    someone close to me is a policer officer and i was disgusted to hear one day as he smugly described to us with a big smile and satisfaction on his face that he he thinks its funny when he goes to court for cases like this because he's paid to do so. He was so proud that he can arrest people and they loose their own time and money to fight it in court but he gets paid. Really grossed me out for life.

    I was once given a speeding ticket for sitting in traffic. I laughed at the officer because he said “You looked like you wanted to go fast!”… When that was played at the hearing, the judge, the clerk, and his fellow officers in the courtroom ALL LAUGHED at him… the judge threw out the charges and apologized. 😂

      @@burlosborne3647 They are still a judge, they have to take classes, and if they serve more than 5,000 people they are required to be full-time. They have legal authority. They are perfect for these low level crimes. If the people have any issue they can appeal like other courts. Also, farmers and factory workers can very well have more legal knowledge than the police....as seen on this channel lol

      Does this apply to all situations of flashing to warn people?
      If your family member was being abused by a gang and someone flashed their lights to warn them the police were coming, would you support that? Or do you just mean warning people about speed traps?

      @Living Art In the video he says that the law pertaining to flashing lights is in regards to having flashing lights, ie: emergency lights, on your vehicle, rather than flashing your headlights. Your sisters savior should be fine.

    I once nearly got arrested in VA for telling a cop to “give me the ticket (that I deserved), arrest me, or let me go. I am tired of the lecture”. I seriously thought he was going to do it, but he backed down and gave me my speeding ticket.

      @@Primus54 um.. public defenders are the true heroes of the judicial system, NOT prosecutors, despite the propaganda. Of course there are crappy ones, like in any profession, but most seem to try their best for their clients despite being given an absurdly low amount per client and usually a flat fee regardless of the hours they put in. Take that vs prosecutors who have an entire police force and support staff at their disposal including lab techs and “experts”.
      And a magistrate is a “real” judge. They handle citations and traffic tickets usually but also set bail and bail conditions for individuals (regardless of crime) and do preliminary hearings after which your case will go to the Court of Common Pleas where they handle trials and the like.

    This conviction was overturned! Outstanding! They appealed and WON! This Attorney is awesome! Flashing headlights is not a crime as it pertains to equipment only! Now they get to file civil rights violation! Tyrants need to be educated, arrested and fired. Qualified immunity needs to go!

      Our officers still don't wear body cams, I have even gone as far as to let the city know how unsafe many of us feel and not because of criminals but because of our aggressive police force with no body cams, bullying the cities citizens and getting away with it because it's their words over a (guilty until proven innocent) civilian. And do they pay us back for our time or our court document fees or impound and towing cost? NO they make you pay it and if you lose your car or house or job because of them it's still the same they do nothing for their mistakes except profit, and I don't even leave my house anymore.

    As a cop, this sort of conduct is absolutely unacceptable, and embarrassment, and should be an example exactly how not to police the community you’re responsible for serving. It doesn’t matter if a person makes you personally mad, it is the individual who is a law-enforcement officers responsibility to maintain professionalism, as is expected by the community. They appealed the conviction, got it overturned and dismissed, and are now going to follow up with a Civil Rights Lawsuit. This lawyer is also in the process of digging up past unlawful arrest made by this same officer. Hopefully they’re able to expose more misconduct and win the lawsuit.

    There’s no “Justification” to what he did and the officers “state of mind” here should be relevant, and should, in this case, invalidate the arrest. He was going to let him go, and then arrested him for his speech, or laughing at the officer, bruising his ego. And it doesn’t make any sense that the court decided to drop the charge that he was LAWFULLY arrested for and instead convicting him on the charge that was found to be unconstitutional in another districts proceeding. Shame on the justice system in this case. SHAME

You can get pulled over and have the cop check that he suspected you committed a crime, conviently targeting minorities. That a White man got pulled into this mess and tucketed is an accident, not the cause. There would be no way to disprove that the cop thought a Black man had an unsigned registration. It's just another way police abuse minorities. That is almost all of the reason we have these types of laws.

      @@bobsmith-ji2uh it's also worth noting that once any crime is suspected that the individual has absolutely no more rights. Privacy is gone. They can search and seize anything under any presence and since all it takes is an unsigned registration, I can guarantee that 90% or more of tickets issued for it are from minorities. Of course police will never release that data. And the idea that you can be arrested for not signing it? Yea... that is just prison profiteering.

      My town used to pull over and cite people for doing that. They had set an unmarked vehicle before a checkpoint or a traffic enforcement and upon seeing a vehicle flashing their lights to signal incoming drivers, they would pull them over. Multiple drivers took that to court and they ruled it unconstitutional.

    Watching all of these Audit the Audit videos has made me realize something. With all of the reference to case law, that's basically regular everyday people are spending thousands of dollars of their hard earned money for lawyers to figure out the interpretation of the law. Just think about it for a minute. How messed up is that?

    Yes, warning other drivers of a speed trap might be considered "perverting the course of justice".
    Which is why, in a similar situation, the correct response is "I'm sorry officer, you must be mistaken. I was flashing my lights to warn other drivers of the deer I saw in the trees back there".

      @@nieshamccoy9419 That was the violation used to detain him after the traffic stop for flashing his lights, which although legal was clearly spiteful. The issue here is that he was cited for flashing his lights, based on a law prohibiting flashing lights on a vehicle. Two completely different things, and a good judge would know that. The law is clearly intended to keep citizens from putting emergency type flashing lights on their vehicles, not from flashing or using their highbeams. Horrible cop and even worse judge that would rule against the driver here.

    This is typical of sociopathic behavior. I was in traffic court once and we were all sitting waiting to be called by the judge. This was before paying at the window or mailing in your ticket. A man was cited for trespassing at a local swimming pool. He was called up, the judge read the citation, asked how do you plea? The man said guilty. The judge said, fifty dollar fine plus court cost, oh, and by the way, what were you doing at the pool? The man said, It was very hot and thought we could sneak in and go swimming, the man let out a little chuckle. The judge took what heard, internalized it, and used that as weapon to further inflict harm on this man. The judge said, so think this is funny, (the man was amused at himself for what he had done) I'm not done with you. Then the judge yelled at the man, two days in jail and a hundred dollar fine, sit over in that chair until an officer comes to get you. This is not the America I served. Scouts Out
