- Restoration of an old and rusty truck from the 1960's. I found this Triang Hi Way Tipper truck from the 1960's at a junk sale. It had a wheel cap missing and a melted screen. I decided to make a new wheel cap but couldn't find a new window so I had to make do and try and straighten it with hot water. Its not perfect but sometimes, you gotta make do. Hope you enjoy the restoration.

Not only do you do an incredible restoration on this truck but you make a new wheel hub? Absolutely ingenious mate. Most restorers would have used a hydraulic press.. You use a vice. Wait while I pick my jaw up off the floor. 🇦🇺👍
Thanks bud, Its all I had lol
Holy smokes! That really came out nice bud. The candy green and white cab really stands out nicely. Nice solid construction, built ( and restored ) to last. They sure don't make toy's like that anymore. Great job!
Thanks bud.
The way you created the wheel cap was impressive. Great job. I learn a lot from you.
Beautiful restoration and great music selection!
Thanks!!!
Glad you like it!
Your powder coat over gets a real workout when you refurbish these old toy trucks. Nice job again Martin. Thumbs Up!

Well done Martin you would not believe that was the same toy
Better than original 👍👌
As the old Bernard Matthews ad used to say---BOOTIFUL job Martin as always, and a really cunning trick with the missing wheel trim. (You are saving our---and probably your---sanity with these videos in these trying times.) Thanks for sharing pal.
Thanks bud.
You my friend are a steely eyed fabricating genius. Loved the hubcap fabrication. The candy green isn’t to shabby either. Awesome build! 👌👌👌👌

Beautiful Martin. I which I had your luck with candy colours. I did a candy gold key for someone at work. It looked more like toffee apple. I did him another colour.
Very well done!
Thanks Jeff
WOW, very intelligent making the dimple for the wheel cover.
This is why we have to keep those buckets of random nuts bolts springs and screws. You never know when you will need that special part.

Beautiful paint. Awesome job. Thank you for your great work
I always stamp small sheet metal parts in the same way. You want a third hand for the vice. I have built a device to hold the stamp and the die.
As always, you did a perfect job. Not only your hub cap looks great.

Ooo that end song was a bit northern soul-ish, resisting slapping the lino mat down and some talc for some proper burning torch Wigan casinoery action ;) Used to love them all nighters, Camber Sands "weekenders" and the various do's at the Pink Toothbrush down for'n parts where they support a strange football team wearing pink n blue hehehe Got to say that candy and chrome look is awesome, I have tasked my daughters if anyone up in Scotland is giving away a free oven to nab it and will do the same as you did with a large filing cabinet, wonder if you can powdercoat a whole Reliant... (turns garage into giant drive in powder coat oven...) or cats...
Haha, The colour was a great match Ian, Gotta love a bit of Northern Soul.
You're an artist. Beautiful. Binge watching you. Thanks.
Thanks Martin you and your family stay safe and be lucky always
