Yeah I see your point, it’s a cool feature, but maybe since Eden’s power is loose, the skykids are weaker and the crystals make it difficult to walk, so maybe it is only present during the season.
A couple things: 1. Make sure you do *NOT* skip the cutscene where the rescued WL is waving to you. If you do *NOT* skip the cut scene, you get an _extra_ 0.25 ascended candle. 2. Make sure you *WALK* through the gate to be reborn. If you *WALK* , you get an _extra_ WL for your cape. Please let others know this in your future Eden videos.
@@Ishoulddeletethis Reliving spirits does not give you winged light. Reliving spirits gifts you an emote (or candle if it is a task that day). You do need to recollect the winged light (WL) or shiny bois (as some call them) though. However, in Eden, you should be using your ascended candles to buy wing buffs in the constellations to get permanent winged light (from which you can add the WL of the realm and keep compounding light higher and higher).
You know, after seeing the wall paintings in Eden, I have a theory, where Eden is the highest area even higher than the vault, and hits the sky, so I think the whole the sky kingdom made a deal where they planned to create a kingdom in Eden, but it seems the project was stopped, maybe because they found a red stone in Eden and I think it also hurt the spirits so they canceled the project and maybe researched the red crystal, after it was canceled I think Eden had become a dumping ground for existing waste in wasteland
in fact Eden was previously known as the holy land, it was the purest place in the world of sky, but when trying to take refuge from the darkness they ended up bringing it there, unleashing a storm,and leaving King Allef locked up after being completely consumed by darkness
That mural is very interesting, it implies that the large Diamond at the very end of Eden used to be just like the ones the Elder’s have. Each one we meet has their own smaller version, the Forest and Vault elders shows us theirs. And from the mural, it looks like the Diamond was once used by the King to give light or power their Kingdom. Im reminded of the facility from Season of Abyss where its been theorized that they tried extracting light from light creatures(mantas, whales, etc). Perhaps the Diamond ran out of light to give, so now its spewing out darkness because thats all it has left? Maybe thats why that facility was built, to find a way to gather more light or rekindle the Diamond’s fading light? or find a new source altogether?
Honestly, aside from the crawling, I think the changes do make it more of a challenge! I like that they added more lightspots especially. But yeah… they should probably get rid of the crawling after this season.
Yes poor moths. Also, I wished they didn't turn off our ability to deep honk to recharge friends or anyone nearby that we have lighted before entering eden. It'll be hard to go alone in this season 😩
Thanks for sharing all this information with us! I found something that might help when you're crawling on the floor. If you deep call a couple of times the crystals on your body disappear and you'll be able to stand up again. After some time you should be back to how it was before the update. Without light but standing normally I hope this helps!
Yes Noobie we do 💀It is nearly one year for me and I still get confused on statues we need clean statues locations video like you did with wing lights trust me it will help lots of us please do the lighting areas in that part too🥰
Yeah…that hideout at 21:39- a bunch of players hogged this light when me and my bf did Eden yesterday- we crawled for our dear lives to this spot and they refused to budge to let us recharge lol. Really bad planning by tgc since there’s no other “hideout” with lights after this that can hold two players or more either- everyone congregates here.
The new update really sucks 😭 saw a pair of veterans doing a run & one died so my friend went to help. Solo runners (me included) might want to rethink going with friends. Or better yet- not going at all. 🧘🏻♀️
I lost six WL... I had one person with me so it wasn't even a solo event. Did you know that if you are downed, you are automatically kicked from your friend's hand?
Yea ! 1. Day I go with friends to eden 2. Day I go again with one moth XD 3. I go again but I couldn't give light but what 3 statues were together they change poses and holding each other like football team in circle It's my favourite poses on eden
We need more "skips" at the end. I'm tired of the flying sequence. We should be able to skip all the way to the ascended candles part. I'm sorry, but I don't care about flying through the spirits or friends for lights, I have a ton of candles. It wrecks me that we don't have the option with such a long sequence.
I don’t mind most of the flying section but the last stretch when you fly up towards the castle is soooooo bad! 4 out of 5 times I find myself “off” the path, out of light, and becoming a dot on the horizon. Then I have to fly all the way back, recharge, reposition myself, and try again. Heaven help my sanity if that doesn’t work. I’ve been at that part for a good 20 minutes some runs. It really kills the whole mood and is really unfun.
@@StitchdTeeth yes! Instead of flying through the center and skating down. Stick to teh left side when you come out of the black room, there’ll be a grated window of sorts that you can pass through and from there just go straight up. It’s still a bit of a pain flying all the way up to the spirits but it’s a bit faster than usual
Thank you for this new Eye of Eden guide. This looked incredibly difficult to do now the mechanics have drastically changed. So to show everything as best as you could despite it all is very helpful & appreciated.
Here's a great thing about one of the updates to me, the last part before the part of no return, like where that one krill is at, i got hit by a boulder once and I turned to crystal(/crystals forms on my avatar) and i was in the area where the krill could see me but, he flew over me, so I can really use that to an advantage to not get seen by the krill. I also if it helps, before the update, i would stay behind a piller and wait about 5-10 minutes trying to find a time to go. It could be the fact i play on switch idk
Am the only one that finds eden with switch controls kinda weird/hard ? U do not have as much control to your sky kid as on a phone its so frustrating i didnt touch eden for months bc of that one krill

My theory about this is that we have to save the elder of Eden, cause in the vault cutscene we’re shown a terrifying looking giant elder stuck in the mountain Eden is on. Perhaps they got corrupted and that corruption spread? It would answer why the big crystal looks like a light node that the other elders use to power themselves when we give them our light.
Hiya! I just wanted to make a comment about the end rebirth process! When you are flying up into the stars there has been a small change, you can now look back/down as you fly upwards giving you a truly beautiful view
Okay, I wish that when your in the crawl mode you would still be able to use your candle to light things so you actually can heal but now all my potions are gonna be used TwT
I cant be the only one that feels like this update is just unnecessary right? The previous update of the winds being stronger and loosing more wl when getting hit was already pretty tough but this is just a whole other level of hard. I think this would just prevent people from going into Eden at all and just relying on the season events. I feel like moths would have an extremely hard time and probably wont even be able to reach 10 statues as they wont know they'd have to head towards the lights and wouldn't understand the shards. Its also just a nightmare for solo players. I dunno, I just think that this benefits no one :/

Yeah, I started playing a week ago and when I got to eden I didn't know what tf is going on or what ur suppose to do because they don't tell you anything, so i just died and i got like 2 ascended candles and I don't really see the point in playing more. Good game tho i like the flying mechanic
I did the eden today and it was even easier in some parts?? I love the new end area. You have light and cover. It was much less overwhelming than the long run through neverending rain which always caused me a feeling of helplessness. This time I was just more cautious not to get to crawling too early. At least for the most part of eden you feel like it really depends on your skills not on the number of WL you have. And with props defending you from krills I even decided not to shortcut. Seeing 1st half of eden in a long time was nice. I think I honestly like the atmosphere there. What is sad is - still no skip button for all end cutscenes. It takes so loooooong to be reborn. You cannot even jump now in death room. In the end I got all statues except one I guess? (? Judging by the fact I got a little over 15 ac). BUT this is with 170 WL. So fo new players the ending crowling area will be out of reach truly since when you no longer have light source - you loose WL s with a speed of light now. One loose of light in the beginning cost me like 20 wl lmao. Thank God the "u can do nothing but die" area is now much smaller.

That part from 3:40 up to 4:00 is different as well.... at that point, we could already be hit by the rocks right after the animation. Now there is a little space before the pain begins :D
i met a player at the beginning at the gate and went through all the way to the eye of eden and really hard a hard time yesterday, i even found it out before watching this video :( didn't finished all of the statues and it was really frightening for me as a 2 months old player... it's quite really shattering but at the same time challenging and fun :)
Eden doesn't look like it's going to be as difficult as I thought it would, but I still have some questions. 1. If you lose your light in the first or second part of eden (before point of no return) do you crawl or does it work like before? 2. If you place a prop in a place where it isn't destroyed by rocks and you lose all your light, will it disappear? 3. In 30:00 you said you could choose if you wanted to stay and wait for your friend or keep going, how do you choose to keep going? I thought you had to stay there until your friend lost all lights. 4. In 34:02 you said that you got 93 winged lights, including postman and black cape tier 2. Does unlocking the part of the spirit tree where you can get tier 2 capes gives you another winged light in orbit? Or do you need to buy the cape? Sorry for making all those questions. 1. its been updated so that you are stopped to a crawl, its shown in the first part of the video! 2. besides the prop getting destroyed by debris and krill, they should only disappear if you leave the area. thats how its always been, but it’s possible that it couldve been changed, though it doesnt look like it has :0 3. a pop up should appear where you can click yes or no 4. only the first unlocked winged light and the item directly after it in a spirit tree counts. So no, you dont get another winged light if you unlock the 2nd tier and you dont need the last cape(for example tier 2 capes) to fully unlock a spirit and their friendship tree!
@@solarenoi For the fourth point, Every wingbuff counts as a winged light. So yes!! It will be converted as winged light hence the total is 198 winged lights
I keep thinking that large pipe the birds are going into would be a great shortcut. Just add a spirit gate to it, put in a high number of spirits, then bam, you got a time-saver through Eden. It could simply spit you out in the hallway right before Eden, but you need to avoid the several Krills that patrol the pipeline, peering their spotlight through the open holes of the pipe, but you can make it through no problem.
I’ve had the statue locations memorized for ages… oh well At least most of them haven’t been moved very far, so my old pattern will probably still mostly work for the first section
Thank you for the informative walkthrough. Disclaimer: My following salty thoughts have nothing to do with you. See, I don't hate this update, but I certainly don't like it either. I mean if the only way you can make it through is props and spells (which not every player has), that's kinda silly if we can't make it through based on our own skill. I don't see the point in not having the torch areas later on if they're also going to have the cover areas. Might as well, it's not like the area isn't challenging even with them included. I just did Eden unaware of the update and got stumped at the end where my and a friend were just crawling through the last section giving away our ever dwindling wl bc we kept getting beamed by rocks in a supposed "safe" hideaway and just got annoyed even trying anymore. In general they need to make the hideaways more consistently effective before adding more difficulty in Eden. Shouldn't be standing in a hideaway and then all of a sudden get beamed by a rock and stunlocked until I lose a wl for no reason.
To be entirely honest, i dont really have much of a problem with the eden changes. Its mildly annoying but i dont really think it makes a massive difference as long as you know what you’re doing.
New player, did the new Eden on my fourth run, and the changes made it kind of easier to get to the last twenty statues. Sure, you get punished harder for getting hit, but if you're careful, you can go pretty far even without 200 WL or a lot of props and potions.
Ohhh, that's what those little blue lights that follow me around are! I've been doing Eden alone the last couple of times, but have encountered strangers doing it at the same time too, and have had a couple of those blue lights follow me around. One of them actually lit me up again in an occasion I was with no light and the nearby lamp was off. I just stayed there, thinking what to do next, and then somehow I had one wing bar and was able to light the lamp. On another note, does the no-rain glitch still work? I didn't know about it until like two days ago, but Eden has already changed, so idk if it's outdated or what. Thank you for the video, it was very informative!
The crawling just sucks since if you get hit and lose your light before you get to the end/constant rock rain, it'll probably tank your chances of getting all 63
I don't know but my heart aches so much seeing this.. I hope new players won't discourage seeing the new changes. The game is also getting more serious and seems like there's no rest anymore.. I wanna be able to play freely like before, without having to worry about how many candles that I have to lose for the next event. ☹
Don't worry. We wont. I'm just glad there are more accessible statues now. I never complete the endless rain part ànyway. And I only ever go to Eden now if I accidentally lose a lot of wL (afk, krilling, etc). This way I can just collect every wL.
It really depends on your own play style. If you want to relax and rest, simply don't go to Eden and you don't have to get all the cosmetics. After awhile you don't even really need the ACs except to buy things.
I am a new player and I just finished first eye of eden run a week ago, it wasn't that much of a problem. I was rather devastated that I died without knowing YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DIE. I was absolutely crushed then the cutscene plays, and you emerge back. it was a rollercoaster of emotions. I ain't even mad. the experience was phenomenal. I didn't know you have to deposit the light into the statues so I didn't get ACs but it's fine, I tried eoe run for experience and i don't care much about costumes anyway.
I always see that stone where the queen/king/god was standing when going out of the mouth of the volcano hahahaha sorry i don't know some terms used in sky
thats fine haha its not really a volcano though, we can see the true form of it in the next season and also when you approach the sand dunes in the last area of Eden, as well as in the mural. From what we can gather, i think its safe to say it was once a diamond that used to give light to everyone in the Kingdom of Sky, just like how every Elder we has their own smaller version of the diamond. Im lead to believe that maybe, perhaps, the King or Queen used too much and the diamond ran out of light, so now its shooting out darkness because thats all that left

I don't really mind the new update for the most part, but I do rather dislike the crawl feature, especially when it comes to No Return and getting AC. Like, we die for these candles, at least make it less grueling to aquire them, I don't wanna crawl around for what feels like half an hour getting whacked by flying rocks while tearing my own life source out to give to statues only to get a few more candles and a long cutscene. I can imagine the update is worse for new players who don't have as much light to spare. Otherwise I don't have any issues, except that sometimes butterflies kidnap you when you try to honk to knock over crabs, which isn't so fun.

i feel like i'm the only moth that LOVES eden. it's one of my favourite levels and i have to actively hold myself back from playing it the minute it allows me in the gate 🤣 my first entire run of the game was done in 5 hours (this was after booting it up for the first time at 12 am on the 27th) and i went into each area pretty much immediately upon "finishing" the previous ones (which left a ton unnoticed by me until i found some maps oops) so i think i had abt 20-21 wl that time and did very well. the run i went on just yesterday (my 3rd eden run on jan 1st at about 2 am) i had smth like 76 wl and i got all bodies(?) but the last 6. i don't find eden to be particularly difficult or scary, but it does seem to take some tuning to the environment to make it around unscathed. maybe that's where the pattern hound autism comes in lmao

technically i started playing Sky a year ago but i had barely played it (hadnt even gotten to eden) and only recently got back into it and now im into it bigtime. Youre videos are SUPER helpful! But in spite of all the research I do I'm just really sad the game is so... i guess not new-user friendly? the game itsself gives close to no instruction on anything and 90% of what ive learned about this game is purely through talking to ppl in-game and youtube videos. And Eden is so hard and I feel like from your video here it sounds like it used to be HARDER? It feels impossible to get any decent number of ascended candles and thats not even counting the fact of you can only do eden once a week apparently(?), so it feels like even if i grinded the game nonstop for a year i still wouldnt be able to complete every ancestor spirit's constellation thing from every different world, I really hope the developmental team makes it easier or gives us a bit more of a reason to want to play bc the idea of doing all that grinding of the game and still getting nowhere is sadly really off-putting :( not to mention how near impossible to get hearts it is, only sending between friends and then the Very Limited number you get from ancestor spirits using candles. idk i think maybe im hoping im misunderstanding and sky really isnt that unwelcoming to new players who do wanna get more into it
I don't think it matters much that it's getting harder especially for moths. You don't exactly lose anything by dying except your own time. The wls are free to take and overtime your need of ACs also lessens. Then there's the falling rock event thing that will stay even after season ends.
Honestly, to me it's more about narrative (and time) than difficulty, and I don't like the changes. Before, you would struggle, plan, spend time hiding, try to *survive* in the first half, and then you get to the constant rain, which is the second half of the level... and suddenly you get a feeling, that maybe survival isn't an option you have. So you run, fall, get up to fall again under the constant rain, slowly realising, that survival has *never* been an option. Whatever you've ever done couldn't lead you anywhere but to your death. So you crawl to your end, trying to do as much good as you can, while you can. It's a very beautiful metaphor I loved very much. Now they kinda... made this more gradual, deviding the second half into two parts, but now the constant rain part is too short for me. Instead we waste even more time hiding, and then the crawling animation turns the most meaningful last bit into a tedious labor, that demands to have Benny Hill Show's theme as it's background music. I'm not that conservative and I welcome changes, when they're good, but these ones are painfully... clumsy, I'd say. I hope tgc will work more on them. Thank you for keeping us informed!
I did eden solo and it took a lot longer than before (mostly because of the waiting for the pause in rock fall and the crawling) but 15 AC is still doable. Just takes a bit more time.
I did Eden as soon as I got it updated and somehow managed to get most of the statues anyway I lost my last WL when I was just a few feet away from the statue at the sand hill 💀
Eden looks so much more darker than it was before, all the red that was once part of the clouds and everything around it is now a mix of blacks, greys and browns, it’s only the red crystals- 👀

What if eden was a kingdom for all darkness and all the light creatures had to bow down to the king, but in the season of shattering they stopped respecting the king of darkness and he attacked the kingdom of sky. BUT HEY, THATS JUST A THEORY!
I did eden last week and it was pretty easy at the last part where the red crystal dont take a break. But it wouldve been even easier if SKY WOULD TAKE THAT CRAWLING AWAY AND WHEN I GET HIT I ALWAYS LOOSE ATLEAST 5 WL, like cmon tgc i thought this game was suppossed to make me feel relaxed and comfortable👽
Ugh I used to like going to Eden, not that I needed ac but I think the vibe was super cool and thrilling. Now with the crawling animation it's more frustrating than difficult getting to the end.
Crawling animation makes Eden look WAY more gruesome like "eyo ive been treading on sharp boulders and glass this whole time, so gimme a humanistic animation for it and a break yeah?"
I thought I still had 2 Sundays worth of Eden runs since Season of Shattering will start by July 11... I won't be logging in anymore then. Maybe someday once they return Sky to the relaxing game I once knew...
As a solo player I don’t understand why people hate this so much? It adds so much more emotion to Eden and added difficulty without it being impossible… I easily got 10AC on my very first run (before I even saw this video) and I loved it! Sure, it’s a shame we can’t jump, but I love how connected they made it to other players as you help each other along, and also providing things for solo players like letting us use the light props and instant recharge spells! Like I genuinely don’t get why people are upset… sure it’s more difficult but that adds to the whole experience in my opinion! :D can’t wait for Season of Shattering!!!
They should make a stealth season at that you learn the ability to crawl and even after the season be able to use it ANYWHERE on the map because dam that lookin good
Ok you know what, eden is more annoying and a lot harder to get all the statues in one run, however its more reliable with more areas to hide behind so it is easier to not get hit, and the shard event means there will be other ways of getting more AC per week, so im actually more than happy for this! Makes eden more intense and intimidating as a final climax for the game
Wow! The update came out six months ago?! Woah, I didn’t realise it has been so long 😂 I was almost at the last statue and because I was crawling I lost my last winged light, sad times 😭 But next time I go to Eden I’m on a mission for the last statue!
I think it was better when you had to deep call/honk to relight your friends since Sky is a game about friends, now you are less dependent on your friends helping you and more dependent on a random inanimate object that produces light :/
I'm so confused. How do people keep their wing power? After eden my wing power went back to 0 forcing me to start all the way over. But you somehow spawned with your power intact. Did I miss something crucial? I feel cheated. All that time upgrading my wings for nothing...

I think you have to crawl even before the season comes, no longer walking, as shown by noob mode.

Honestly, aside from the crawling, I think the changes do make it more of a challenge! I like that they added more lightspots especially. But yeah… they should probably get rid of the crawling after this season.

I found something that might help when you're crawling on the floor. If you deep call a couple of times the crystals on your body disappear and you'll be able to stand up again. After some time you should be back to how it was before the update. Without light but standing normally

Yeah…that hideout at 21:39- a bunch of players hogged this light when me and my bf did Eden yesterday- we crawled for our dear lives to this spot and they refused to budge to let us recharge lol. Really bad planning by tgc since there’s no other “hideout” with lights after this that can hold two players or more either- everyone congregates here.
The new update really sucks 😭 saw a pair of veterans doing a run & one died so my friend went to help. Solo runners (me included) might want to rethink going with friends. Or better yet- not going at all. 🧘🏻♀️

We need more "skips" at the end. I'm tired of the flying sequence. We should be able to skip all the way to the ascended candles part. I'm sorry, but I don't care about flying through the spirits or friends for lights, I have a ton of candles. It wrecks me that we don't have the option with such a long sequence.
I don’t mind most of the flying section but the last stretch when you fly up towards the castle is soooooo bad! 4 out of 5 times I find myself “off” the path, out of light, and becoming a dot on the horizon. Then I have to fly all the way back, recharge, reposition myself, and try again. Heaven help my sanity if that doesn’t work. I’ve been at that part for a good 20 minutes some runs. It really kills the whole mood and is really unfun.
for this part i usually try to catch a ride with the mantas! surprisingl it works pretty well

@@StitchdTeeth yes! Instead of flying through the center and skating down. Stick to teh left side when you come out of the black room, there’ll be a grated window of sorts that you can pass through and from there just go straight up. It’s still a bit of a pain flying all the way up to the spirits but it’s a bit faster than usual

Thank you for this new Eye of Eden guide. This looked incredibly difficult to do now the mechanics have drastically changed. So to show everything as best as you could despite it all is very helpful & appreciated.
Here's a great thing about one of the updates to me, the last part before the part of no return, like where that one krill is at, i got hit by a boulder once and I turned to crystal(/crystals forms on my avatar) and i was in the area where the krill could see me but, he flew over me, so I can really use that to an advantage to not get seen by the krill.
I also if it helps, before the update, i would stay behind a piller and wait about 5-10 minutes trying to find a time to go. It could be the fact i play on switch idk

My theory about this is that we have to save the elder of Eden, cause in the vault cutscene we’re shown a terrifying looking giant elder stuck in the mountain Eden is on. Perhaps they got corrupted and that corruption spread? It would answer why the big crystal looks like a light node that the other elders use to power themselves when we give them our light.
Hiya! I just wanted to make a comment about the end rebirth process! When you are flying up into the stars there has been a small change, you can now look back/down as you fly upwards giving you a truly beautiful view
Okay, I wish that when your in the crawl mode you would still be able to use your candle to light things so you actually can heal but now all my potions are gonna be used TwT
I cant be the only one that feels like this update is just unnecessary right? The previous update of the winds being stronger and loosing more wl when getting hit was already pretty tough but this is just a whole other level of hard. I think this would just prevent people from going into Eden at all and just relying on the season events. I feel like moths would have an extremely hard time and probably wont even be able to reach 10 statues as they wont know they'd have to head towards the lights and wouldn't understand the shards. Its also just a nightmare for solo players. I dunno, I just think that this benefits no one :/

Yeah, I started playing a week ago and when I got to eden I didn't know what tf is going on or what ur suppose to do because they don't tell you anything, so i just died and i got like 2 ascended candles and I don't really see the point in playing more. Good game tho i like the flying mechanic
I did the eden today and it was even easier in some parts?? I love the new end area. You have light and cover. It was much less overwhelming than the long run through neverending rain which always caused me a feeling of helplessness. This time I was just more cautious not to get to crawling too early. At least for the most part of eden you feel like it really depends on your skills not on the number of WL you have. And with props defending you from krills I even decided not to shortcut. Seeing 1st half of eden in a long time was nice. I think I honestly like the atmosphere there. What is sad is - still no skip button for all end cutscenes. It takes so loooooong to be reborn. You cannot even jump now in death room. In the end I got all statues except one I guess? (? Judging by the fact I got a little over 15 ac). BUT this is with 170 WL. So fo new players the ending crowling area will be out of reach truly since when you no longer have light source - you loose WL s with a speed of light now. One loose of light in the beginning cost me like 20 wl lmao. Thank God the "u can do nothing but die" area is now much smaller.

i met a player at the beginning at the gate and went through all the way to the eye of eden and really hard a hard time yesterday, i even found it out before watching this video :( didn't finished all of the statues and it was really frightening for me as a 2 months old player... it's quite really shattering but at the same time challenging and fun :)
When giving light to statues, I always said “Well, you need this more than I do”
Eden doesn't look like it's going to be as difficult as I thought it would, but I still have some questions.
1. If you lose your light in the first or second part of eden (before point of no return) do you crawl or does it work like before?
2. If you place a prop in a place where it isn't destroyed by rocks and you lose all your light, will it disappear?
3. In 30:00 you said you could choose if you wanted to stay and wait for your friend or keep going, how do you choose to keep going? I thought you had to stay there until your friend lost all lights.
4. In 34:02 you said that you got 93 winged lights, including postman and black cape tier 2. Does unlocking the part of the spirit tree where you can get tier 2 capes gives you another winged light in orbit? Or do you need to buy the cape?

2. besides the prop getting destroyed by debris and krill, they should only disappear if you leave the area. thats how its always been, but it’s possible that it couldve been changed, though it doesnt look like it has :0
3. a pop up should appear where you can click yes or no
4. only the first unlocked winged light and the item directly after it in a spirit tree counts. So no, you dont get another winged light if you unlock the 2nd tier and you dont need the last cape(for example tier 2 capes) to fully unlock a spirit and their friendship tree!

I keep thinking that large pipe the birds are going into would be a great shortcut. Just add a spirit gate to it, put in a high number of spirits, then bam, you got a time-saver through Eden. It could simply spit you out in the hallway right before Eden, but you need to avoid the several Krills that patrol the pipeline, peering their spotlight through the open holes of the pipe, but you can make it through no problem.
Omg I can't even speedrun Eden anymore because I actually can't just do the whole thing extinguished

See, I don't hate this update, but I certainly don't like it either. I mean if the only way you can make it through is props and spells (which not every player has), that's kinda silly if we can't make it through based on our own skill. I don't see the point in not having the torch areas later on if they're also going to have the cover areas. Might as well, it's not like the area isn't challenging even with them included.
I just did Eden unaware of the update and got stumped at the end where my and a friend were just crawling through the last section giving away our ever dwindling wl bc we kept getting beamed by rocks in a supposed "safe" hideaway and just got annoyed even trying anymore. In general they need to make the hideaways more consistently effective before adding more difficulty in Eden. Shouldn't be standing in a hideaway and then all of a sudden get beamed by a rock and stunlocked until I lose a wl for no reason.
To be entirely honest, i dont really have much of a problem with the eden changes. Its mildly annoying but i dont really think it makes a massive difference as long as you know what you’re doing.

New player, did the new Eden on my fourth run, and the changes made it kind of easier to get to the last twenty statues. Sure, you get punished harder for getting hit, but if you're careful, you can go pretty far even without 200 WL or a lot of props and potions.

Ohhh, that's what those little blue lights that follow me around are! I've been doing Eden alone the last couple of times, but have encountered strangers doing it at the same time too, and have had a couple of those blue lights follow me around. One of them actually lit me up again in an occasion I was with no light and the nearby lamp was off. I just stayed there, thinking what to do next, and then somehow I had one wing bar and was able to light the lamp.
On another note, does the no-rain glitch still work? I didn't know about it until like two days ago, but Eden has already changed, so idk if it's outdated or what.

The crawling just sucks since if you get hit and lose your light before you get to the end/constant rock rain, it'll probably tank your chances of getting all 63

Don't worry. We wont. I'm just glad there are more accessible statues now. I never complete the endless rain part ànyway. And I only ever go to Eden now if I accidentally lose a lot of wL (afk, krilling, etc). This way I can just collect every wL.
It really depends on your own play style.
If you want to relax and rest, simply don't go to Eden and you don't have to get all the cosmetics.
After awhile you don't even really need the ACs except to buy things.

I am a new player and I just finished first eye of eden run a week ago, it wasn't that much of a problem. I was rather devastated that I died without knowing YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DIE. I was absolutely crushed then the cutscene plays, and you emerge back. it was a rollercoaster of emotions. I ain't even mad. the experience was phenomenal. I didn't know you have to deposit the light into the statues so I didn't get ACs but it's fine, I tried eoe run for experience and i don't care much about costumes anyway.

its not really a volcano though, we can see the true form of it in the next season and also when you approach the sand dunes in the last area of Eden, as well as in the mural. From what we can gather, i think its safe to say it was once a diamond that used to give light to everyone in the Kingdom of Sky, just like how every Elder we has their own smaller version of the diamond. Im lead to believe that maybe, perhaps, the King or Queen used too much and the diamond ran out of light, so now its shooting out darkness because thats all that left

Broke only in the story season only. And since this new season the story is about eden, the position of the statues and some spots changed a bit but it had a big effect on the gathering
I don't really mind the new update for the most part, but I do rather dislike the crawl feature, especially when it comes to No Return and getting AC. Like, we die for these candles, at least make it less grueling to aquire them, I don't wanna crawl around for what feels like half an hour getting whacked by flying rocks while tearing my own life source out to give to statues only to get a few more candles and a long cutscene. I can imagine the update is worse for new players who don't have as much light to spare. Otherwise I don't have any issues, except that sometimes butterflies kidnap you when you try to honk to knock over crabs, which isn't so fun.

i feel like i'm the only moth that LOVES eden. it's one of my favourite levels and i have to actively hold myself back from playing it the minute it allows me in the gate 🤣 my first entire run of the game was done in 5 hours (this was after booting it up for the first time at 12 am on the 27th) and i went into each area pretty much immediately upon "finishing" the previous ones (which left a ton unnoticed by me until i found some maps oops) so i think i had abt 20-21 wl that time and did very well. the run i went on just yesterday (my 3rd eden run on jan 1st at about 2 am) i had smth like 76 wl and i got all bodies(?) but the last 6. i don't find eden to be particularly difficult or scary, but it does seem to take some tuning to the environment to make it around unscathed. maybe that's where the pattern hound autism comes in lmao

technically i started playing Sky a year ago but i had barely played it (hadnt even gotten to eden) and only recently got back into it and now im into it bigtime. Youre videos are SUPER helpful! But in spite of all the research I do I'm just really sad the game is so... i guess not new-user friendly? the game itsself gives close to no instruction on anything and 90% of what ive learned about this game is purely through talking to ppl in-game and youtube videos. And Eden is so hard and I feel like from your video here it sounds like it used to be HARDER? It feels impossible to get any decent number of ascended candles and thats not even counting the fact of you can only do eden once a week apparently(?), so it feels like even if i grinded the game nonstop for a year i still wouldnt be able to complete every ancestor spirit's constellation thing from every different world, I really hope the developmental team makes it easier or gives us a bit more of a reason to want to play bc the idea of doing all that grinding of the game and still getting nowhere is sadly really off-putting :( not to mention how near impossible to get hearts it is, only sending between friends and then the Very Limited number you get from ancestor spirits using candles. idk i think maybe im hoping im misunderstanding and sky really isnt that unwelcoming to new players who do wanna get more into it

I don't think it matters much that it's getting harder especially for moths.
You don't exactly lose anything by dying except your own time. The wls are free to take and overtime your need of ACs also lessens.
Then there's the falling rock event thing that will stay even after season ends.
Honestly, to me it's more about narrative (and time) than difficulty, and I don't like the changes.
Before, you would struggle, plan, spend time hiding, try to *survive* in the first half, and then you get to the constant rain, which is the second half of the level... and suddenly you get a feeling, that maybe survival isn't an option you have. So you run, fall, get up to fall again under the constant rain, slowly realising, that survival has *never* been an option. Whatever you've ever done couldn't lead you anywhere but to your death. So you crawl to your end, trying to do as much good as you can, while you can. It's a very beautiful metaphor I loved very much.
Now they kinda... made this more gradual, deviding the second half into two parts, but now the constant rain part is too short for me. Instead we waste even more time hiding, and then the crawling animation turns the most meaningful last bit into a tedious labor, that demands to have Benny Hill Show's theme as it's background music.
I'm not that conservative and I welcome changes, when they're good, but these ones are painfully... clumsy, I'd say. I hope tgc will work more on them.

I did eden solo and it took a lot longer than before (mostly because of the waiting for the pause in rock fall and the crawling) but 15 AC is still doable. Just takes a bit more time.

The mural shows the corrupt king. It was cut from the original concept art but you still see hints of it in the giant statues in golden wasteland

That isn’t God or king in the Eden constellation. That is the Eden elder in the room, he never makes an appearance, but it is hidden everywhere

I did eden last week and it was pretty easy at the last part where the red crystal dont take a break. But it wouldve been even easier if SKY WOULD TAKE THAT CRAWLING AWAY AND WHEN I GET HIT I ALWAYS LOOSE ATLEAST 5 WL, like cmon tgc i thought this game was suppossed to make me feel relaxed and comfortable👽
Ugh I used to like going to Eden, not that I needed ac but I think the vibe was super cool and thrilling. Now with the crawling animation it's more frustrating than difficult getting to the end.
Crawling animation makes Eden look WAY more gruesome like

As a solo player I don’t understand why people hate this so much? It adds so much more emotion to Eden and added difficulty without it being impossible… I easily got 10AC on my very first run (before I even saw this video) and I loved it! Sure, it’s a shame we can’t jump, but I love how connected they made it to other players as you help each other along, and also providing things for solo players like letting us use the light props and instant recharge spells! Like I genuinely don’t get why people are upset… sure it’s more difficult but that adds to the whole experience in my opinion! :D can’t wait for Season of Shattering!!!

They should make a stealth season at that you learn the ability to crawl and even after the season be able to use it ANYWHERE on the map because dam that lookin good
Ok you know what, eden is more annoying and a lot harder to get all the statues in one run, however its more reliable with more areas to hide behind so it is easier to not get hit, and the shard event means there will be other ways of getting more AC per week, so im actually more than happy for this! Makes eden more intense and intimidating as a final climax for the game

When u are lucky and your body don't have crystal u can jump but one crystal u always fall if u jump so u can jump when body don't have any crystal 😅
Can a props be use as a decoy for krill in eden?
We cannot use props as decoy,
But if you place a prop when a krill is attacking you, you don't get any damage.

I think it was better when you had to deep call/honk to relight your friends since Sky is a game about friends, now you are less dependent on your friends helping you and more dependent on a random inanimate object that produces light :/
It's useful for solo players though.

I'm so confused. How do people keep their wing power? After eden my wing power went back to 0 forcing me to start all the way over. But you somehow spawned with your power intact. Did I miss something crucial? I feel cheated. All that time upgrading my wings for nothing...
