A year in agony | Pre OP | MPFL & TTO

Hey everyone,
Welcome back to my channel for a bonus mid-week video! Something a bit different in today's video, I keep mentioning my physical disability without explaining it so I thought I'd do that now! I’m sharing my personal journey of waiting a whole year for a pre-operative assessment. As an autistic individual, this wait has been particularly challenging, and I want to give you an honest look at what I've been through.
In this video, I’ll cover:
The initial diagnosis and the long wait for the pre operative assessment.
What was included in my pre op appointment
How living with increased chronic pain for the last year has impacted my daily life.
The emotional and psychological toll this journey has taken on me.
Things I’ve faced as an autistic person in navigating the healthcare system.
Coping strategies and support systems which have helped me through this difficult time.
The surgeries I will be having: MPFL & TTO // Medial Patellofemoral Ligament & Tibial Tubercle Osteotomy
