- Just showing one of those jobs.
A job that isn't hard but gets overlooked and a lot of airheads are running around with worn out bearings on the shifter.
I bought all parts required at
www.MAXBMW.com
They still offer free shipping on orders over $99.

Thanks for the video. Very helpful.
Merci beaucoup pour le partage 👍
"facilitate this" , "just a smidge" - alles klaas, Vilen danke.
On the selector connecteur to avoid entering of water and dirt you have 2 small rubber cushions to close the openings that you have not 😅 this will help to hold the grease in side the caps
Could use an o ring both sides to contain grease and keep water out.
@@johnutting9615 yes will work maybe not as good as original parts but will do the job
what is part number for bearing and bolt? What parts group does it come under at Max BMW? Thanks.
23 13 1 238 422 this is the part # from MaxBMW.
And why not use a socket or ring spanner on the nut ?
Sure, whatever works for you. The pliers I am using are actually an adjustable wrench and work great to hold onto a nut.
I see you are working on my ex-wife's R65 again!
Let's say still. It has been in my garage for a while. Getting close to getting it of the lift. It runs great just has some age related flaws, cracking rubber pieces, leaking forks old tires etc .. i also gave the heated grip wiring a once over. No other major issues.
. @@HeikosGarage Cool! The heated grips work great. I really liked the switch position I put in.
