You didn't mention that only Cellular iPads have built in GPS, which is a must when you use it to operate your drone. It enables you to set the homepoint based on your precise position - it can save you a drone in some situations.

One reason I like having a cellular iPad is if I’m doing a long road trip and I want to watch a movie or CZcams, I don’t have to turn on a hotspot, and If I’m in a hotel room, I don’t have to ask or pay for wifi. Also nice if you’re a driver, you can pull up Google Maps or Waze and plan your route.

My iPad mini 4 used to be on cellular, but when I switched carriers I never got it connected. I don't seem to miss it at all. You make some good points, but you expect more out of your iPad than I do. Most of the time my iPad is on my home wifi network, or on something like Starbucks wifi network, and it work greats. And even using the Hotspot on my phone, it's fine. And I'm sure if T-Mobile has the same data limits as Verizon does while using HotSpot.

Does your home button also sound a bit weird. It's like when you click it down and it travels back up i makes a pretty loud sound. I returned the first iPad and got this new one, but they sounded exactly the same.
I have uploaded a video on my channel, if you want to hear the specific sound.

Great video...you covered all the key considerations for general use. For drone pilots another consideration/advantage of LTE is always having access to Google maps for flying. Obviously you can pre-load your maps from home with WiFi but I've found myself having to fly in a different location then I originally planned because of conflicts (field is in use...soccer game in play) and as a result not having the Google Maps that I needed pre-loaded on my Tablet. Yes I could use the tethering feature to download the maps to my tablet (assuming I'm not over my tethering data limit) or simply use my phone to fly instead but that's not always convenient to do so (e.g., my FlightPlan only exists my Tablet).
