Here's a titbit...I met Tom Jones in a little bar in Printers Alley Nashville, TN in and around 2004 (it was a little private get together) I was surprised when the bar's owner at the time invited me over hearing TOM JONES WOULD BE THERE...I sat with him at his table for about two hours along with two other men which I assumed was his bodyguards.. We spoke quite a bit about some good stuff and he made jokes constantly. He was funny and very down to earth with an underlying ego of course. He got up on the little stage in the bar and together with some musician friends of mine he sang a few songs. His voice blew me almost of the stage. The power ...it's not everyday a singer such as that comes along. Perfectly on key, no flat spots. He was an absolute pleasure to play with.

@@malcolmdrake6137 - As a male I can say that all females melted when he was on the radio. My mom and aunties were more than giddy. Later, on his TV show, the audience was mainly women. This came even before Beatle mania, which was more young girls. For Tom it was the adult women who blushed when Tom was mentioned. Weekly magazines had articles about the phenomenon. The throwing of panties onto the stage started with Tom Jones.

A very nice person, in person. Ran across him at an airport in Dallas. Women were swarming him still as he was being ushered through the airport. He stopped and took pictures and signed autographs till his plane was leaving. We were in line together to board and he refused being pre-boarded even though he was first class. I go to talk to him and I think he was embarrassed by all of the attention when he had been a super star for so many years. He was very nice to me. About 15 years older but I loved his music. We just made small talk. I thought he was taller but we were the same height (I'm 5' 11"). Anyway, super nice guy. He was meeting his wife of many years in Atlanta then on to NY. Cool to find a nice guy that's been married to the same woman, a superstar and has no ego.

It's good that you have discovered Tom Jones, he indeed has a powerful voice, and as you say expresses emotion so well. You may have reacted to a cover of one of his songs. Angelina Jordan sang "I who have nothing" - aged 6 in the school recording studio. Angelina gave a credible rendition, showing the power and emotion as per Tom Jones. Perhaps you can compare the two. Just think, Tom Jones does still sing, if the two of them could sing a duet - that would be something to see! If you are looking for new artists to react to, you could try Shirley Bassey, another Welsh singer - famous for the James Bond theme, Diamonds are forever (yet another song covered by Angelina Jordan....)

Hi Marie.Try this one, he sang this with the son of the writer of this song on The Voice. "Sir Tom Jones & Peter Donegan's 'I'll Never Fall In Love Again' |Blind Auditions| The Voice UK 2019". Not bad for an 80 Year old.

Sir Tom Jones is currently a judge on The Voice Britain. There are many CZcams vids of him singing on the show. He's every bit as good, if not better, singer at 80!!!
This guy auditioned for the Voice Britain. Sir Tom recognized his name and asked him if he knew the person who wrote this song, that was a major hit for him. "Of course I know him, I'm his son". This clip is the impromptu result.....

The BBC orchestra in those days were spot on, the changing instruments and just a little backing just flowed along with his powerful vioce, I have heard the recorded version but this was by far the best version and it's live. Thank you. 🌹

Yeah, he recently served as a judge on one of the talent judges on one of the singing competition television shows. A year or two ago he got up and sang on stage during one of the shows and still has an amazing voice and power. Tom Jones is a world wide treasure in the music industry.

Welcome to discovering one of the greatest singing legends of the English-speaking world. Tom has continued to produce hit after hit after hit throughout his career and even into the 21st century. He is timeless, ageless, and almost peerless. He has performed with nearly every great name in music over the last 60 years. If you want to know what he sounds like today, he's been a judge on The Voice UK for at least ten years. Just look him up. He even sang this very song on The Voice UK about 2 years ago. ago. At 80 years old, he sings as beautifully and powerfully as ever.

Thank you Marie. He had his own TV show back in the 1960's. I remember watching his show when I was a kid. Queen Elizabeth II knighted him. So he is formally known now as Sir Tom Jones. I would love to see more Tom Jones reactions.

Yeah wow, and that guy still has that power in his voice today, yeah today at 80 something years old. If you watch any of his live performances, keep a close eye on the stuff that lands on the stage. It's not all just roses, lol. Actually, you should do a reaction to him singing now. I don't think any of the CZcams channels knows the Tom Jones that sings this song, is the same Tom Jones that's one of the judges on "The Voice". When he sings, man oh man.
Really fun to watch you go through the reaction stages. Thank you again and stay healthy and safe. We'll all get through this eventually.
