I did buy a few pens for Fountain Pen Day. I bought a Lamy 2000 since it gets so much hype... with a fine nib. And then I was scrolling IG and came across a great reel from pen maker Little Pen Co. in NC... and ordered a sparkly number from them. I am excited to see them both in person. Mail is taking forever these days!

Yeah, try to acquire a three, or four pen case, so that you do not do a 30 inked pens for 30 days, and just rotate 3-4 inked pens. I only do bulb syringe clean my few inked pens when the ink is used up, and swap that pen out for one in my collection, it works.

I'm so sorry, you're not getting as much time in your journals as you would want. I know it doesn't help in the moment, but it sure does get better. Keep telling yourself that! It was fun hanging out with you this morning, when not my kids woke me up, but my three cats told me that they don't care it's Sunday. Breakfast is at six sharp. So I'm making the best of it and enjoying some hours of me time.

I'm OK with keeping about 20 fountain pens inked up. These fit into several (to go) cases, a Galen Leather A5 folio, and a couple of Rickshaw- Nock's, and an old Nock from the 00's that I keep at home near paper, etc.. Then I clean out a pen when it runs dry, and then (if there is room in the various cases) ink up something new. So some pens (like high capacity Opus 88s or piston fillers) end up being inked for a while. I'm OK with that.

I understand you. A few months ago I've realized that I just was accumulating fountain pens, and some inks. So, I decided stop buying more and start using them (some of them were waiting at their pencases. 😅
I am getting to that point. In comparison to previous years, I’m slowing down on the buy buy buy and beginning to just shop my stash.

Lovely! I too waited an eternity for tea time, and also got the companion ink. It’s a bit too light for the medium nib, so I’m planning on inking with rikyucha instead. Also, I’m waiting for a couple of more preorders, probably the same ones as you, lol! 😂 (I agree, Bart is amazing!!)
Great video. Yeah I have the tiniest fountain pen collection I mean like 10 pens but all I was truly intentional when I purchased so I can't imagine your struggles 😮
I'm no Drew Brown, but I don't really like having loads of pens inked. Lately, for 'reasons', I ended up with over 17, which is my most ever. Usually, I prefer seven pens inked ideally.

Yes I believe I got the 2mm. It’s fun but definitely needs a lubricating ink because otherwise it feels rough on the paper.
