Yellowjackets Bonus Episode Update | Cabin & the Hunter What We Know So Far

- Yellowjackets season 3 is on the horizon and with the WGA strike now over writing should begin soon. It has been confirmed by the Yellowjackets Showrunners there will be a bonus episode airing before season 3 starts. In my last video I theorized on what that bonus episode might be about. After doing some further investigation, I believe the bonus episode will be about the history of the cabin and the hunter. Join me in this video as I dive into what we know so far about both the cabin and hunter, with some speculation as to what we may see in the Yellowjackets bonus episode.

This is an intriguing show, and I wonder if there is more than Supernatural events taking place along with Scientific because what was once supernatural ended up being science.
First off, the transmitter from the plane crash, the on Misty destroyed would have gone off immediately regardless and it was a private plane so it should have told them, air traffic, that a plane was down, the general location and then a more direct location BEFORE she destroyed it. Also, you can hear the pilot talk about going into Canadian airspace and the Canadians would have also had a location on them as well. ]
Did anyone notice how the pilots reacted the very short amount of time we saw them, looked perplexed as if they count not read their flight plan because it almost seemed that something was pulling it downward and the pilots helpless to do anything. I think it may have been from a powerful electromagnetic force located in that area because someone would have come to look by now, or maybe they are in a different time and space or somewhere where the "realities" were different because of either natural causes or artificial ones that maybe the Canadian government was doing something.
Also, the symbol may be what some called "hiker, drifter or some other kind of symbol that is used to tell other people avoid certain areas and if they are safe. I wonder if the mark was trying to warn people to stay away. There is something there that seems to move time and space differently and I would like to know if that is part of it.
The supernatural reasons, well they can still occur and it might be why the "hunter" was in that area for all those years ago trapped and almost seeming to want to get the girl's attention somehow to tell them how they can get out because he probably knows about the strange occurrences.
Sorry that this is so long, but I have small theories and I want to given them as much info that I can so it's more understandable. But, I always thought somethings were going on there.
I hope we get this, I need that backstory on the cabin for sure and Arah you should watch "The Changeling" it's a dark fairy tale for adults and it's so fucking good! Witches, the fae, wishes, glamour, possession, baby snatchers...it has much and more ASOIAF vibes and you'd love it!
That would be so interesting. Not sure which "The Changeling" you are talking about because there is a new series and there was a very spooky and effects lite excellent movie from 1980 or 81. You can find it here if you want to look. I'm still going with the science and supernatural in conjunction with some questions that maybe the hunter voluntarily stayed there to chase or warn others a way.
If it's the series, it rocked and I wonder how many have ever read about Norwegian mythology because they have the most mythology regarding trolls.

This background story about the cabin better be relevant as hell for the main plot because now that the cabins burnt and it’s been 8 months since last season aired, I’m starting to feel less curious about the cabin if it’s not going to be important for season 3. My edge-of-my-seat intrigue about the cabin started burning away when the cabin did, so if this is just extra details to make seasons 1 and 2 more interesting in retrospect, they may have missed the boat for it to have the impact they want and need it to.
Agreed. If the bonus chapter is finally aired and it is about the Hunter, we could see what's the deal with the cabin and the land, and it could be interesting "for us", but i really don't see how the girls are going to know about this... and how it will afect them if this was the past.. It could be like a vision from Lottie or something like that, but it seems way too weird or far-fetched. Also, if we do know the story, and the girls don't, it misses the point.. we know what the girls know and that's the interesting thing about the story.
I belive if they release the bonus chapter and it is about Hunter, it will be detached from the series and probably will be promote as something apart.
@@Maga-22 ya exactly. Detached is a great word for what I’m worried this episode will feel like. My fear is that they will make it a complete one-off bottle episode, and still try to play their usual game of “is there something supernatural going on or not?” And won’t actually show us anything definitive. At least this way, we don’t learn anything that the girls don’t know, but that will also mean that we don’t gain anything from watching the bonus episode as an audience except an hour of entertainment loosely connected to this show we haven’t thought about in months. Thats the worst of all worlds because then the only point of the bonus episode existing is that it exists. Not that we learn more about the world the show is set in, not that we get context for the crazy thing happening to the girls, just a self contained story that adds value for the main plot on rewatches of seasons 1 and 2. I’m hoping they blow us all away with at least one reveal that changes the rules for next season, and that we won’t know we wanted this episode until after we see it and then say “why was I ever worried, these writers know what Theyr doing.” It just seems like with the strike and the 9 episode season 2, that making this episode come out so far away from the actual season was not an intentional choice
The now a days is the gap between new seasons. That Is a huge problem and why we need 24 ep seasons Iike we did in the 90s and 2000s

I’ve came up with a theory for what’s happening out there I’ve always thought of whatever’s out there as “the hungry one”….that symbol represents it…something from Native American beliefs possibly? The symbol was placed on lands claimed by this entity….it can claim locations and even people and the native Americans avoided these areas once they knew it belonged to it (hence the carvings…meant to be a warning) anyone within the immediate vicinity of these places or people are made to suffer if the entity is not appeased (with blood) hence why maybe unfortunate events keep happening out there (plane crash, no game, etc) or why the people close to the women in the current timeline seem to always suffer in some way or another….but idk there’s holes in this too…idk where the man with no eyes comes into play and why he’s only seen by Tai (and her family apparently) or also why it just started messing with them again 25 years later either unless it had enough blood to be appeased for that long it’s hard to say….also the carvings kinda seem….newish? Idk lol this is why I love this show lol really gets you thinking and theorizing lol what do you guys think?

It really is an intersting theory. I also keep asking myself.. why "the wilderness" waited 25 years to "attack again" ?? I know the show goes back and fort with .. it really exist "the thing" or they are just disturbed people who sees things in their heads, like a community hallucination, due to trauma and now are "bad people". I personally believe that last option it is far away from us now.. because what are the chances that Travis dies, and Jeff decides to scare all the women, bringing them back together, Nat dying instead of Shauna because it seems, it was not Shauna's time yet.
Probably is the combination of both things, but the show can go anywhere from here.
I also think the carvings are new, like the cabin guy made them not long ago.

There's a moment on ep 8 of season 2 that Taissa asks Van if she ever thought she "would be back here", they are at Lottie's cult, so is the cult in the same forest? why she asked Van if she ever thought she would be back there??

Random theory:
The simbol mark the heat tunnels under the trees that Javi and Ben founded. And i believe they escape the forest one way or another, i don't know how they would be found by accident by some other people, so maybe know that the simbol means, it is the key to escape.
The question is how "The other Tai" knows this?

I think it’s possible due to how Drogon carried her off heading east. We also know the Red Hand is still out there and strong so I wouldn’t be surprised if they brought Kinvara back for that
