You didn't even mention teabagging and flashlight clicking :O
But a couple of serious ones I missed:
proxy camping. Definition: staying in proximity of a hooked survivor.
suiciding. Intentional killing oneself on hook.
Window baiting. The act of faking a vault to bait the killer into attacking.
(Double) backing. Faking going one direction, only to then reverse one's direction. Basically the survivor's version of moonwalking.
Though much less common: tagging. forcing the killer to switch targets mid-chase (often done through one survivor stealthing and the other one running in sight)
Flicking. It's only for some killers and I don't have a clear definition for it, but still worth a mention.
Boop the snoot. I mean, how can you talk about dbd terms without this one? The act of pointing at a Pig's snout.
Dead zone. A space with nothing to loop around. Ór a zone with no available hooks.
God pallet. A pallet a killer is forced to break, because it blocks a path. Generally in straight, narrow paths. Like the balcony pallet on Ormond.
Basement bubba is also just one worth mentioning, cuz it's too iconic.
Urbaning. The act of crouching everywhere, mostly while having the perk urban evasion.
Flashlight/pallet saves. Stunning a killer while they are carrying a survivor, using a flashlight/pallet.
Popping a gen. A killer using pop on a generator. OR the act of completing a gen.
360ing. The act of dodging a killer's attack by running a circle around him/in front of him.
Insta-downing. Dropping a survivor 2 health stages with a single attack.
That's about all I can think of for now. Hope you enjoyed reading this wall of text xD
Anyways, good vid. Very informative for new players and very clearly spoken and well structured! Good job mate!

A newer term that has entered the DBD lexicon are "gifts." This is when a survivor sets their item down in front of the killer as a peace-offering, usually in the endgame after the hatch has been closed. The killer can choose whether to accept the gift or not, but it's generally considered good sportsmanship to respect it and allow that survivor to escape.

As an alternate term to 3-Gen, my friends and I call it “Gen-locked.” In addition, we say “Dead on Hook” instead of Death Hook. In a SWF game, it’s usually said when someone needs to go for the save but you’ve already been hooked twice so you say, “I can’t go for the save, I’m dead on hook.”
Or when the person dead on hook is being chased on a SWF game you can say that to your teammate so they could come body block or lure the killer away.

    • @femkev.5245
      @femkev.5245 Před 3 lety

Slugging becomes toxic when the killer plays a game with the intention to slug from the start of the game and runs a build specifically to do it. That's when it turns into ground camping and it's either abandon your teammate to bleed out or the whole team goes down, which are both bad. That's not strategy, it's abusive behaviour and every killer I've ever played against who has run a slugging build is smug and toxic about it in the chat.
When slugging is used as a strategy to prevent survivors from getting the hatch or to snowball as Oni or Myers, then it's fine in my opinion.

Damn every time I hook anyone I go and check nearest 3-4 gens, sometimes it takes me walking around half the map, and then I go back to hook and somehow often catch the exact unhooking moment, and then the saved guy fucking ALWAYS makes himself a free hit by running in a dead zone or sth, savers get out of sight instantly somehow. Feels like they do it on purpose so they can blame me for camping and tunelling after they lose

Don't think tunneling is toxic all the time if the person is one hook away from dying im not gonna waste hitting 3 other survivors if i can get the one that's one hit away, although if you do it right away for no reason and do it for every survivor to kill them like that, that is kinda toxic

Both. A perfect game is where you get all 4 emblems in the post game lobby iridescent (red), gain 8000 BP in each of the 4 categories to total to 32k without any bonuses from offerings or perks (such as bbq) and get a 4k

Serious question as a killer main, if there are 2 survivors left at the end, 1 of them i notice has been hiding all game (most likely in a locker), if i let the other survivor live for them selling out their scummy teammate is that sandbagging, i think its fair as usually the guy im letting live is on their death hook and the other hasnt even been hit, just wondering though.

    • @mofloflo4843

drop the pallet on the killer for a stun and quickly vault the pallet after the stun is over, if they are spamming the break pallet button, it’ll force them to pick up the downed survivor, quickly vault the pallet back and flashlight save the killer

  • @Nogardtist
    @Nogardtist Před 2 lety

most of these terms are misused cause the survivors are just bad at the game and use it as an poor excuse
i was accused of tunneling and camping but if a survivor makes a lot of noise just few seconds after i hook someone in the basement its their fault or they make bad loops i auto target the closest survivor by default and try to avoid the obvious borrowed time perk unhooks
and slugging if a survivor spam flashlight and tea bags while picking survivor or after its their fault
one survivor accused a killer of cheating but i pointed it out it was a scratched mirror myres if you dont know myres has an addon that makes you see survivors aura at any time with no limit at a limited range and the downside of having it is you cant stack your stacks and probably move slowly

So, it's toxic to facecamp but not genrush?
Like, as a main killer myself (kinda new), the only real way to put pressure on the match (normally when two or three gens are already done w/ only 1 or 2 hooks is to facecamp. It generall forces the other survivors to try and unhook them and therefore, no gens are really made
Ofc it sucks and is horrible in min 1 of the match, but, can you blame de killers when in 99% of the matches they get genrushed and then t-bagged by survivors at the exit gate?
