I had a very Disturbed childhood, and this band was the only outlet to provide that initial push to persevere through the unfathomable actions from my mother. I associate this song, in particular, to my biological mother who caused so much pain amongst 6+ siblings. Every time I was on the brink of despair I would listen to Indestructible or Haunted and remind myself that I too, was disturbed, and could be redeemed.

Coming from someone who grew up in a house with 11 other people and slept in a closet for the majority of my childhood, I fucking feel you with all my heart brother. Things get better with time, and with self-love. It took me a long time but now I’m a 4.0 student in college and I’m gonna be a psych major to help other people who feel the same way we do

As a kid i knew what "Haunted" meant and i fell in love with this song since 10 years old, but now that i understand (Im 23 now) lyrics it gives motivation to not give up!
As you get older and wiser, you will start to understand stuff like this more, but from different perspectives. There are more layers to discover as you age. Cheers, brother 🤘

My favorite song from Disturbed probably because it hits home. I grew up seeing and experiencing the very thing they're singing about, turned dark myself and it took a long time to find my way out. This song is dark and soothing at the same time. Hands down the best song they made and it will always be my number 1. Haunted = Life.
