You’re buying it purely for the view.
R M 200ms for these guys are DISPOSABLE income (DI: money left AFTER paying bills)..in other words, it's play money. 200m for multi billionaires is less than 20% of their income. For some reason 432 Park Avenue building's minimal aesthetics stands out as the best every time. Even when the all mirror sculptures are visually more stunning.
We agree - it's the winner on Billionaire's Row.

The interior is outdated though, if you have seen floors other than the penthouse then it isnt worth it
BOBOBOSS Im an architecture student and I think Central Park Tower is a total mess. While 432 park ave and 111w57 have one or a few great ideas and execute them well, Central Park Tower looks like a garbled mess designed by hundreds of people with no cohesion.

It’s sad to think that in all probability, this huge apartment will be bought with no intention of being occupied, to be left unused under dust sheets until it is sold in few years time 🤷♂️ Property markets have got very weird.

I don't understand why anyone would want, never mind need, 11 bathrooms, even in a 6 bed apartment. They could have used the space for more pool rooms or something else ridiculous :D
Great video guys!
Because these apartments are often supposed to be used for entertaining. So you can easily have 100+ people there at a time.
That's 3.5 baths on each floor. One for each bedroom and guests for parties.
Because its pocket money for them
@@mogul1 I would just have people wet themselves then. I'll provide them with wetnaps and baby powder if they don't want to rash up.
So I counted and... 1 per bedroom (staff quarters included), 1 general one on first and second floors and two on the top "entertaining" flaw. If parties are being had, it's nice for the 6 people living and 1 person guesting in the apartment to have their own bathrooms.

Hello everybody i love to invite you for watching and judge this impressive CZcams [Dr.adnan.ibrahim.eng] 🎁 thanks
This channel is so underrated!
The New York Times did a story on "432 Park" and the problems of tall and thin buildings. It is titled "The Downside of Life in a Supertall Tower: Leaks, Creaks, Breaks" dated 2/3/21
As a kid growing up in New York City, specifically The Bronx (poorest of the 5 boroughs), luxurious living for me was never huge mansions. It was always top floor penthouses in Tribeca or along Central Park. It doesn't matter what the same amount of money can get you somewhere else. it's not Manhattan. That desire is why people want to live in luxurious condos and if not that, any other apartments in the area would do, because they're in New York. That's why prices are so high, because the demand is always there. However, demand for normal and more "affordable" living is high, leading to the current housing crisis. This has pushed the prices of luxurious units up, and affordable only to the wealthiest individuals.
but..why? the restaurants? central park? what's so special

Your content never disappointments!
Thank you so much!! We wouldn't be able to create it without so many people watching - thanks for consistently tuning-in 👍
Thank you for not merely addressing what makes the building cool and technically possible but for also discussing the financial ramifications and drivers of these projects. I also understand that with many of these developments many of them are second homes or almost like hotel rooms for foreign visitors and investors as a status property that isn't lived in full time. Granted at this price is think there is incentive to call this their primary home, but I could be wrong.
Anyone with that sort of money has more than one home.
The situation is even more extreme than you suggest. Many of these properties are bought specifically with no intention of ever occupying them. They are purely acquired to be left empty while accumulating wealth through property price increases. In some cases, they are never even fitted out with furniture, because there is simply no point. In some world cities, major new developments like this can expect to be about 80% unoccupied - the building is an asset for trading in most respects, rather than a property in any normal sense.

It’s not just New York. Here in Hawaii we have a lot of luxury high apartments. One was built on top of Ala Moana Shopping center. This Apartment complex baffled me as it was built on top of level 2 where some of the Parking area that used to be for Sears years back, I used to park there when I used to work in town. I was working at Sears at another location part time while also working part time entry level IT help desk at a small company in Honolulu just a block away from the shopping mall. It was how I was able to get free parking, I left my Sears tag on my dashboard so the security thought I worked at Sears Ala Moana. The Apartments complex lists 760 Sq Feet Studio apartments for 1.3 million dollars. I don’t remember how big the other apartments are but I know the Penthouses are nearly 4 million. But even if you were to quadruple the size of the Studio. Is is it really worth 4 million? All units have great views of Ala Moana Beach park and the ocean. There are not many people living there. It’s not because the units are too expensive. They are actually highly desired investment properties where the super wealthy use as a piggy bank to store there money. Banks can’t possibly handle the amount of money some of these rich people have. They have to buy properties to store their money. That’s why these luxury buildings are almost empty. Not many people actually live there. It’s probably worse in NYC. All those lux skyscrapers and lux apartments are not being lived in while NYC and other large cities have a growing homeless population.

BOBOBOSS 2 minutes in an elevator is a long time if you really think about it.
Imagine not using the stairs
@@boboboss9907 I was just joking about it but 2 min still seems kinda long too. Like imagining being late and having to stop at all the other elevations to in the morning or smth like that. 🙈 But I couldnt imagine myself living in such a skyscraper maybe some ppl are okay with it
Amazing 🗽 New York
Ohhh.. wow nice to See ❤
