Phish SPAC Saratoga Springs, New York June 19th, 2004 Set II A Song I Heard The Ocean Sing Piper Gotta Jibboo Limb By Limb Cavern Encore Wading In The Velvet Sea
The LxL is such a perfect exclamation point on everything that happened in the set leading up to it. Such an underlooked jam . Was my favorite part of the night. I remember thinking that had to be the end of the set and how perfect of an ending it was, and with the cavern that followed, it should have been. Probably the best ASIHTOS played to date as well
Everybody knows the Piper, but the WotC outtro jam in Set 1 is A+ and the ASHITOS and LimbXLimb are outstanding as well. All intensely emotive. A truly euphoric Limb peak. A magical weekend in Saratoga.
Were you at dpac 9/14/00? That was my first show at 16 followed by IT and spac 04 and camden 04. The scene sucks now. Aside from people cooking crack on lot the phans and scene were speacial no social media narcissist or phones. Some chompers but cocaine was hella popular then.
Hey thanks! The artwork I made myself digitally. I used an app called mirrorlab. The colors were selected by taking a picture of different paintings I have made. The picture was then altered into different mandalas or some other sort of fractal/abstract image. One example of my paintings, in my other video during Free - Set II 6/26/95 - if you take that image and split it down the middle, that's one painting.
What a weekend... In the midst of such a heavy difficult era... Drugs... Realizing the trajectory of existence...I believe 2004-ish was when there was enough time to get over the shock of 9/11, while simultaneously having enough distance from it to see the trajectory more clearly that the people running shit. This will always equal debauchery, violence, hedonism.... Basically human recklessness. The band and the crowd were both and all partaking in 2004..it wasn't good, it wasn't healthy..... I'm as lucky to be alive as trey is.. but fucking shit....both nights of spac '04 are so e of the best music phish has ever performed. Up there with nye 95, big cypress, Tahoe tweezer, msg nye '19 tweezer, bomb factory fest... Magnaball... It's some of the most incredible improvised music ever performed. I felt then and still do that at the time.. spac was their goodbye to the fans. Thank God it wasn't, but ya know. Jesus what a weekend
well theres merriweather 98, oswego 99, the guy forget piper 00, and theres a set of 3 pipers from the winter 03 and a set of 3 from summer 03 that are considered greats. cant forget about the nye 03 run opener that ones killer too. this one too of course but its which is ur favorite because theyre all completely different and great in their own way.
In terms of pure jamming, this is like top of the top of Phish ever.
Good lord this is SBD of one of the best sets ever why are there not millions of views?
because the oxy years trigger people
A lot of phans suck at phish is my guess
@@timcardona9962 yep. A lot of "phans" think 04 is shit bc they've never actually listened. Nor were they actually there to witness it
Also everybody thinks Coventry when they think of 04 Phish. They don't think about the insane jams that came before
04 was amazing other than those Vegas shows. 03 as well. Still my two favorite years of Phish by far.
My 9th and 10th Phish shows. This weekend was incredible. Some of the best jamming Phish has ever performed
my 4th and 5. agreed, my 17yr old just noob mind had no idea what it was witnessing

What a time to be 20
I was there alone, my friends were getting spun out in the lot. I managed to make every show summer of 04 felt like the end of an era
17 fucking years already! Wow. One of the best nights I've ever had. The music still holds up.
Piper starts at 18:28

How have no extra people found this gem besides chris conley
People saying they're old. This is more than 10 years after my first show. I was at this show and this is one of my favorite jams of all time.
