Nikhil brings back my memories of viva interviews in my enginneering days. The moment I start to answer, lecturer starts another question. Bhai bolne toh de..
Glad to know i m nt the only one who felt that
Loved the insight but Nikhil should contain his enthusiasm a little, felt like he was interjecting a lot 😅
He is just excited. That's what podcasts are for. If he won't contribute, it will turn out to be a bland conventional interview. His curiosity helps us learn and see new perspectives. Also, at no point I found that to be interrupting.
Atleast he is not just moving his head.
And he is asking valid questions what a student of business would ask.
Nope looked fine to me. Sometimes you need to probe on some topics.
I agree because guest is adding more to the previous question, might get more insights till the moment you interrupt and ask him something else and this breaks the flow and switches the focus
He is invested in pvrinox that's why he is asking to much ..
Dude, control. Nikhil takes himself so seriously that he thinks he is a police inspector investigating a case rather than interviewing. I really wanted to hear the PVR director a lot but Nikhil frustratingly kept interjecting with his 2-day research.
Its edited that way. In the full video you can see he doesn't interrupt that much
Exactly, I felt that. Especially when he brought out the single screen south and north share.
Hey Nikhil, let the interviewee speak, try not to interject so much.
Interviewee* Nikhil is the interviewer
Haha nikhil always straightforward with his Questions, really good but make sure to not to upset or interrupt the speaker during his speech of insights for which data is harder to find on the outside view.
yeah lo, interrupting intellectual folks is not a good idea
I agree with this comment I was about to say that. Nikhil's demeanour is quite strict. It is a little uncomfortable to watch. Smile a little.
A superb point he mentioned was how we feel like we're heroes when we even go to the loo. I've noticed in at least the PVR I go to, the blare franchise theme music. Anything from Indiana Jones to Star Wars to Mission Impossible. Definitely makes me feel like I haven't stepped out of a film, but still am in one! It boggles my mind how much thought would've gone behind that small detail
Literally nowhere i can find these stats about cinema than I found in this video, your content is really inspiring and intuitive! Never got bored through the video
This podcast is just gold! The people, the questions, the conversations are the best!
@nikhil kamath - Dude you keep cutting out the guests sentences. The reason people watch internet over TV is they get better listening hosts. You seem to be in a rut to finish some list than listen to the guests knowledge. People do not like it. They would rather spend 5 mins more on a video than watch a video where the guest cannot even share all he speaks- viewers are here to listen to the guests rt?
Please focus on quality not just quantity of questions by cutting out the guest. Examples
1:48 , 2:18, 2:55, and many more
I think YT needs more such content. Please bring more such good quality content.
Such a thoughtful and detailed video. Many things to know from this. A well churned content.
You are the only billionaire at this age @nikhil started from scratch and maintained distance from Chinese investment. You are truly our next generation benchmark
Thank you for that detailed review; love the PVR Cinema experience! Bangalore
Nikhil u run the best podcast in youtube and ask what we all wanted to know and what we wanna bring change in !
Coming from Chennai which is like a crazy movie going city, I think I speak for most of the Chennai cinephiles that PVR is all about glitze n glamour n not about the actual movie experience.. for instance, Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai had earned the adoration of city due the quality (sound & projection), punctuality of the shows, reasonable cost of F&B n everything.. PVR took over Sathyam and they have completely run it down the drain. U can have all the granite laid aesthetically lit loos in ur cinema halls.. but I don’t go to movies for spending 3 hours at the loo.
Idk why, it's so soothing to hear Nikhil Kamath, the way he speaks, clearly & slowly. His voice can help people sleep.
Highest Number Of Single Screens Are From Telangana & Andhra The Nizam & Hyderabad Market And We Still Have MG, Hires, Benefit Shows.
Excessive interruptions from the host made it difficult to understand a complete sentence.
PVR's main business is selling expensive popcorns and soda.
Showing movies is just a side gig.
Unfortunately, the revenue sharing metrics is the bad element in this…
Nice informative video.
I have been thinking about increasing footfall at marathi cinema.
Marathi cinemas have great content but due to poor interest of locals and also strong presence of bollywood, we fail to hit the glass ceiling of 100cr collection.
Despite both mentioned causes few marathi movies have done well.
Its about time that maharashtra sees good revenue generation in marathi cinema.
Thanks for this information.
Very much useful and able to understand how PVR is generating the profit
Very interesting and informative.
Fantastic analysis. Felt like Learned something
what did you learn?
True, what did you learn? All I saw is host cutting off the guest as if he just want content.
@@Inahigherlifehe learnt he should watch movies in the theatre
Washroom analogy is soo true
Sir please add a PVR IMAX screen in Hyderabad with the latest laser tech and Dolby Atmos.
Let him speak for a minute ... Plz nikhil
It’s better that the director speaks, Nikhil you gotta listen and then wait and then ask the next question.
Someone ask him why the heck does popcorn cost more than the tickets….
The varying penetration of multiplexes in South and North India can be attributed to a combination of cultural, economic, and demographic factors. In South India, traditional single-screen cinemas often hold cultural significance, and the preference for local language films may impact the demand for multiplexes. Additionally, economic factors, regional film industry dynamics, and population density differences play roles in determining the viability and growth of multiplexes in different regions. Understanding these nuances is crucial for tailored strategies to enhance multiplex penetration in specific markets. 🎬🌐
You should've asked him about popcorn
Great content 👍
Nice flex Ajay - Patek Phillipe Nautilus 😂
Ahh, a man of culture moment, brother. BTW, the other guy funky guy beside Nikhil was sporting a CasiOak.
I'd love for you to take a deep dive in Gurgaon and how NCR is still finding ways to be better! Explore the place for yourself locally and stay there on grass root level, not as a CEO but as a traveller, A common man.
What mic do you use?
nikhil is my new favourite host man. straight up asks PAISA KITNA KAMAYA TUNE lol
He did not ask the question on popcorn ...
Tell pvr group to open atleast on cinema hall in varanasi up
Boy in orange shirt, let the PVR director speak man, Stop cutting him off.
Bro the boy in orange shirt makes more then 1000 crore per year. 😅
@@pahliibaar who cares if he’s making 1000 CR if his listeners can’t understand.
Nikhil, either your edit pattern is too rushed or you come across rude and annoying by interjecting the guests so too often while they speak. Your research is wonderful but your over enthusiasm in showing it off and come across as ‘my questions better than your answers’ comes across in your videos quiet profanely
Just let the man speak!!
For those who think Nikhil is interrupting speaker or video is poorly edited or video title is slightly misleading . This video is just part of 2hrs long podcast , watch the entire episode to understand it
The host interjected a lot which was not required.
Latturu was a great capital city in the first millennium
The capital city of imperial Kannada dynasty -The Rastrakootas who ruled entire India from Bharuch to Bengal from Kannauj to Kanyakumari
Good stuff
Ashish bhai thumbnail pe 😂😂
I was looking at the starters
superb
2 billion out of 42 is quite good. It is 5%, same as gdp.
Looks like a police investigation. But good information
Interruption leads to lesser insights.. please dont interrupt frequently
Why you are not opening PVR in Varanasi ?
Why are snacks so expensive at PVR?
Great video but hoping for a reaction video 😅 a surprise
Pvr should make an ott Platform
The people who subscribe to loyalty program are small set of people, who are most likely from affluent families.
Nothing wrong with that but extrapolating that datapoint (for wider audience) to meaningful business decision must yield inconsistent result.
bhai bolne toh de samne wale ko . he couldn’t complete even once
I guess you should hold on with yours thoughts till the guest finishes his thoughts. There were couple of incidents here .
Too many mid way interruptions by anchor.. we want to hear what the speaker was saying. V distracting.
Questions cud come after he completes his sentences.
Also, food service in between is distracting as well
Why does the interviewer never allow the interviewee complete his points?
So many times he's not being allowed to conclude his points.
Gulbarga has more population than Latur we still don't have PVR, there are 3 multiplex in City 'Inox' being the latest
he works in my household as a painter and his sun work my callege
Pvr shd also bring back avatar 2, brahmastra. They can even Netflix series money heist, foundation, fauda, really those has theatrical values
I would watch fauda on big screen
2:17
Don't interrupt
Let the man talk
Be patient.
WE don't need another
OR KNOB GO SMELLY
Sahi hain Bhai food and beverage ka poocha hi nahi
indian cinema earned 2 billion this year this means 70% money
Frequent interruptions to speakers not ok
Its more like a job interview 😀
Looks like a Sales review meet 🙈
bruh is wearing a patek phillipe damn!!
Nikhil don’t just interrupt them dude
Yes they're making 42 bil globally. But they also make better quality movies and also there's a disparity between India and ROW about purchasing power. India is a poor country. The ticket prices in India is almost similar or higher to many developed EU countries. But people in India doesn't earn that much money to spend for a movie. It looks like a luxury from financial perspective
Who's going to ask about the expensive popcorn?
I'll watch whole interview if you tell me you asked him the Popcorn question
Nhi pucha usne 😭😭
Insights are good. But please allow the speaker to complete his statements. Looks you are in hurry and it irritates when you cut him off
Looks like they had two other guys to just eat biscuits
Zerodha ka game samajh mein aagya
We still have hires in Andhra.
only legends notice his Patek Philippe nautilus
IMO, lot of interruptions from the host. Let the interviewee finish.
Why ashish is in the thumbnail no sense bane raha in the the thumbnail
I reduced going to PVR because they run 15 mins advertisement at the beginning of show. And in some cases during interval 10 mins of advertisement. Keep doing this and it will increase annoyed customers.
Last time I went to PVR movie theatre, there was 30 mins of repeated ad.
What chocolates are they eating?
I dont think he is interjecting. It is just how the video was edited
How can you interrupt the guest you call on your show ? Ask a question and then keep quite to listen to the answer.
Great insights, however, it can be better if you don’t interrupt the interviewee and let them finish their thoughts.
the interviewer keeps interrupting the interviewee so much! the person couldn't convey his whole thought/statement.
I'm From Latur .!!
But the PVR over Here doesn't provides all kinds of movies like even now the movie JAILER of Super star Rajni kant sir is not Streaming in that cinema
The PVR over here is way too old, no renovation , nothing Exciting .. like even the quality of free water is not good (no mineral water)
people of latur like to go out and spend but there are not many options ..
Everything is related to the content first .
Content is dead in cinemas at the moment.
Bring back the proper content (Reason why OTT flourised) , Also CBFC needs to be fired and removed.
We need to implement something like the MPAA, like they have in the US .
The MPAA consists of studio execs and actors, directors and other movie related personnel who actually know about movies, rather than some political appointee of the government who might try pushing his/her own version of "sanskaar" and censors movies arbitrarily without any notion of why some scenes are important to the movie.
You're a billionaire Nikhil, why are you running ads on CZcams ?!
Make your popcorn cheaper Mr. PVR man
Ek meet Ashneer bhai se b karlo ab😁
ashneer feku hai. thats why getting kicked out everywhere.
Kyon?
50 percent is a lot a fucking lot , producers should get way more , why are distributers getting 50 like wtf
Can someone revisit this video timestamp 4:57 / 9:41 there is someone laughing after a comment they made, freaked me out!
Damn it's like an alien is laughing💀
While I was writng this comment I was not sure that May be I am the only one feeling that Nikhil is too dominant and interuptive guy while interviewing, Nikhil humble suggestion let the guest complete their part, please go thrugh the other comments too which are more insightful.
Never knew arjun Rampal owned PvR
❤❤❤😍😍😍✌️😎
All the people saying let the interviewees speak. It's a fucking conversation not an interview.
missed out a lot of information just because the interviewer does not know when to ask a question.
Ask a 1 questions at a time and let him complete his answer. Ok !.
Let him complete. I was involved and suddenly u r interrupting and moving to next question.
Multiplex robs the customers. I hate this chain cancer system. Single screens are best
