I like what you did with the canopy, looks way better. Would you recommend this plane?
Thanks I’ve added a pilot recently and it looks pretty good! I only wish they didn’t paint the canopy to begin with. I would of just hand painted the frame myself. I highly recommend it to experienced modelers and intermediate to expert RC pilots even with the cheap electronics it came with it flies very docile and on rails. Very predictable and no funny tendencies. Testament to the design of the P 38 I guess. It’s no speed demon but it’s actually one of my favorite planes to fly and it looks awesome in the air!
That’s a nice summary you did. I just bought one from AliExpress on sale for $71 without electronics. I figured out the same thing too to use the GWS manual. I hope my parts done show up as bent as rc saylors did. Yours looks pretty straight. I’m planning on doing the same thing hand toss/belly land with 2 blade props. I have a router base attachment for my dremel and with a spiral cut bitt I have started making recesses for speed controls on the bottom of wings and enlarging battery compartments. It looks like if I put the ESC’s under the center wing and move the battery tray aft it will balance with a 3s 2200.
