about this stuff

When the masked guy is playing the water gun game, its a reference to the saying "the player is playing her but nobody is playing the player" as indicated by the dolls. If you didn't notice his doll is right beside hers but no one is playing him. Sounds to me like a player type situation.

To me personally, the song is about falling in love with someone, and them love bombing and manipulating, and refusing to satisfy your needs in the bedroom. as a way to control you and keep you wanting more. And then, once you finally get it, he takes advantage and doesn't stop even though you want to. I know that is really deep, but after watching it again after so many years, it really feels like the message she's trying to get across. To bring awareness to victims of toxic and abusive relationships and SA survivors.
