For the record, Bill Burr appreciates reactions to his comedy, and has said he won't ding you for copyright or takedowns as long as the special being reacted to is at least 6 months old. That way, it's already made most of its money. So you don't need to cut up reactions to his routines.

That's what got me started
He seems pretty honest when he speaks about his dad. He actually teared up during a set (that wasn't a special), when he was talking about taking his wife to go and meet his dad for the first time. Apparently his dad is a completely different person now, and his wife loves him; but Bill still has a hard time with it because of how he and his brothers grew up.

He's got a daughter and recently a son. Seems alright at it, you can hear his daughter barging in on his podcast sometimes and he's super sweet to her.
I married my high school sweetheart, when we were still in our teens . . . that was 50 years ago and she's just getting out of the shower heading for bed and I'm about to scamper upstairs to join her. After 6 kids and hovering at 17 grandkids I love her more today than ever. I genuinely feel bad for folks who aren't happily, eagerly, sharing all of their life with someone they love and who loves them - every other way to
go through life falls way short of togetherness.

@@OMGtheykilledKenny42 I don't like people but I tolerate them for my wife. I laugh and act jovial for her. She is extrovert and I'm a natural introvert. We're like a puzzle piece that fits together. Just learn to slowly come out of your shell (easier aid than done, I know)....but people are just people. They won't bite. The best way I found is to fake it until you found something that works. Don't worry about impressing people. Who cares what others think. Life is too short for that. Introverts OBSERVE....learn to read people and who you should and shouldn't approach. You'll get the hang of it. Hope this helped some. It's never easy, but if you don't play...you can't win.

I have 2 kids and I’ll tell you I’m a different person then I was in the start. I was very similar to Bill Burr especially with my OCD. I have found that raising kids is a balancing act between directing them and pushing them. Funny how I almost feel that raising kids helped raise me to be a better man.

The problem with most people these days is they don't take marriage seriously. When you take those vows, those "till death do us part", your supposed to live by that, through the good AND the bad. People are constantly changing throughout they're lives, right up until they die, and not all the changes people go through will be good, but that's not an excuse to bail on a marriage. I knew a couple that had been married for 50+ years, and throughout the marriage they both had to deal with the other having an affair, occasion drug addictions, and even some verbal AND physical abuse during some of the roughest times, yet neither one of them EVER even considered divorce. THAT is what marriage is supposed to be, you take the good and the bad. People are always changing, no one is ever good forever, or bad forever. A marriage will have happy phases and bad phases, but you have to stick with it and hope for AND work towards making things better. Marriage is forever, period, full stop, no do overs, no second changes.

I have been married for 22 years, it gets better and better the longer you are together, but to have a long lasting marriage is about finding the right person to marry and being commited to being together for life. Its hard work but very rewarding. Infact, I wont even think about cheating because no other woman would be like my wife, she is my everything and I will not settle for less.

His dad sounds exactly just like mine, thankfully he wasn't a drinker, so there was never any physical contact involved. His voice could be heard 3-4 houses next to mine. Anyway, it is absolutely normal for men to whine about his other half in front of his friends. And it is utmost important for couple to have some "me" time to blow out the gas. No matter how many times you had argument, as long as both sides are communicating and I strongly believe that love consists of effort from both men and women. It's similar to fishing, sometimes you pull, sometimes you let go. Give and take, never be the one that give or take in full or it'll be a one sided love.
Here's a list of comics for you to check out, Bill is one of my favorites, besides George Carlin, Jim Jeffries, Trevor Noah, Christopher Titus, Jimmy Carr, Mo Amer, Fred Klett, Robert Mac, Matt Falk, Billy Gardell, Russell Peters just to name a few. I can never pick who's first, second or third because they all have their personal skills to interact and connect with their audiences. Most comedians do share similar topics but never the same story.
At least laughing and comedy is not categorized as healthcare so you have a lot of laughing to do without worrying to pay the bill.

Helicopter story is pretty hilarious
It's the whole clash of ego's and pride. Since I observe human behavior, I noticed there are a lot of double standards people try to keep going, instead of making things equal between the 2 sexes. What used to work in the 50's and 40's and back stopped working 70's on up. A man can hold open a door for a woman today and he can get 1 of a couple reactions "How dare you! I don't need no man!" or just plain silence, not even a general "Thanks" or in some rare cases "You think I owe you sex now?!". Couples also don't really get to know each other first any more, if the 2 people can get each others rocks off and that's the only thing about the relationship that's keeping them together then its going to fail, they'll get bored of each other and cheat, the only difference with that is, its literally encouraged for women to cheat while if a guy cheats he's treated as if he raped her. Both sexes cheat, lets be real here, it just depends on each individual case.

@@JayShara You are very welcome beautiful. And I think I made the decision that many people refuse to make. Some people shouldn't be in relationships. Not everyone is compatible. Despite that, people still get into relationships because of their own personal want of being happy. I know that I'm a hard man to love, so I don't put women through that anymore.

Its an adult thing. One day you realize that the feeling of love and desire for your partner, is not constant. It comes and goes. A relationship is EASY when you’re in that state of mind. Its the other times, that separate the men from the boys. Its rough. It takes ungodly patience. I have three engagements and one divorce on my resume. You’re heartbroken with the first. You try really hard with the second. The third one is the best by far, but now you’re all fucked up. Life.
FYI, Bill Burris a great guy, him and Patrice O’Neal were great friends, as a matter fact he helps out Patrice O’Neal’s family ever since Patrice O’Neal passed away

I am married form when I was 28 years. Now am 41 and I feel it.
I was afraid of marriage, but it's because my mom is a very unpleasant person. I've been married for 12 years now, and I don't regret it at all. I got lucky enough to find a good woman (and convince her I was worth spending time on lol), and my whole paradigm of thought shifted.

Long term relationships are considered unhealthy if they don't have any conflict which has to be worked through for the growth of each person. The challenge is communicating the conflict in a non threatening, vulgar, or abusive manner. This is extremely challenging when emotions are at their threshold.....
The thing about long term relationships and marriage is that it actually takes work. All relationships have bad times. Just make sure the person you are with is someone that you love just the way they are, not someone that you want to change.

My first marriage was a complete trainwreck. Once divorced I took 5 years...yes 5 years off. Remembered who I was. Then I found my current wife. She is amazing. Learn from your chit...relationships need to be both sides giving everything and not caring about what you get.....if you get that where two good people give everything they have to each other.....you will always get more than you gave.
FYI....Some things you should know about STAND UP...First, there is no "fourth wall"! The fourth wall is the camera. In stand up (which makes it different) you are one with the audience interacting! Also, one of the prime tenets of STAND UP is don't be anchored to the truth! ALL joke have to be based in the truth but what make them funny is its an exaggeration of the truth! And most of all, what you don't see are all the hours over many years that they worked on their craft to get to the point it seems easy!!! By the time you get to the point of where Mr. Burr is...TRUST...he already knows when you are going to laugh and how hard!!! He also knows when you are going to groan or go awwww.....THAT IS THE JOB MY DEAR!!!
