I'm a gun owner...both my children have gone to classes & know how to be safe with a firearm. We shoot weekly. I'm not a conservative by any means but I'm a firm supporter of the 2nd amendment. I do not trust the government or the police to keep me safe. They only react AFTER the fact...just the nature of it all. I grew up with guns around. I went years without owning one until I moved to Memphis and found a stranger in my 2 yr old son's room. I'll NEVER be caught with my hands tied again. Even the reporting officer (a real nice guy, btw) said: we only REACT. My advice is get a gun, get certified to carry & practice. Be PROactive

Gentleman with the pistol on his hip was open carrying. I had a few gun violence incidents when I was kid that made me skittish. Just had to get over it, learn how to properly handle them and protect my family. Please arm yourself and learn how to use it. Anyone who doesn't want you armed, is not your friend.

I love how people always blame the gun more than the person using it. Take away guns and criminals will simply move to a different type of weapon. A gun is an inanimate object, it's harmless unless it's in someone's hands.
Gospel, I've been around firearms since I was five (Just as a reference I remember when Gillian's Island went from black and white to color) and I've never seen a firearm jump up and fire it's self.

Not everyone who shoots one is crazy either people have fought since the beginning of time how many arguments that led to a shooting do you think could have ended up with bloodied noses instead of riddled corpses?
I don't understand what people think would happen. If guns were banned, criminals wouldn't be like "oh shit, now what", they'd just have to find a way to get supplied. Drugs ain't legal, yet people can get them. Why would guns be any different?
@@FiveN9ne Exactly, even if they couldn't get a gun they'd simply use something else. If they couldn't get a gun they wouldn't be like "oh no I can't get a gun, I guess I can't kill this person".

Wow! Sorry to hear that you had such a traumatic experience with gun violence. I (and a lot of people I know) tend to come to watch CZcams reactions for enjoyment and relaxation, so I would say that that painful situation of yours doesn't need to be shared with us, unless "you feel" 100% comfortable with it (We're not here to make you uncomfortable, we're here to share the smiles and laughs with you). Whichever you decide is cool, peace.

The funny thing about statistics is that you can use them to support almost any point. You don't even have to lie. You can use real and accurate data, but just present it in different ways to convince people about whatever you're talking about.

I was shot 2 and 1/2 times as a teen - once in the leg, once in the ear. The 1/2 time is when I shot myself after the bullet I fired ricocheted off a concrete wall and struck me right below the left eye.

Maaaan I am friends with a Chief of a Fire Department and his house is in a great neighborhood, his house got broken into and they stole all his guns out of his safe. Point is, it doesn't matter where you live if people want to get what's yours they will try.

Sorry to hear you were a victim. I turned around at a suburban party to find myself staring down a loaded 9mm that some dumbass had handed to my klutzy drunk friend and she'd never held a gun before and was unintentionally pointing it at my face. The dude was her boss and he's shouting at her he'd told her not to point it because there was a bullet in the chamber. Man, I freaked out.

I'm all for the 2nd amendment and everyones right to keep and bear arms even in a safe area it just takes 1 person how ever if you do get firearms I do suggest getting some range time in and don't be scared to tell the dealers and instructors you know nothing about firearms their more then willing to help an want to help. The main reason we own guns is to train and prep for the worst and hope for the best and that we are never put in a position where we are forced to use it. I been training on firearms since I was 7. Train my nieces nephews kids and friends kids on them how to respect them use them and the dangers of them and it's drilled into them from birth because we own guns and even if you don't you should do the same because you don't know which of their friend house holds have them around. Same with fire I know my kids gonna do that thing we all did get a hold of a lighter or matches and start playing with fire so I teach them how to build a proper fire respect it and never leave it unattended and I catch them playing with a fire irresponsibly I get on to them but if they have them a proper fire properly tending it I think it would be irresponsible to get on them over it make them try and hide it and put them in a more dangerous situation. I live in the woods my nieces and nephews take my firearms and train with targets all the time. I would also add they are more accurate with firearm and follow better discipline with the firearms then many law enforcement officers.

I want to hear about your gun experience. It's easy to assume that someone else has gone through some type of drama in their life, but you hardly ever imagine that they might have almost died. I think a lot of people have those stories that we just don't, won't, or refuse to talk about.
I'd love to take you to a range some time to throw some lead down range. It would help you get over anything that happened to learn about them and use them in a safe environment. A gun is no worse than a knife, in fact if you are within 20 feet of someone a knife is more dangerous than a gun. Guns just have a bad rep.

Having a gun is very important. Everybody should own atleast 2, if not 3. One for home protection, another for carrying in public for self defense. But if you ever get around to buying one, I suggest you buy 1 handgun, 1 shotgun, and 1 rifle, In that order.. lol. You should buy, 1 glock 19-9mm, 1 mossberg 12-gauge pump shotgun, and 1 Armalite AR-15 in .556 caliber.. lol. You'll be all set, if you get all 3 of these... lol
