I just broke up with my abusive girlfriend. This song basically describes my entire situation and it feels like hell. I never tried harder for anything in my life and yet she just used me then left me. Manipulated me then broke me... Your music is helping me not to go back to her. Thank you.

The song has been out 13 years and I was today years old when I realized what the puppet part really means. A representation between the abuser who doesn't want to lose their play toy and the victim who is their puppet and wants out.
I have always loved and listened to disturbed for as long as I can remember, their the only band who has imbedded all song lyrics into my brain. It feels impactful when a song meaning can still get you after hearing it for so long
