This isn't an Elvis song. '50s-style Crazy Little Thing Called Love , was made by Freddy Mercury himself, as an homage to Elvis of course, which he was a fan. He made this song two years after Elvis death. I suspect you hear the original studio version, of Freddy mercury. Which is always a bit different in live concert.

Crazy Little Thing Called Love was written by Freddie in honor of Elvis while he was taking a bubble bath. Another song mistaken as not theirs is "Stone Cold Crazy" Some people believed Metallica wrote it, they just did it as a cover. Queen wrote it and actually opened the door to thrash metal when they performed it back in the 70's. Vanilla Ice also stole a rift from Queen and was sued for it. If you listen to "Ice Ice Baby" the beginning of it is the same as the beginning of Queens "Under Pressure"

Great reaction girls! Although Crazy Little Thing Called Love was written by Freddie in 1979 as a tribute to Elvis, who had died in 1977, so its impossible that you have heard Elvis sing it. Freddie had a way of connecting with the audience, even those right in the back row, that transcended all others. Modern artists can put in a good show with their dance moves, but Freddie didn’t need that. He was and still is absolutely adored by all his fans and it’s been 30 years this year, since his death. To truly appreciate how phenomenal they were live, check out Somebody to Love live at Montreal, Who Wants to Live Forever live at Budapest and Love of my Life live at Rio or Wembley. But their most energetic performance would be Now I’m Here live at Wembley. Roger said it was the hardest physically for him to do, Deacy is bopping to his bass, and Freddie is everywhere, running all over the place and so charismatic it’s impossible to take your eyes off him. It’s amazing! So I hope you come back and do some more Queen soon, I’ll be looking forward to it

At the time of Live Aid I was serving in the British Royal Marine Commandos in a refugee camp in Ethiopia. We listened to it on the radio. We were surrounded by the full horror of the Famine, but when Queen came on the radio those poor soles who were there even reacted in a very positive way. I remember that a lot of us Royal Marine Commandos were crying watching some of the children dancing along, I'm teary eyed just remembering. I looked around at men I had fought alongside, who were tough, hardened Royal Marine Commandos who had fought a life and death war against Argentinian's in 82. By the end of Queen's set we were dancing with the children. It went along way to help build their trust in us. The famine is only one of many terrible memories I have from 34 years of active service, and 2 years hospitalisation. But when I remember the smiles on the children's faces, and their laughter at the terrible way we danced always reminds me that humanity will always find it's way through even the worst of times. I only watched it for the first time last year, my son put it on the TV. A lot of memories came back and a lot of tears. My amazing Wife took me to see Queen at Wembley, U.K., in 1986 two weeks after I got back from Ethiopia as a surprise. I saw Queen live 6 times in all, they were incredible live. And yes, I am an old fart.

All tribute songs are written by Queen for example ONE VISION (inspired by MLK speech) SOMEBODY TO LOVE (inspired by Aretha Franklin) LIFE IS REAL (tribute to John Lennon) CRAY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE (tribute to Elvis). The Live Aid performance is a 20 min set of perfection. Each artist was given the same amount of time ..... but Queen’s performance went down in rock history as the best!! Freddie Mercury will always remain the King of Queen. Best rockstar ever, he is a gift. However, another singer is walking along his lines and his name is Dimash Kudaibergen, he is a singer from Kazakhstan. Freddie would have been very proud of Dimash, had the former still been alive. I would suggest you should check him out too.

There is an Elvis impersonator who does sing Crazy Little Thing Called Love but it is Freddie's song and Elvis never sang it. It is confusing. Though even when this song first came out, I just automatically thought it was Elvis and was surprised to find out it was Queen. Number 1 song on US charts for several weeks. Super fun to sing along with. Brian plays three different guitars on this song and he nails them all.

The songs we will rock you and we are the champions are very famous in Malaysia, especially in school, because we like to play the melody of we will rock you using the table, and the song we are the champions will usually be sung during sports events

  • @CharlesPhillips-no3sz

Wow..........y'all really need to dive into the treasure trove of Queen's music. THE most influential Rock Band of all time. To not know that they did "We Will Rock You" and "We are the Champions" not to mention "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" makes me wonder what you DO know about Queen. Check out AMAZING songs 'Another One Bites the Dust", "Killer Queen", "Fat Bottom Girls", "Love of my Life", "Bicycle Race", "You're My Best Friend", "Don't Stop me Now", "Radio Ga Ga" (Studio version), "Seven Seas of Rhye"....and so many more. Time to do research, Ladies !!!

Crazy little thing called love was written by Freddie and was a tribute to Elvis. It’s why he sounds similar to him in the song instead of his normal showing off his legendary vocal abilities.

He wrote his on music, sang, played the Piano & Guitar, had crowd control on an Epic level. Was the OG Extrovert. Invented the OG Power Stance. AND Each member of Queen has their own college degree. Brian May earned his PhD in astrophysics in 2007. Freddie Mercury had a degree in graphic art and design. John Deacon has a degree in Electronics, and Roger Taylor has a bachelor's degree in biology

Concidering the fact that 'Crazy little thing called love' was released in 1979, two years after Elvis died, I'm pretty sure no one have hear that song with Elvis.
It was however written as a tribute to Elvis, by Mercury.
